For a blader accustomed to having a bit beast to rely on - as a partner and as a friend - it is hard to imagine life without them. Likewise, for aspiring bladers used to blading without these mystic creatures, to suddenly be thrust into the role of bit beast-bearer is often startling, and not many can cope with the sudden rise in their abilities...
A new tournament is approaching, one where the participants will not be veterans, seasoned players. No, this time around, junior high school students - mere rookies - will be competing. The rules are simple: find the best bladers in your school, form a team with them, train with them, enter the tournament and play to win. On the plus side, most of the schools have employed the world-class blading teams as temporary coaches to help their students train; such is their competitive spirit. The catch: different teams employ different training regimens, and some may even refuse to cooperate.
Such is the case in Sento-Sasaki Junior High, Wakayanagi. Strict rules have been given: only five students may sign up from each of the eight freshman classes - forty students in total - and of the forty, only four will make it to the finals; only four will have the chance to represent the school in this new once-a-year spectacle.
Unknown to all, someone watches from the shadows, observing every new blader. Is it a friend or foe who lurks beneath that neutral smile? Only time will tell. Meanwhile, the priviledged few from the senior high schools are set to battle it out to become the first Inter-School Beyblade Champions...
To become the first of their kind.

RULES
1. As always, follow Gaian and guild TOS.
2. Roleplayers may roleplay up to three characters, any mixture of canon and original characters. The most at any time will be four, due to lack of participants. flameangel_child524 herself with roleplay any important characters as needed, but only while they have no roleplayers.
3. The fates of some characters - canon or original - may at some point be chosen for them, with or without the concerned roleplayer's consent. Should the character be chosen for a special role, a PM will at once be sent, and the roleplayer in question given a specific time period in which to reply to the PM. After said time period, flameangel_child524 will make her decision regarding the character, and this will be considered final.
4. As much as possible, no god-modding and/or auto-hitting.
5. There will be only four schools that make it to the semi-finals, and then only four students per school team. As such, the roleplayer will be asked to list three schools, in order of preference, in the original character form that is to be sent to flameangel_child524; this is to ensure that applying roleplayers will have a team.
6. Concerns will be addressed to either the thread author or to the roleplayer concerned. Kindly minimize OOC posts in the roleplay.
Note: These rules are subject to change as circumstances call for them. The decision to change them, however, lies solely with the thread author.

JOINING
Interested roleplayers who wish to use an original character will send a PM to flameangel_child524, with the name of the RP as the subject, and containing the following information:[b]Character Name:[/b]

[b]Schools of Choice:[/b] For convenience, original student characters should be aged only 15 or 16. flameangel_child524 will open applications for older characters should the need arise. Please wait for your character to appear on the list before posting anything in the thread.
Should the roleplayer wish to play a canon character, the above form still applies, only this time, the choice of age ranges from 16 to 18 years of age, and instead of a list of the chosen schools (in order of preference), an RP sample must be provided. Should the thread author find the sample inappropriate, lacking, or otherwise unsuitable for the character in question, she has every right to refuse the roleplayer's request.

Team names, as well as team trainers will also be assigned. Roleplayers may suggest a theme for the naming of the teams, as the tournament itself includes such a convention for this RP. The trainers, however, are already fixed and will be revealed as soon as the RP begins.

ORIGINAL CHARACTERSCharacter Name: Fujiwara Kei
Age: 16 years old
Physical Description: Standing at around 5'3" (160 cm), Kei is of average height with a slightly heavy build. Her deep amethyst eyes betray not one iota of her emotions, but when she chooses to, one look can either freeze or melt you, or else leave you wondering after her next move. Her purple-black hair falls to just below her shoulder blades - or slightly above them, when she wears the occassional ponytail - while her bangs, neatly parted at the middle, frame her oval face; this only serves, however, to bring out the marble whiteness of her skin. Despite her heavy-looking frame, she moves with the deadly grace of the martial artist and surprises others with her agility, speed, and often, her strength. While not very tall, she nevertheless stands out in her dark-colored outfits, which often consist of a black shirt, dark blue jeans and trainers; or a black tank top, a short-sleeved jacket, a black or red skirt, tights or monochrome knee-high socks, and boots.
Personality: Kei is a relatively even-tempered girl, but she knows her rights and she knows where she stands. She may let the occasional insult pass, but once she reaches her breaking point, those who've known her for a long time know that its time to duck and cover. However, no one can really tell what she's thinking or how she's really feeling - when she smiles, it rarely reaches her eyes, leaving one to wonder if she is truly happy or in agreement with whatever has just been said. When she's in front of a dish - having bladed ever since she first learned about the sport - she gets down to business and lets no one tell her how to play it. It is here, in the stadium that one may see what seems to be the true Kei: strong-willed, passionate to the point of being stubborn, and with quite a temper.
The saying "Beware the quiet ones for they are the most dangerous..." seems to apply to this teen, for she holds distinction of being the current champion of Class 3-A from the senior year.

