Welcome to my little thread/journal. I hope to someday be able to accurately RP with this shop with my own pokemon, but until then I'll just fiddle around with this and such <3. Any concerns or what-not can be PMed, if that's alright.

Name: Aislin (pronounced ASH-lin) June Duboi (Dew-bwah. IT'S FRENCH SOUNDING) Age: 25 Gender: Female Pokemon: White Sneasel (Hyacinth) Birthday: October 21 From: Hearthome, Sinnoh. Position: Watcher-photographer. Job: High photographer for the magazine "Encounter". (Encounter is to the pokemon world as National Geographic is to our world). Likes: Pokemon- particularly dark/ice/fire/&electric, photography, traveling, drawing, living a simple life, people who are honest with themselves and can take sarcasm, playing her guitar and piano/keyboard. Dislikes: Abuse of pokemon, prissy/snobby jerks, overly sensitive people, living a luxurious over-the-top life. Physical Description: There's nothing too special about Aislin. She stands at an average 5'6" with an athletic build and appropriate curves. Her skin's been tanned a medium-light shade due to constantly being outdoors and light freckles have started to appear on her forearms and shoulders. Her hair, a strawberry-blond shade (with more blond than strawberry) falls just to her shoulders in a layered fashion as slightly choppy bangs fall across her forehead. Her eyes are a honey shade of brown/gold and rimmed with dark lashes while her dark eyebrows are commonly seen as being held in a questioning arch. Personality: Aislin is an almost well-rounded girl when it comes to her personality. She's somebody who enjoys being alone and with her work, but also one who likes to have a few good laughs with others. Shy around people on first meetings, if one shares a common interest, she'll usually open up fairly early. In all circumstances, she's incredibly laid-back and open-minded, and it takes a bit to get her genuinely mad... however she can be quite the control-freak at times, and if not listened to, she's known to become snappish. *She's not one who's into the whole battling thing and she sees it almost cruel. And you can be sure that she will never enter a contest/show, for she almost despises them. Dressing up one's pokemon and having them perform little stunts? Degrading, in her opinion. May revise or add-on later. Parents: Aislin's parents are Alexander and Melanthe Duboi, a very aristocratic-ish and incredibly wealthy family. In one word they can be described as "snobs" and they can be held to that stereotype/label like no other. Sitting on their large estate in their gigantic mansion, they care nothing for those who're lower then themselves and could care less for any pokemon other than their own. Her mother -- a famous concert pianist -- spends most of her time breeding and showing her world-class Meowths and Persians (something that Aislin almost despises - the showing, that is, not the pokemon), and her father is constantly at men's clubs golfing, or holding up his iron empire with his snotty Espeon in tow. History: Later.

Type: Sneasel Gender: Female Physical description: White fur, pink tail and ear-fan, icey turquoise eyes, gold chest and forehead jewels and gold claws. Temperament: Hyacinth - currently - isn't the most friendly thing on the block. She's not mean... or, well, that's what Aislin hopes. She's just aggressive because she isn't used to being in contact with humans. She seems to fair OK with other pokemon, though, unless they approach her in what she could consider a threatening manner (hyper, fast, loud, etc.). She keeps her distance from Aislin and often walks behind her or to the side... which means that Aislin can normally be found walking backwards since Hyacinth has already taken a surprise swing at her from behind. The whole fact that Hyacinth also refuses to stay in a pokeball doesn't help the matter. About: Working on it 8D But here are some I hope to get *shot*: -Meowth (hoping to get one and have it be from her parents) -Ninetails ( DO WANT.) -Pikachu -ABSOL <333 -Ponyta -Luxray ....I basically like them all.
-Gardevoir -Zangoose -SUICUNE (HA, yeah right. I love Suicune, though <3)

Snow fell lazily through the bitter air. In the hazy distance, Christmas lights outlined most rooftops and shop windows like colorful mini beacons while the real lighthouse roved round and round far to the left out in the middle of the unseen sea. In the street below only a few walked the icy curbs, their bodies thick and puffy, knitted scarves secure around their necks and mouths to catch the eddies of snow that were whipped up off the street by passing vehicles. Random little breezes swept other snow off shop overhangs and roofs so that it could settle on other roofs and fill the little gaps in the intricate, New Orleans-styled, wrought iron balconies of a corner apartment building where, while little white lights blinked around every conceivable angle and gave off a look and feeling of “cheer”, wasn’t so cheerful and was just as cold inside as the cement it stood on outside.
See, for the past two days the building itself had some malfunctions, and those malfunctions dealt with the central water heater and the central… thing that controlled every furnace in the entire complex. Actually, there was nothing wrong with the furnace – just that its gas had been turned off until the water heater was fixed so that there wouldn’t be some catastrophic explosion. So, basically… everyone was devoid of heat and water. And it was snowing. And cold. And Aislin wasn’t thrilled.
“ ‘It’ll be fixed in a few hours, miss’, ‘it’ll be fixed by tonight, miss’, ‘it’ll be fixed by tomorrow, miss’,” Aislin mimicked the voice of the superintendent with sheer resentment as she sat in front of the portable heater while in full-out arctic gear and shoved into a down sleeping bag. Every person who had an apartment without a fireplace had been given a couple portable electric heaters until the “problem” was resolved. Obviously Aislin was one of those without a fireplace, much to her dismay…
She wasn’t actually so much troubled by the cold – she withstood freezing temperatures pretty well – but it was more about the fact that she had just gotten back from a two-week long, butt-freezing excursion and, instead of being greeted with a hot shower and real food, was subjected to eating pre-frozen junk and basically camping in her home. Yee-frickin’-haw.
“At least there’s still electricity,” she mumbled to herself and flicked on the TV… though immediately flicked it off again when Hyacinth rounded the corner from the kitchen. What she’d been doing in there was something that Aislin didn’t even want to know.
Pokemon and human watched each other almost owlishly as the white Sneasel walked gingerly past and then crouched next to an armchair some feet away. Aislin had only been able to touch the creature’s fur once so far, and that was at the Pokemon Center after she had been hypnotized to allow the nurse to examine her. It was then that she found out that the Sneasel was female, named her ‘Hyacinth’, and oh yeah, was told that she was deaf. Yep, apparently she couldn’t hear a damn thing. Aislin took that as total bullshit, though, since the Sneasel flicked an ear and gave a second’s glance every time she whistled. She would even come out from wherever she was in the apartment when Aislin played a freakishly high note from a music synthesizer on her computer.
Deaf? Yeah, total B.S.
Hyacinth was still seated next to the chair, but was looking over at the window now and Aislin finally allowed herself to look away. She looked down at her side at the box of little cracker snacks she had been eating and took a fallen one from the floor. Lightly puckering her lips, she turned her attention back to Hyacinth and gave whistle. It was high, but not too loud, and arched from low to high. The cracker was then held out as some sort of offering, and Hyacinth looked at it with icy blue eyes. Aislin gave another small whistle and Hyacinth’s eyes flickered onto her, but soon returned to the cracker.
Aislin whistled probably three more times before the abnormally colored Sneasel crept carefully from the shadow of the chair and snatched the morsel almost greedily from the woman’s hand. Aislin felt the coolness of the golden claws on her skin for only a second before the creature of white and pink darted off back to the chair to glare and stare once more… this time munching.
It was a start..
