isnt he a guy in the anime? whyd they change the gender, hmmm this does make things clearer, in the anime he would always act weird with the other guy characters stare it would make sense in the manga but it made me uncomfortable wen i was watchn the show question
Yep, my sister and I used to really hate it at first, but now we've gotten used to it. The end of the manga is so great and Akito turns out being good, so it doesn't matter. If you look on Wikipedia though, it does state that Akito is a male in the anime. The anime is just a taste of what the manga is, so they didn't want to make it too complicated. But there are hints since manga number 2 (or 3?) that Akito is a girl, and Shigure sneaks off to see her. A lot of things become more clear when you re-read it. It really is a great, complex story, and I love it. heart
