The grass beneath Keegan soaked his fur as he sat below the giant tree. A day of rest from the nonstop rain meant some time to finally clean off the dry, cracked mud all over his fur. Well, it would have been if he had not been so tired from running nonstop, day after day with his sister.

As the sun began to progress through the clouds Keegan looked around at the barren land around him. Leaves guided lost drops of rain water to the ground and only the single tree he lay beneath provided any interesting scenery. A life of solitude, except for his sister who was off hunting, was not very fun. Then again, Keegan only enjoyed the quiet around him.

No surpirses, no ambushes, no other wolves. One good day for once. Thank God.

In the distance a single form sauntered silently through the land, enjoying a light breeze that tranquilly visited him. Fat droplets fell from above, hitting lightly across the silver pelt of the canine as a few autumn leaves drifted down along with them; the patter and splat of the trickling sounded like marvelous chimes in the wind. Mud laced his paws, swirling with the cyan markings up his front legs, but even as it squished through his pads the wolf was not disturbed. Saeldur, as he was called, spent much of his time inhabiting waters, often allowing the mire from below to cape his paws and though he didn't like the odd feeling at first, he had grown used to the sensation.

Pausing, the wolf put his nose to the air, allowing the scents of the pines and various oaks to drift forward, but as he was about to relieve his neck and continue forward a new, strange odor flowed his way. Silver ears perked forward becoming intrigued. Saeldur hardly remembered the last time he had come in contact with another wolf so naturally a curiosity sprang up within him...he wanted to meet this stranger.

Cautiously he made his way forward, following the trail at a slow pace. When his baby blue orbs finally locked on the form, he lowered his tail in a submissive fashion, unsure exactly how to approach the other male.
