User Image Large orange paws danced across the ground, leaping and twirling, not missing one step. Banda liked the simplicity of an afternoon run, the wind flowing through his fur with intensity only the gods would know. He would stumble once or twice, only to find he had happened upon a new rhythm to run to. His eyes beamed with pleasure, nothing could stop him.

...Except a tree. It came out of nowhere, like it had just sprout up as Banda took a step forward. His head laced with dizziness and his paws daring to give out beneath him, Banda dropped to the ground like a stone. No, this must mean something. He must have done something wrong to anger Mother Nature. He released a calming breath and closed his eyes, picking up the scattered pieces of what he though was going to be a pleasant run. "No...That’s not right at all." he mumbled dumbfound. Suddenly, wild colors caught his attention, a sea of pink, purple, and blues spread out around him. Flowers, or as Banda called them, flows for the way the swayed in the wind. There were so many, a whole patch of them circling the lion. For a moment, Banda crash just left him dazed. Cursing under his breath at the hurtful tree, but the beautiful flowers and cooling breeze left him with a calming feeling.

Not so very far away, in a very silimar tree to the one that the pale male had managed to beat his head in to lay a pale yellow lioness. She had caught the males scent upont he breeze and had watched him run, so graceful, so handsome, she couldn't help but perk up and watch. However when the dreaded tree attacked, she giggled. It felt to her, like something she would do, her sisters often called her a little clutz. Scaleing down the darge roughly barked tree she lythly landed on the ground with a silent thud.

"It seems that tree got you." She purrs weaving her way over to him her body moving in a slinking manner, she weaved like a weasel only so much more elegantly for she held her head high her lilac eyes capturing the sun and shimmering.

"Are you okay there big boy? You didnt bang your head too hard did you?" She puurrs her voice lowering to a gentle whisper as she lowered herself in to the flowers. Her fur mingled so well with the soft yellows of the flower bed, akin to a daffodil in her colours, her soft purple eyes two pollen like centers.

Banda's paw tingled for what seemed like ages. Overcome with a sudden rush of delight that seemed to melt his whole body. Not to say he was so easily swayed by some random lioness that was good on her feet, but he couldn’t help but gawk at her beauty. Besides, he had always liked the color yellow. A grin traced his muzzled and he nodded, feeling foolish and dim witted. ”Tree’s can do that, you know. They are just there suddenly. But I guess I’m fine, other than squishing a few flowers.” He smiled sheepishly, scrabbling to his paws before it looked like the measly tree had hurt him. ”And you are miss?” His head cocked to the side and his large unmoved eyes blinked. What luck! Banda had a field of flowers and a beautiful lioness to talk to in the field of flowers.

”You know, they say that every time a flower grows, it means someone beautiful is born.” Banda pawed at a striking blue flower brushing against his leg, surprisingly, his giant paw merely ruffled the flower a bit. Banda had learned from a young age that when he grew up, he had to be gentle or everything would fall apart. He grinned, setting his paw back down on the lush grass.

The soft yellow lioness gracefully got to her foot paws, her gentle purple eyes smiling. "I'm glad you're not hurt.." She trailed for a moment licking her pale lips before she spoke again "Yes, trees are a nuicence sometimes, they just, pop up out of no where and block your view." She giggled and padded around him her dainty paws making very little sound as she moved her soft downy fur giving off a slight scent of lavander. Gurami always slept upon lavander, she felt it gave her fur a most wonderful scent. Unfortunately, a rock caught her paw and she stumbled slightly, luckily, she was behind him and she hoped he hadn't chaught her missed step, after all ahe was supposed to be a skilled lady unphased by mere hidden rocks. She padded on until she faced him once again.

"It seems you're alright, thats good." She whispers batting her pale eye lashes in a coy sort of manner. "My names Gurami Mr. Rogue." She puurrs sitting down before him once again, lifting a delecate paw to groom her maw washing away any dirt, not that there was any, she simply did this to act aloof, men liked that, when you acted aloof. Or so she told herself. She'd never really had a full on conversation with a male alone, usually she was surrounded by her sisters. It was a mere miracle that she was alone today infact.

"And your name sir? Or should I call you silky tongued?" She smiles looking at the beautiful flower which he groomed so carefully.

The wind was slowly picking up, Banda’s orange mane shifting and swaying lightly in the breeze. He had somewhat of an awkward grin covering his face, but who wouldn’t when a beau like this was toying with him. ”Oh no! Trees aren’t nuisances! They give us air, and life. Usually they like me a lot more than this.” Out of the corner of his eye Banda watch the female circle him, her stumble broad as daylight. He was more than tempted to swoop in and help this Gurami after the rock “attacked”, but it was clear she wanted to breeze past the incident as though it hadn’t happened.

