EDIT: I took the poll out, because folch came back and told us what he'll be doing.

If I understand correctly (and folchinator can edit this), he's going to remove every thing from this subforum and the guild once he's logged it on his personal computer. He's started a new guild which will house a new Mental-related RP in a few months.

Folchinator can remain a mod until he is done logging and clearing out whatever he needs to from this guild. Then he can PM this account to let me know that he is ready to have his mod status removed. He's free to advertise his guild in this subforum until the subforum is cleared out.

Even though I am not part of this Role play, I do follow it, because it is interesting to follow. I think we should wait until Folchi gets back, or find a temporary Gm, because this role play is too good of a role play to scrap.

I think we should get some one that talks to him in real life, and have them talk to him as they gm the role play. If I was a better gm I would try, but I don't talk to him that much, and I don't want to mess it up, if he plans on returning.

But the decision is all up to you, it is your guild, and it is the guild's money that is being spent on this sub forum. But I do like the idea that you had to put a poll up though.

College blows. End of story.

I guess I deserve a long post about where I've been and what I've been occupied with, but I'll save that for a couple of days from now. Until then, my vote is to scrap this on my count.

I will be copy-pasting ALL posts and logging them in my roleplaying folder.

Long-story short, the future of The Darwin Chronicles (Otherside, Mental, The Reawakened) will go as follows, whether hosted in this glorious guild or not.

Christmastime: Re-recruiting
Spring Semester part one: Getting Other-Side ready
Spring Semester part two: Choosing 2 Co-GMs
Summer: Summer stock. No Roleplaying
Fall Semester next: In Prague, with only 1 class to take. This will be when Otherside starts.
Spring Semester next: Continue.
Summer next: Undecided.

And so on. Again, I thank you all for your support, and I hope to be hearing from you shortly.

You may also remove Other-Side :'( when I'm ready.

My vote is for scrapping the game.

The game (allegedly) has a future, and I'm a pretty patient person. I can wait if Mental's coming back eventually.

I might go for one of those GM positions, should folchinator want it.

Alright, so here's the scoop.

I go to NYU for Vocal Performance, one of the school's most lucrative majors...class from 9-6 every day kind of blows and takes up so much time it's ridiculous. I let Mental die absent-mindedly, and then when it came time to break it to everyone, I couldn't bring myself to do so.

Perhaps I was fooling myself.

I'm not sure. I've been auditioning for professional shows, practicing, working out, making connections, etc...and it's been crazy. I'm actually in class right now, my only lecture (thank god) that I can bring a computer to.

That's the summary. Not excuses.

So I DO want to bring Mental back, but I also think that the level of demand SDRP holds is far too great for me to handle. I'm going to be starting my own guild simply to house the Darwin Chronicles over christmas.

Over the next week I'll be going through the heartbreaking process of stripping every trace of me off of the subforums. I also recommend you remove me from Mod status; I can't possibly call myself a Moderator when I've done nothing at all in the last few months. I'll be copying, pasting, saving and scheming.

When Christmas comes I will use my money to start a guild. I will not message all previous or potential players of Mental, etc. I will advertise. I will talk to old friends. I will wait until I get about 25-50 applicants and choose 8 to work with. They will be EXTREMELY promising, every one. We will hold a few meetings/interviews. I will NOT be doing "practice runs" because they waste time and are pretty pointless. The "auditions" will be rigorous but very, very necessary.

The original 8 will be primed for Other-Side as I begin to write the full book of Other-Side.

We will play when I finish work in the summer/touch down in Prague.

When all is finished (it will be shorter that originally concieved), I will take all those who manage to complete the game and ask them whether or not they wish to continue through the series.

They will be added by however many are necessary to breach 16 players. Mental will be written while they are briefed and groomed.

Depending on the time this all arises, we will either begin or wait. Certain character models from the past will be saved as they are plot-crucial.

This process will go on for some time. A long time.

Finally, the remaining will be briefed on their current status in the Mental universe and asked about their prospective continuation of the series.

The cycle repeats and we finish the Trilogy by the projected Summer 2010. Huzzah.

And yes, this is a roleplay. Yes, I'm taking it way too seriously. No, I don't care.

More to come soon. I truly hope for the utmost success and prospering of this fantastic, helpful and friendly guild.

Cheers,

folchinator

unless you have enough cash that 10k doesn't matter be sure to buy a used guild, they're a lot cheaper and the only differences are that it will have incorrect stats (member/post count) and maybe a bunch of junk posts to delete.

I have about 80k and I don't care about items or clothes all that much. I'd like my own.

The guild is bought and I've finished logging about 25% of the original Barton Town forum. The next step will be to go into the Original Mental, in the guild COMPLEX! to get the rest of my information.

If my buddy Folchy McDingdongdiddlyB-manFolchinator PMs me about a new RP, I will come. You can take that TO DA BANK!!

Alright. So like I said, the guild is created. I've got three subforums up right now, and the only current task at hand is to photoshop a nice little advert to slap around Gaia.

Then comes the application process. that is going to blowwwwww

Hey, good to hear from you again, Folch.
And I'm excited about the prospect of picking up with Other-Side again. I'm willing to wait however long we have to, but I'd like to be a part of that when it starts up. I had a great time with you and the other members of the RP.

By the way, it's possible that you're taking the RPs too seriously. Probably more than 'possible'. However, in my opinion, that's what makes your RPs so much fun.

Folchinator, thanks for posting, since that makes the vote unnecessary. The vote was split pretty evenly so I don't think we would have been able to keep the RP around with out you. Please see the edited post. 3nodding
