Trial battle and rematch!It's Ryou versus Aeon again! And, this is also the first (trial) battle in the fire field! WHO WILL TRIUMPH?! >D

Battleground Selection!
The screen towering above the stadiums' bleachers began to rotate clockwise to determine what field the pokemon would fight on. Anticipation began to build as the dial began to slow down...
Finally, it came to a complete stop.
The field of choice was....THE FIRE FIELD!
A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are very hot to touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat.

Battle....START!
The official for the matched stepped up to the plate, his blue-black uniform visual under the brilliant florescent lights of the stadium. Clutching a flag in each hand, the young man glanced left and right before making the announcement to start. The deep voice echoed through the headset microphone and rang out from the stadium speakers.
"This is an official stadium match! Each trainer may use only one pokemon each! There is no time limit! Are both trainers ready?"
At the confirming nods from both pokemon and trainer, he flicked both flags into the air; once both flags moved south, the battle could officially begin.

Kazuki stepped into his area on the west end of the arena, and gazed down into the boiling lava below. There was a net, yes, but they expected pokemon to battle over that? What if the net broke? What if it fell? What if--
"BRE." Ryou said through a mouthful of fabric as he tugged on Kazuki's pantleg, glaring up at the trainer. Zuki jumped in surprise and nearly toppled over before regaining his composure and scratching Ryou behind the ears.
"Sorry, Ryou, got lost in thought for a minute there. Just you and Aeon today, okay? And you be careful out there," he warned before turning towards the opposite end of the field. "Are you ready, Jen?"
The Umbreon rolled his sightless eyes before allowing them to glow dark blue for several moments as he used Kazuki's vision to get the layout for the field. Satisfied, he dropped the blue-tinted vision and leapt onto the nearest platform, flicking his ears backwards at finding its heat rather irritating. He shouldn't stand here for too long...

"Rai......." Clinging to Jen's leg, the Raichu stared down at the boiling lava with a fearful expression on his face. He hated fire, lava, anything smokey! Tugging on his trainer's capris, he gave her a faint whine of uncertainty.
"C'mon Aeon, get out there and show 'em you can do it!" Grabbing the Raichu, she pulled him off and pushed the pokemon towards the battlefield where Ryou was standing on the otherside.
Grumbling, Aeon hopped onto the nearest platform...only to do a quickstep in place to keep from burning his paws. Unfortunately, he wasn't allowed to move from his spot until the battle started.....curse that stupid rule!
Laughing at the amusing sight, Jen waved to her opponent across the field. "We're ready over here, Zuzu! Let's do this quickly, I think our pokemon want out of here as much as we do!"

"Okay!" Kazuki called back, then looked towards Ryou, who looked thoroughly peeved at the hot rock. "Let's start this off with shadow ball!"
"Breon!" Ryou snapped as his eyes and all his rings began to glow dark blue, several pinpoint dots of dark energy materializing out of thin air. They each began to spin around in circles as the dark-type leapt onto a higher platform, quickly swelling in size until each was the size of a baseball or larger, and he sent each shooting off in a different direction, but all headed towards Aeon.

"AEON! Quit dancing and look sharp! HURRY!"
Too late, just as Aeon looked back at his trainer with question in his eye, he was hit hard by the multiple shadow balls. Thankfully it wasn't powerful enough to knock him towards the net below.
Spinning around to glare at his opponent, Aeon jumped and began to bound from pillar to pillar top as a white aura gathered around his body; he speed was steadily increasing with each jump.
"Aeon! Quick Attack!"
With a final jump, the Raichu launched himself at the dark-type pokemon.

Ryou's eyes glowed again as he used Aeon this time to see where he should jump to. Finding no good platform he could jump to in time, he pinned his ears backwards against his skull and planted his claws into the stone beneath him.
Kazuki seemed to understand the Umbreon's plight and his thoughts raced as he tried to decide what to tell his pokemon. "Use dark pulse!"
"Umbreon!" Ryou snarled as all the rings on his body began glowing blue to match his eyes, and after a moment or two a dark aura surrounded his whole body. The impact forced Ryou backwards a foot or two, but at the moment he felt the Raichu slam into him, he released the attack, hoping Aeon would be hard put to avoid it.