Age: 16 years old
Physical Description: Chiaki is among the shortest in her class, standing at around 5 feet 1 1/2 inches (156.2 cm), with sandy blonde hair that she wears short - only to just above her shoulders - and expressive deep blue eyes. She favors pastel colors, and won't hesitate trying new outfits whenever possible. She likes being comfortable, so most of her clothes are loose, comfy sweaters, shorts - so she can feel the breeze - or balloon skirts, and of course, flared pants that show off her favorite sneakers to perfection.
Personality: Chiaki blows both hot and cold, often to the extreme. This teen can be frigid and scathing one moment, pleasantly warm and friendly the next, and even positively scalding should she have reason to get her temper up that high. She isn't one to mince words, making her intentions known almost immediately. This also holds true to her relationships: you'll instantly know if she likes - or hates - you.
She's a competitive sort, and is a tad touchy when it comes to losing - whether her rival knows they've beat her or not. One of three students in the running for the top of the class, she views Fujiwara Kei as her current Number 1 rival and makes it a point that all of Class 3-A - and a few students in the other classes - know of it. Her current goal: to take the title of 'Class Champion' away from Kei.

Age: 16
Physical Description: Waist-length red hair that has pink bangs(straight). She's never seen without her signature goggles on her head. Her eyes are an amethyst purple, and glows strangely in the dark. She has a slight point in her ears and stands about 5"4'. Clothes include purple jacket, black shorts and leather platforms that boost her height another 3 inches. She wears a kitty bell on her neck that she plays around with when she is bored. She's got a lanky figure and barely has any curves.
Personality: She's the most childish of her friends, but also the most mature. She thinks ahead and is very organized. Raine can make any crazy idea work, which is why her friends voted her captain of their make shift team. She's ditsy and very polite/formal, often addressing people with -san even though those around her don't use honorifics do so anymore. She gets sugar high easily and is a clingy person- giving hugs to the strangest of strangers. Equipped with her Cheshire cat grin, no one can stay mad at her for long.

Age: 15
Physical Description: Hailing from China she speaks with an accent, often slipping in a chinese word or two within her speech. Mei has silver hair that she keeps up in odango buns, the rest of her hair reaching her shoulders (if she leaves her hair down, it reaches mid back). She has a narrow facial structure and her eyes are closed slits, making her resemble a fox in her own right. Mei-Hou stands about 5"4' (5"5' if she has her hair up) slim and has a figure she flaunts. Her clothes come in two colour: silver or orange.
Personality: She's crabby most of the time due to her strict diet and training regime. Mei has a good heart though if you can ignore her sharp tounge. She's a big flirt and has many "connections" to get good parts for beyblades (those with dirty minds stop reading now) She hates to lose and has a big temper. One of her hobbies is calling Raine short, even though she knows Raine hates that, and that they're the same height

Physical Description: Aqua hair that reaches her knees, slightly wavy. Her eyes are blood red, which make her look very intimidating. Her healthy height of 6' doesn't help either. She's got an athletic build , but holds onto modest curves. Roxy wears dark green cargo pants with brown combat boots, with blue tanktop and a newspaper boy hat. her accessories include studded belts, fishnet sleeves and large hoop earrings.
Personality: Roxy hardly sees people as people- more like fleshbags put here to keep her amused. Roxy likes to manipulate people just to see what happens. She dreams of becoming a rockstar or beyblader- her idol surprisingly enough is Ming Ming. She's got a 'don't mess with me' attitude that make people think she's anti social
