I come home today, and I find out 2 of my friends' accounts were banned today. None of them ever got a reason, like an email, explaining why they were banned. None of them even post anymore, they only use it to PM friends who they can't talk to on YIM, MSN, or AIM.
Their names were Myusha and Tenso-kun.
Please, if anyone knows a mod I can get into contact with, or that they can get into contact with, please let me know.
I'm really scared... What if any of us are next? It seems they're banning just to exploit their power, now... ._.; I'm really scared. I don't want to be banned again for no reason... again. crying
Please, can anyone help?

It was probably something obscure, like recieving botted gold, and the Emails probably got lost in spam filters. The mods won't ban for no reason.
If you haven't already, ask this question in Q&A and they'll tell you which mods to contact and how to go about it. :3

yeah, it does seem like the moderators/admins are becoming more ban happy recently. in fact the increasing claims from users that state that a situation exactly like the one you described happened to them as well is starting to make me very paranoid and fearful of a similar event happening to myself. i keep seeing an increasing number of threads in the questions/assistance forum of people claiming that they have been unfairly banned and not sure what to do about the situation. the response from the administration as to the reason for this banning is usually a hacking/banning suspicion which many of these users claim not to have committed. however, sometimes users state the reason the administrators gave for banning their account was simply because they didn't post enough. i guess posting frequently establishes people as active users, but if their claims are accurate, that doesn't seem enough of a justification to ban an account. unfortunately, only the users that have been directly effected can be informed about why they were banned, and even as a friend you cannot find out the reason for them. i would suggest telling your friends to make new accounts, and attempt through new accounts to try to figure out why they were banned as well as why they never received a mandatory e-mail about why they were banned. also, after learning about why they were banned, your friends can fill out a feedback form stating they were unfairly banned. this feedback form allows a chance for users to protest the decision to ban their account, as well as a chance to provide evidence that the accounts banned were legitimate. some users claim their appeals through this system were effective in restoring their accounts to their original state, however, other users who feel they were unfairly banned found this system ineffectual in returning their accounts, and their accounts remained permanently banned. i wish you the best of luck, and hope everything gets resolved favorably for your friends.

I was wrongly banned, and no matter how many forms I filled out, I never got a reply, a year and a half later. =o=
Neither of them have mules to rely back onto, and yeah they didn't post as much as they used to but that doesn't give them the right to ban them. I mean they still reply to PMs and such. That's active enough, right?
I do worry that they ban for no reason. And I worry that any of us could be next. The mod system is wacked, this I know. The fact that they are backed up on forms by a year (as I was told previously) makes it impossible to get justice even if we were in fact wrongly banned.
My friend told me last night they "technically" have the power to ban for no reason. He says it's what we agreed to when we said "yes" to their ToS. He also said that, yes, they usually do need a reason, but alot of times they also just like exploiting their power. I know my friends haven't done anything wrong. I hang out with them in person alot, and they are too busy to be on gaia sometimes. I just don't understand why them ._.;

yeah, aside from the commentary that i already mentioned, since your friends don't own mule accounts, i would suggest they make one so they can figure out what's going on. but aside from that, i really am sorry for the situation with your friends, and hope things will get resolved in your friends favor.

I hang out with them in person alot, and they are too busy to be on gaia sometimes. I just don't understand why them ._.; Filling out multiple forms slows down the process - and its already backed up enough as it is. The only thing you *can* do is fill out the feedback form once and wait. sweatdrop People do get responses and do get unbanned, it just takes... an infernally long time. They don't ban for no reason, though. Just because you can't think of the reason they banned you doesn't mean there isn't one. Its true, they do ban for obscure things eons after they happened, but in the end they have enough evidence to ban you. You can PM *any* moderator and ask them why you were banned. Your friends will have to create mule accounts and ask, though - mods won't reveal that information to you if its not your account. I promise, you won't get a PM back saying "Uh, no reason, we just wanted to. =D" Mods are volunteers and users just like us, so I doubt they'd go power hungry and ban. And they don't *have* the power to ban. Last I checked that rested with the admins, who are payed to do this. I really doubt they go around banning people for no reason. List of Moderators / AdminsI really hope you guys can get unbanned, though. It sucks that everything moves so slow. sad

Grin Evilly says: D: I don't think they can ban for no reason...
Maybe look at the admin list in one of the forums? Maybe one of them can help. 3nodding <33

Well, my friend Myu doesn't want to make another account. She just wants to quit =o= She says she's not going back on Gaia, despite how upset she is about all this. And her boyfriend, the other one who got banned, says he's not coming back either because he doesn't wanna get banned again for no reason.
The thing is, is that they didn't send an email to them saying why. When I was banned they sent me a PM, even though I didn't do anything. =o= Why didn't they send a PM, then?

Did they really send a PM? Thats really weird. If you were banned you shouldn't have had access to the account in question. o__o; And gaia doesn't PM mules on the guess that it belongs to the same person. They usually do send emails, but more often than not they get lost in spam filters and junk boxes. The fastest and easiest way is to just PM a moderator and ask why - you can also get more information on what to do about it, too. Well, I hate to say this, but it sounds like your friends don't *want* to find out why they were banned and are just going to be stubborn about it. They can say it was for "no reason" all they want, but until they PM a moderator and find out for sure its not really true. sweatdrop