As soon as he made contact with Ryou, Aeon was automaticly thrown backwards by the attack. Due to the lack of pillar behind him, the Raichu tumbled down and hit the net below.
Boucing a few times, the net came to a stop and Aeon laided there for a few seconds before getting to his feet and jumping. After a few bounds, he launched himself upwards and, flipping backwards, landed on a platform a few feet away.
"Aeon! Try Giga Impact!"
Growling as his fists began to glow a golden color, Aeon raised both above his head and brought them down to crush the pillar he was standing on. As it did, the force of the impact sent a shockwave in all directions across the field.

Aeon's quick attack had forced the air out of Ryou's lungs, causing him to stop for a few moments too long. His trainer's voice brought him back to reality, however. "Ryou, look out!" The Umbreon's head snapped up and his ears perked forward and, sensing the powerful shockwaves headed straight for him, turned and jumped backwards towards the platform he had first stood on. The attack hit him anyway, though not quite as hard, and he landed sprawled on the rock pillar. His ears flew backwards and he growled, quickly pulling himself up. He didn't need to wait for Kazuki to shout another command, he knew exactly which one the trainer would ask for.
His eyes and rings glowed again, as several small pinpoints of dark energy glowed the same dark blue in front of him. They grew rapidly to the size of baseballs while they spun around, and as Ryou jumped up onto the next highest pillar, he loosed them all in different directions, but all headed towards the same target.

Aeon was thrown once more by a second Shadow Ball technique; slipping off the egde, he dug his claws into the heated rock to keep from falling into the net below.
Wincing at the burning sensation beneath his paws, Aeon pushed himself away and leap towards a lower pillar behind him. Landing and sliding a bit with a spray of pebbles, an electrical discharge began to build up around his body as sparks flew from his cheeks.
With a cry of rage, he let loose the lightning into the sky only to have it rain down upon the field.

A small bolt of electricity hit Ryou squarely in the back, eliciting a hiss of pain from the dark-type. He pinned his ears back and jumped onto another platform, his sightless eyes glowing dark blue. Suddenly he jumped into the air, seemingly disappearing amongst the falling bolts of lightning.
"Faint attack!"
In an instant the Umbreon appeared above Aeon, teeth bared and claws outstretched, ready to release his attack on the Raichu beneath him.

The hit felt like a Mega Punch to the face; Aeon could've sworn that he had felt his jaw dislocate when the Umbreon's attack connected.
Hitting the stone pillar with a spray of dust, dirt, and pebbles, Aeon laid there for a second before sitting up and rubbing the growing shiner on his face. That really hurt......That pokemon really did it now!
Like he had done many times before, Aeon rage led him to launch an attack with his trainer's command. Fists glowing a brilliant blue/green, the electric pokemon jumped into the air and shot downwards; fists connecting with the pillar sent it crumbling to a pile of rocks while a shockwave lashed out in all directions.

"Careful, Ryou!" Kazuki called out to his blind pokemon. He could see what Ryou could not, and he could see that Aeon was pissed after the dark-type's attack. He tapped his finger on his chin as thoughts rapidly whizzed through his mind, and froze momentarily. A grin lighted his face as he looked towards Ryou, pointing at a random spot on the stadium. "Ryou, dodge it quickly and give Aeon a little surprise!"
The dark-type jumped away after his hit landed, his paws touching down on a lower platform. His ears flicked as he heard his trainer's voice, sensing the electric mouse's attack heading towards him quickly. A surprise, eh? A toothy, malicious little grin graced his muzzle as he shot into the air again, seemingly disappearing into thin air.
Several tense moments ticked by as Kazuki waited, his eyes flitting all over the field to try and see where his pokemon had went off to. Suddenly, a huge amber-colored beam lit the upper left corner of the stadium as Ryou revealed his position on the highest pillar. "BREON!" He called as he released his hyper beam attack, sending it hurtling at blinding speeds towards his opponent.

"AEON! Get your head back into the game! DOn't let anger get the best of you.....AGAIN!"
Jen scolded her pokemon as the attack caused him to land directly on the net far below them. He had to move quickly or the fumes of sulfer would get the electric-type before long.
Aeon, sniffing and gagging on the sulfer, swiftly bounced upwards and landed on the lowest platform. He grunted and shook himself, trying to rid his body of that horrific smell. Now he was really mad!
"AEON! Mirror his attack! Use your own Hyper beam!"
Grabbing the platform, Aeon swiftly glanced around before spying Ryou on the highest platform; in one quick movement, he released the bright amber beam at the shadowy figure.
