It's come to my attention that some book is being made into a Movie, called The Golden Compass? Yeah, that. It's about a little girl, on a journey... TO KILL GOD. o_o Well, that in itself is attacking Christianity and is offending to the Christian movie public. Okay, but that's not the problem, as us Christians wouldn't dare see a movie like that. It's about the CHILDREN (ages 9-12 whatever other ages) who go to see it and don't know, and think it's come 'cool' new fantasy movie.

So, this main character girl journeys into an alternate universe, right? And in this alternate universe, everyone has a spiritual alter ego, or demon, in animal form. Hey look, what does this plant into children's minds? That and, the story promotes opposition of the Church and makes it seem 'evil'. It also has a Character who represents the serpant in the Bible, saying he's good and God is evil. WTFUDGE IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?! Everything!! It comes out this December, and lots of kids that go to see this will have their minds poisoned that God is this big bad old person and the Church is bad, and that we should 'kill' God out of our lives. Promoting Atheism basically? Is that how you spell it? Yeah.

Basically, this Movie is totally Anti-Christian and a few other religions who believe in and love God. It's teaching children to shove God of their lives, to hate the Church, and blah blah blah all that bad junk. From what I've heard as well, it involves Lolicon too (if you do not know what Lolicon is look it up on Wikipedia, I'm not explaining that =_=) and a gay angel kills God in the end. =/ Wh00wh00 this also promotes that stupid stereotype that God hates gay people, so gay people kill God. EWW. God doesn't hate gay people, and this movie is totally gonna trap alot of children inside it's dark pit of deceiption.

I'd like to know, what are your opinions on this? What can we DO to prevent it? Lots of Christian campaigns and otehrs have been fighting against it, but to no avail so far. What do you think about The Golden Compass? Have you read the book? I haven't, but it's really been bugging me that some Pro-Atheist weirdo had this grand idea to write a book about killing God, then make it a movie. See, The Chronicles of Narnia was Pro-Christian, but not DIRECTLY it was all represented like Aslan was the King who would rise again and the children were us on a journey you know, the whole Christian thing. But it was a POSITIVE movie, not direct like the upcoming Golden Compass that promotes negative themes of killing, lolicon, God hates gay people, and all those other lies. Really, what's up?

Yeah, it LOOKS like a normal fantasy film, but it was written by an Aethiest (person who doesn't believe in God) who even said himself SPECIFICALLY that he wants to 'teach' children to think for themselves and pull away from Church authority and push God outta their lives. o_o Of course this wouldn't be on the commercial for the film, then no one would see it, but if they think it's just 'fantasy' lots of people might...

Yeah, but that's about what will probably happen in the end days, what it might be like; the Author is Christian I believe... Anyhow, that's a totally different story, so yeah. :3

As for the Petition, I think they are... I'm not sure really, but they probably will. >< It was just all over the Christian media and what not, got to my Church and so I heard about it and thus, I thought I should see what others think on the matter. I wish there was somthing more we could do, but I'm not sure what exactly... I just don't want little kids thinking God is bad and that the Church and Christians are out to get them, it could poison a whole generation of children who see that. D; Of course, we know better, but little kids don't, and their minds are easily influenced at a young age, so... I dunno, it just really bothers me as well.

It really is frustrating to here these things about the book. Cause, honestly, I read these kinds of books. But I don't take anything that is in it to heart. But I am 18 and I know better. I almost read this book back when I was in 8th grade. But...well, IDK. I kinda don't want to see it now. But the christian in me says to go see it. Cause if I do, I can take what is in the bible and prove that the movie is bouggus. i know that the pastors at my church and even the curches around the city all went to see the Da Vinchi Code so that they could tell everyone what was wrong in the movie and why.
