Trotting quickly down the muddy path, his wings tucked close to his body as he scurried toward home, Hajime grumbled to himself about his stupidity today. He'd known the sky was cloudy and that he shouldn't go out but...he hadn't expected the dang thing to start pouring so soon!
Snorting and grimacing a bit in displeasure, he splashed into a puddle of mud and successfully splattered his legs and belly with the thick goopy substance. Yip-pee. Argh, why hadn't he listened to that voice earlier?
Oh, yeah. It was the one that always had the boring ways to do things.

I was certainly not a decent day out to be doing anything, agreed Kanojo as she kept close to a tree, her delicate paws sitting on it's rising roots compared to the muddy ground. Her tail continuously flicked back and forth, trying to keep it from harm's way. She was clean, and egtting dirty this day was not on her agenda. Then again, when was it ever? Her pink eyes scrutinized the ground around her, a frow tugging at her lips.
She didn't want to go back into her tree and sleep. She had done that most of the day, and it was time to get out. But this wasn't the kind of weather one wanted to travel in. Kanojo had thought about taking a fly, but the air heavy with water would certainly weigh her down.
"Stupid weather," she clicked her tongue with distaste, pouting.

Another splash into a puddle, his fur completely soaked and Hajime resolved to never stray from his home if there was even a slight chance of rain. He'd take forever to dry out now! He wouldn't be able to fly for at least two days and now how was he supposed to get the super-juicy fruit that only lay at the tops of the trees?
A sigh and a shiver ran down his spine as the water soaked to his skin. Yup. Definitely going to regret this. He'd have a cold by morning if he didn't find warmth soon. He sneezed abruptly and let out a long sigh. Scratch that, he already had a cold.
"Argh! When will this end?" He growled, speeding down the path, annoyance and desperation spurring him on.

Somebody down th path was splashing about. Her lips pursed with annoyance, her feathers ruffling with diapproval. She daintily walked down the risen roots of the large tree, her pink paws careful to keep to the sturdy plant compared to the muddy ground. It would not be a good day if she fell in! No no! She peered out down the path, flicking her tail side to side.
Someone was fooling around... A child perhaps? Whoever it was, they were walking quite fast down the path... Right down the path she was standing by! "Oh no..." She mewed quietly, thinking of the events that would occur. She'd have to stop this fool before he splashed mud on her! Kanojo cleared her voice loudly, her ears tenativeley perking to look approachable, though they constantly swiveled back as if to sheild themselves from the approaching danger.
"Ahem! Ahem!" She jumped up and down abit, not wanting to be ignored. For an ignored Kanojo led to an unhappy Kanojo, and an unhappy Kanojo was... Not a happy one at all!

He didn't see the other creature at first, he was too intent on getting home to really look around for any danger or anyone else caught out on the path. The glaring pink, however, with it's habit of being so very apparent in every situation made him pause for a moment, the rain soaking him even more.
"What do you want?" He asked, ers plastered to his head in displeasure. He could only assume this one was referring to him, though her own expression was just as displeased as his could assuredly be called. He wasn't in the mood for what most others called "politeness" he wanted to be safe and warm in his little cave-home, not chatting about nonsense in the cold pouring rain.
His paws and belly were covered in mud, his wings so thoroughly ridded with water he wouldn't be able to fly for days, which would hinder hs eating. Damned percipitation. He needed a bath too...