”Gurami is a beautiful name, for a beautiful lioness. God, he was cheesy. He lifted another bulky paw, holding it up towards his nose. His eyes beamed with pleasure. ”I’m Banda, and I guess the gods gifted me with light paws.” He chuckled, his eyes suddenly returning to hers. ”Your eyes look like rivers, you know.”

The pale yellow lioness puurred gently lifting her head to look at him her soft dusty lilac eyes contemplating. "Indeed, nature after all gives us life, it provides the grass and ultimately the meat does it not?" She whispers flicking her head a little to toss her fringe from her pale twinkling eyes. He was such a charmer! She couldn't help but melt, without her sisters with her she didn't have any back up, usually her eldest sister would be at the forefront flirting and making the males ignore her, but now she was alone she could do all the flirting! And she was stuck...

She giggled as he spoke his name, his wondeful comments and compliments rolled over his lips. "Banda, "She coos batting her lashes at him once more and fixing him with what she supposed must be an alureing gaze, "You really think so?" She whispers. Catching herself stareing at the large male, for far too long, she turns her head slightly to gaze at the flowers. She realised, quietly, that she was fawning, her sisters never fawned! Ugh she was just useless at this flirting biz.

Peering through her blond bangs her soft purple eyes shimmered softly. "Do you always speak so elequantly to the ladies Banda? or is there a reason for your silky tones?" She cooss tilting her head in an almost sweetly childish manner, curiosity glowing in those pale orbs.

Banda gazed uneasily at the ground; almost afraid he would look rather stalker-ish if he gazed into those milky purple eyes. He must look like such an idiot, so flustered and panicky when she probably flirted with every guy, but he almost felt ashamed for thinking that. All he knew was her name and that she was very lovely anyways. So why should he judge her unfairly? Besides, he liked her company more than anything. After his siblings split apart it was just him and nature, now it was him, nature, and Gurami. ”I do…they sort of flow back and forth, with tiny dots of silver jumping out like fish.” He leaned forward, his nose practically touching hers as he squinted his eyes to look into her purple eyes. All in one swift motion Banda scooted back, his eyes still fixed on her but a frown slowly coming into view.

”I must look like a maniac! Sorry Gurami…Didn’t mean to offend or freak you out.” his eyes melted to the ground, not even her question could draw them back up. ”Only the ones I like.” He chuckled, his paws growing stiff and his mind doubting his actions. He managed one quick glance at her, but his eyes retreated to the safety of the ground once more.

For a moment Gurami was quite surprised, her nose was so close to his she could have leaned forwards and kissed him, he bounced backwards so quickly though she thought maybe she smelled funny, or something. She tilted her head feining shyness and sniffed, nope, still smellewd of lavander.

Her head lifted when he spoke and she smiled. "Theres nothing to appologise for." She whispers, standing and padding towards him her slender feame seductive as ever. "You couldn't freak me out Banda, you're probably the first normal male I'v ever spoken to, it's, nice." She puurrs touching his cheek with her nose. "Thankyou." Pulling back slowly she smiled at the big pale coloured male. "It's nice to be liked."

Banda nodded slowly, from his stiff movements once would have sworn his neck was injured. He peeked up, shoving a friendly grin over his face.

”It is, but it’s even nicer to like someone.”

He felt a slight flow of fresh awkwardness come with the reply, and tried to shake off the feeling. He lifted a paw and suavely nudged her shoulder, a charming grin overcoming him. Banda knew he must have looked like an idiot, putting one some flirtatious face like that. Another wave of awkwardness hit him and he gradually returned his paw to the ground. Little by little, he loosened his body and slowly became his happy, friendly self again.

”So, do you always spend your days wandering around and chatting with random males?”

He chortled a thin laugh and nudged her with his paw again, this time much more natural and playful.

"Oh no!" She shook her head vigerously, though she felt very awquard from her extra swift responce. "It's..Well you see I have two older sisters and, I'm a lower rank than them so usually they do all the flirting.." She trailed off, her gaze turning to the ground. "I don't usually get to see the boys much." She smiled weakly her pale eyes shimmering softly. "It's nice to have a boy to myself for a change."

Her cheeks flushed red then. "I mean..i didn't mean that I meant..ohh.." She floundered looking at Banda with a rather cheesy grin, she'd really put her foot in it, she didn't mean it in that way. It really was very strange for her to be alone with a male, without her sisters there taking the lime light.

"I guess the guys always notice my sisters before me, they are alot brighter coloured than me." She whispers looking up shyly through her bangs. "Yes, you're right, it is nice to like someone." A soft puurr echoes over her lips then her lilac eyes capturing his with a smile.

