The Legend of Fen and Lithrin
The Hatching of Fen
In the days of Terina, a falcon hatched on the shores of Sapphire Lake, the falcon, was small and weak, no one thought it would survive its first moon of life.the falcon had silver plumage, which was extremely rare among falcons, and falcons with silver feathers were thought to be either cursed, or blessed with extrodinary power. The falcon, small, but loyal and true, was named Fen, and though his parents were mysteriously killed and he was left to fend for himself, he managed to live. Not long after he was orphaned was he found by a pair of eagles, who took care of him as though he were their own, and so Fen learned the ways of the eagles. He grew quickly into a strong young falcon, quite unlike the helpless, pitiful bird he had been. Not long after he left the nest he heard of his true mother and father's murder, and he vowed to find their killer and avenge his parents. Not two days later, the pair of eagles, who had looked after him, who had fed him and taught him their ways, were killed, just as mysteriously as his parents had been. Misery and strife were all Fen knew for weeks, and he worked hard to develop his skills. From the midst of his misery emerged a young falcon, strong, brave, and true, he flew into a new land, and left his misery behind. This land, part of the island of Ximentaia, was called Derina, where Fen would experiance his greatest victories and losses.
The Hatching of Lithrin
On the island of Ximentaia, on the shores of Emerald Eyes Lake, another falcon hatched. This falcon had feathers of the purest white, and was named Lithrin. Over the years she became skilled in magic, later she would be the greatest mage known to falcons.
The Battle of Shadows
Fen had learned, over his years in Derina, who the killer of his parents were. The dark falcon lord, Hirath, had murdered his parents, in the hope that Fen would not survive either. Hirath had heard from the Shadewoods Oracle that he would meet his end under the talon of a silver falcon. LAter on he had heard that a silver falcon had hatched, fearing for his life, he had killed the young falcon's parents, and would have killed Fen too if Fen had not fallen out of his nest, as Fen lay limp on the ground, Hirath assumed he was dead and had flown back to Derina. Now Fen had found him, and he knew that his life may soon be over, terrified and panicked, he nevertheless faced Fen boldly. A fierce and bloody battle was fought near Emerald Eyes Lake, and in the end, Fen had dug his talons into Hirath's neck, killing Hirath instantly, the oracle's warning had come true, Hirath had indeed met his end under the talon of a silver falcon.
Lithrin's Victory
Lithrin, the white falcon mage, was the only one known to have defeated Fen. According to the ancient legend, she turned herself into a gnat, making herself nearly impossible to see and hard to attack. She had landed unnoticed, on Fen's wing, had turned back into herself, and bitten down hard on the wing, injuring it and bringing Fen down, and so Lithrin won the battle, one that would be remembered for thousands of years.
The Wedding of Fen and Lithrin
The wedding of Fen and Lithrin took place in a grove of snow and spring blossom trees, the grove was later to be known as the Sacred Grove, on that day nature itself celebrated as Fen's suffering began to cease. After the joyus wedding, Fen and Lithrin lived in the Sacred Grove, where Fen would experiance his greatest loss.
Lithrin's Passing
Many years after Fen and Lithrin were wed, Lithrin fell dangerously ill. The elder's attempts to cure her were futile and Lithrin died under the light of the full moon. Her last words, as legend has it were, "you cannot find peace in sorrow, there is a time when you must move on."
Fen's Passing
Fen was grief stricken after Lithrin's passing and could not find peace or happiness. He eventually died alone after many days of suffering. He sought out Ailina and Gilnord, but not even the gods could bring Lithrin back. Two days after his passing his body was found and brought to the Stone Circle and his soul passed silently into the afterlife.
The Creation of Kilan, Hilorn and Kirburim
Fen's spirit took with it as it left Ximentaia a message from the gods, they wanted him to create a new tribe and a new land, the tribe all good falcons would belong to when they died. Fen's spirit sought out Lithrin's and together they built Kilan, a the great land of the falcons, and Kirburim, the sacred tribe. Along with Kilan they built Hilorn, a dim forest where the souls of the evil lived, a place where they could wander and scheme evermore. At last, Fen's soul had found peace.

