I don't see how actual artists can be real rap...Cause before they made real rap,they'd have to know real rap.

Rap is where you say rhyming words with a beat or music, I classify rhyming poetry as rap too. 50 cent, Cyne, Immortal Technique, Tupac ect.. In my opinion.

Femmunition Rap is where you say rhyming words with a beat or music, I classify rhyming poetry as rap too. 50 cent, Cyne, Immortal Technique, Tupac ect.. In my opinion. :S i dont know Femmy, if you're talkin poetic like, take 50cent off that list. Real Rap is basically gangsta music... N.W.A, B.I.G, Tupac, Big L, etc. Basically anything you can classify as Gangsta Rap is Real Rap. Lil John, Soulja Boy and others like them are part of another sub-genre.

well real rap would be artists such as lupe fiasco, common, jay-z, nas, kanye, rakim, tupac, big l, big pun, run-dmc, kool moe dee, mc lyte, saigon, B.I.G, Big daddy kane, nwa,. Not this lil' wayne hurricane chris, soulja boy bullshit we hear now-a-days

I think the disticntion isn't what real rap is, but the distinction between rap, hiphop, and all the inbetweens. I dont think there is one real rap. There is just a bunch of different sub-sections.

There is just a bunch of different sub-sections. i agree w/ u on the number of sub-genres of rap... but i believe Gangsta Rap is real rap. Most of these fags (not all of you... basically just one of you, he knows his name) don't know wtf Rap is and is naming countless rejects and people that don't belong to the genre at all... and has other's following suit to believe him. WTF is with you people naming Kanye, Lupe and ******** Common?! They are ******** hip hop/r&b bullshit... they are not Rap whatsoever. ⌐_⌐ @Phoenix: Cube is/was apart of NWA... so saying NWA basically automatically lists him. Seeing as he's what made the group