He grinned steadily, finding her blushes and fumbles cute. Ever since he and his siblings split up, he hadn’t seen much of the ladies either. Always to busy with focusing on nature to really be interested in being a father, not to say he didn’t want to be one someday. But he didn’t quite understand how people could rush into things like that. It was, after all, total commitment.
”I take it you and your sisters are close?” He nodded thoughtfully, a warm smile folding over his face.
”I also take it…you have a mate”

His merry face suddenly turned to stern seriousness, as he shook his head vigorously.
”Not that I would know! Your just so stunning and sweet I just assumed…”

Banda cursed himself for being so forward about the question. Stalker-ish or not, he just hoped she wouldn’t run off in shock. He slumped down slowly, laying his head onto his paws. Sorry…”

"Oh yes, my mother always said we were thick as theives." She fluchsed slightly. "It's hard being the youngest." She whispers looking at hyer paws shyly, when he asked about a mate though she was interrupted by his stumbling performance before she could say no.

Giggling softly, she realised faintly that perhaps she had found a spirit very like herself, someone too shy, too young, or simply too lost to ever really be noticed. Laying down before him she nudged his cheek with her nose hopeing to pull his head from his paws. "No, I don't have a mate Banda, you see in my pride if you arn't brightly coloured, you kind of go, unnoticed." She moved her own paws then landing them both on top of his her dainty paws resting upon his larger ones.

"Like I said, it's very strange to talk to a normal male, my pride is very differnt from most others..." She trails off a breif smile on her pale yellow lips. "I'd like very much to have a real male around, one from out in the world, a mate, it's just very hard to be noticed when you don't have a bright pelt."

Banda nodded, a thin grin appearing and disappearing as soon as it had arrived.
"You have never met my siblings. Four are just too many, especially when your the quietest of the bunch."

Something in him just itched to jump to his paw and try to explain why he was making so many mistakes around her, but as her nose nudged his cheek he suddenly felt light as air. He brought his eyes to full attention, looking into her lilac pools. Nothing seemed to faze him at the moment, even the warm feeling of her paws touching his.

"Bright..." Banda turned to glance back at his white pelt and shook his head in dismay. Bright just wasn't him. He had the mane, the paws and the face, but his body was just and unpainted canvas. He sighed, bringing his eyes to meet hers. They were so deep, so full of humble beauty Banda just seemed to stare. Finally, he pressed his face closer to hers and somewhat mumbled,

"Trust me, you don't need a bright pelt to have someone fall head over heels for you." Timidly, he nudged her cheek.

The soft yellow lioness smiled gently at him, her cool lilac pools looking him over. She didn't care that he wasn't brightly coloured,if anything the fact that he wasn't a part of her pride, a part of the rituals which held her to the pride, made him all the more attractive in ehr eyes.

"I don't know if you want to fall for me Banda." She whispers, her pale orbs fixed upont he large male. "If..If you wish to come with me you have to know my pride, it isn't a normal pride.." She trailed quietly licking her lips. Though this meeting had been ever so breif she could certainly feel herself falling for the big male, his gentle words, his ways so different from the males of her own pride. She wanted to bring him home.

She had never felt for a male before usually so hidden behind her brighter sisters but he was so sweet and kind, so softly spoken, clumbsy, like herself. "If you will come with me Banda..I would very much like for you to come with me, join my pride be mime.." her voice whicpered all of these things her pale eyes fixed upon his, she felt, perhaps she was moving too fast but this meeting seemed like fate to her and who was she to say no to the fates? The furies after all were of mighty importance.

[[You can finish it off :3]]

He had never done this. So open, moving so fast. After only one meeting and already and invitation to come with her? Romance never went so smoothly, just some nice chit chat and BANG, you’re in love? No, that wasn’t right. But who was Banda to argue with fate? He was, after all, partly at fault for being so obviously drawn into the yellow lioness. He rose quietly to his paws, and looked down at her for a moment. The brief image of what would happen if he said no flashed through his eyes. Her sisters running after him, Gurami sobbing and laughing at the same time, Banda coming face to face with one of the attackers and realizing he had been in denial when he said no.

”Of course I’ll come. You must be as blind as looking into the sun if you can’t see I want to go.” He took a tentative step forward, swiftly glancing back at her with questioning eyes. What did she mean, ‘Not a normal pride’? What was it then, a pride of zebras? He chuckled lightly to himself, his ears perked in delight. He bent down and pulled at the stem of a yellow flower, and dropped it at Gurami’s feet.

”I take that back, your eyes look more like flowers.” Banda nodded proudly and nudged her cheek with his nose.