The Story Now
The Legend of Fen is entertaining, but falcons have lost their belief in the spirit of the great warrior, they have forgotten Fen and Lithrin, along with Kilan, Hilorn, and Kirburim, the tribes, once peaceful, have turned against each other. Frequent battles have weakened the tribes, but war goes on, some falcons pray for peace, some fight harder, and some just wait for death to claim them. Strife sweeps across the falcon tribes and ancient traditions are lost in the clash of battle.
Some falcons, however, still believe in Fen, knowing that he will protect them, they know that the only way to stop the fighting is to believe. They are the ones who have the power to end this war, if they succeed, peace will once again settle upon Ximentaia and Fen will once again be known as the great spirit, the protector of the forest. Will they succeed, will they fail? Or will the four tribes be lost forever as the war claims them?

Places
Ximentaia-an immense island where no humans are present and animals thrive. The weather is warm in the summer and cool in the winter, it never gets too hot or too cold. Animals and plants live well and long on this island, providing food for the many creatures who call Ximentaia home.
Thorn Wood Forest-a dense oak forest with many brambles and much undergrowth. It is a good habitat for small animals and deer, which hide and live among the many bushes and brambles scattered densely throughout the forest. Wolves live here too, as well as bears, who feed upon the animals and fruit in the forest.
Evermore Forest-a forest of evergreen trees. It is dim and gloomy here, though some light passes through the thick overlapping branches of the evergreen trees. Moose, deer, and many species of mice live in the gloom of the forest, as well as wildcats.
Frostbite Cave-a deep, though not dark cave with stalactites and stalagmites. The inside is covered in a snowy white substance which gives it the name Frostbite cave.
Frostbitten Forest-the forest that surrounds Frostbite cave.
Frozen Dew Mountains-a terrifying mountain range, home to a variety of animals, which encompass the entire island.
Sapphire Lake-a relatively small lake in the middle of the Thorn Wood Forest, said to be the birthplace of Fen, the legendary falcon warrior.
Emerald Eyes Lake-a clear lake with two small, grassy islands in the middle, located in the Evermore Forest. Said to be where Fen had triumphed over Hirath, the dark falcon lord and the birthplace of Lithrin, the legendary white falcon mage, who was the first and last to defeat Fen.
Cloud Circle-a clearing in the Frostbitten Forest which is often shrouded in a shimmering silver mist. A shallow spring where the rare marbled lilies and ice roses grow. The home of the falcon goddess Ailina, who flies across the sky, bringing night with her.
Shadewood Glen-another clearing in the Frostbitten forest shrouded by a light shadowy mist, a glassy black pool and the rare shadow blossom trees grow here. Home of the falcon god, Gilnord, who soars across the skies, chasing the night away.
Stone Circle-the circle where the elders and leaders from each tribe gather every full moon. No one knows what happens there except the elders and leaders, and they are forbidden to talk about it. Some say that they praise Fen and Lithrin, as well as the children of Fen and Lithrin. Others say they simply discuss tribe problems and such. Falcons who have died are taken here to be led into Skeirin, the falcon’s afterlife, where they become a member of the Kirburim, the sacred tribe.
Sacred Grove-a grove of snow and spring blossom trees where it is believed that Lithrin and Fen lived before they departed for Skeirin and, by request of the falcon gods, created Kilan, where the Kirburim live.

Bio: Wind was hatched pure Nightwater Tribe. She had always dreamed of joining the ranks of the warriors who risked their lives in battle, defending their tribe. She had also always loved the sky, showing great fascination in stars, clouds, the moon, and the sun. She vows that one day, after her passing, after she has joined Fen's tribe that she would one day visit the Moon Forest. Wind's parents were both killed in a raid by the Firedawn Tribe, who were defeated, but Wind lost her parents during the intense battle between the two tribes. She is friendly with the Icethorn Tribe but hopes that this will not be noticed by the rest of her tribe, as then she would be considered a traitor.
Personality: Wind is proud and cold. At times she is kind, at other times she is downright unpleasant to be around, as she radiates an icy kind of aura at times. Although she isn't too fond of battle, she will fight to defend what she loves and holds sacred.

Healers are extremely important to the tribe as they have the greatest knowledge of herbs and cures. They are respected by the entire tribe.
Warriors are the ones who risk their lives in battle, fighting for their tribe. They sometimes help with hunting.
Guardians note any odd disturbance and report it to the leader, if a disturbance is noted during the night, they raise a warning.
Chicks are falcons not quite ready to be given a set role in the tribe.
Elders are falcons who used to be warriors or guardians or even leaders but who have retired from their posts.

Wind soared swiftly over the Thorn Wood Forest, diving quickly as she spotted a flicker of movement below her. A squirrel was frolicking on a tree branch, unaware of the danger looming behind it, she clamped her claws around its neck, killing it at once. She rose into the air once more, flying in the direction of the tribe roosts.
