Well I was looking at bass cabs today, and I chanced across one such cab for $280 USD, by Kustom, I've hurd of a few of their guitar cabs, they seem prity good, but I didn't know they made a 4x10 bass cab. The Deep End 4x10 to be exact. I'm not quite sure about this, I think it may be a good invetsment, but I could find no reviews about it, and there was nothing on their offical site for it either. Tell me is this a good thing to find, or is there some thing I'm missing.

I've heard and seen good things from Kustom PA systems but I've never seen Kustom amps.

a word to the wise: dont buy kustom

buy either gallien-krueger, hartke, or behringer. they make a good range of cabs. i had a kustom groove bass 215h and i wanted to upgrade my rig but NO ONE WANTED TO BUY MY BASS CAB BECAUSE ITS A POS. dont be fooled by their artist roster or cheap prices. kustom is NOT the way to go.

i have experience with gallien kruger personally. i had a 410 cab and i loved it. my friend jake has a behringer 810 and it sounds fantastic for how cheap it was and hartke makes good relyable cabs that they rip off of eden cabs(which are top notch) another company that i strongly advise you to look into is avatar. go to avatarspeakers.com all of their cabs are absolutly phenomanal!

You're actually recommending someone buy a Behringer? You can if you want, but it's like playing Russian roulette, you either end up with a very decent amp/cab, or a complete POS. Their QC is non-existant, and their business practices are so bad it's almost legendary. And how does Hartke rip off Eden? Good call on the Avatar and GK though, my new setup come tax return time is gonna be 2 Avatar Neo 4x10's and either a GK 1001RB II or a Genz-Benz GBE-600. Just remember, normally, with some exceptions (like Avatar), you get what you pay for, Kustom and Behringer may seem great in the beginning, but you're going to outgrow it.

Yeah, behringer makes decent cabs for their price because they rip off designs from other companys(their basscabs are rip offs of ashdown cabs)and like you said, its like playing russian roulette. the way hartke rips off eden is clear in the hartke vx215 cabinet. compare it to the eden d215xlt. ohh, thats tough. a gk 1001rb or the genz-benz gbe-600. two very good heads. my first amp was a gk and im always going to love them for their quality even in their backline amps. if you want more of a dirty sound, go with the gk, but if you want more of a clear sound with a more linear response, go with the genz-benz

I don't think it's clear at all, the Eden 2x15 is front ported and the speaker position is reversed, or is it just because the both have a 2x15 in general? A lot of have companies have 2x15 cabs, Mesa, Sunn, Ampeg, Ashdown, etc... And I'm also not too clear about how Behringer cabs rip off Ashdown...I know what they both sound like, it most likely will come down to what I can get for cheaper, I've seen them both go for about $350, just gotta see which one I spot first.

okay dude im not a ******** noob. i know my bass gear. and im aware that all those companys make 215's along with alot of other ones that your not aware of like Traynor(old), Peavey(old and new), Fender(old and new), and Low Down Sound. And im also aware that the hartke is front ported, instead of the top and bottem vents on the eden. but thats not the point. the point is, that hartke ripped off the dimensions, and the woofer and tweeter placement of the eden cab. AND IF YOU DONT THINK BEHRINGER RIPS OFF ASHDOWNS DESIGNS THEN WHY DONT YOU ******** COMPARE THE DESIGN OF THEIR AMP HEADS TO EACH OTHER. BEHRINGER IS LEGENDARY FOR RIPPING OFF OTHER PEOPLES DESIGN AND SELLING IT TO PEOPLE FOR CHEAPER. GODDAM! GET SOME ******** BRAINS NOOB!

Ahahaha, I was hoping you were insecure enough that a little questioning would throw you into a tantrum. Man, you're right, I've never heard of Peavey OR Fender, you're into some obscure s**t right there. And Traynor is mediocre at best, at least their new stuff, and Low Down Sound, that's a boutique builder, that's like comparing SWR to Thunderfunk or Bergantino. And obviously you aren't aware, the Eden is front ported, that's what the vents are... The Ashdown MAG series and the Behringer BX heads are relatively similar, but you said cabs, their cabs don't look the least bit similar to me, maybe you should have pointed that out before going APESHIT WITH YOUR AWESOME CAPS, I GUESS THEY WERE RIGHT, CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL TO AWESOME. In the world of amps and even guitars, you only have so much room to be creative before you're running into someone else's designs, it's just the degree to which you copy that'll get you in trouble. That being said, does that make all other bass manufacturer's a rip off of Fender because he created the first electric bass and they followed suit? I don't think so. If you're going to throw around unfounded conclusions and start playing the "rip-off" game, I'd learn to take criticism and questioning a little better.

just reading along here

who actually cares if its a rip off or not

obviously in most cases you get what you pay for

so if they rip off the design and sell it cheaper, and you buy it... in alot of cases your gonna lose

specially if its behringer.

but if you have a good sound that your happy with and a solid rig thats all that matters

and yeh, electric basses have been around for nearly 60 years

and with the electric basses you obviously need to make them louder

and people found out what works

so every stuck to it

made there own variations

from what they know works

and so alot of things have been done

and anyone could find simarlarities on any bass bass gear, to another
