HELP ME FINISH IT! I NEED ABOUT 5 BODY PARAGRAPHS

I first found Excel Taekwondo Center when I was probably seven. We were driving by often and I always looked through the window of the car staring at the sign that says, “Excel
Taekwondo” and consecutively thought of the times I was attacked in school. I grew curious of the ways it can help me and tried peering through the window to see the action going on inside. I nagged my mother to register me but she just thought it was a short term interest. After weeks of entreating, my mother with the support of my father, finally gave in and took me to sign up.
My first class was partially awkward. It was right after when we signed up, and there was no uniform my size so I had to wear an Excel shirt and my jeans. We first learned the fighting stance as our lesson and were shown kicks and told to mimic them.
Day by day, my experience widened and I slowly caught up with everything I was taught. I also remember barely being able to keep up with the workouts because I thought it was always too hard. Instead, these challenges halted me from asking my mother to quit, had been replaced by “determination” to pursue what I have started in martial arts which is supposed to be a way to train and life as it is, is not always fun.
I usually have never thought of what I can gain from Taekwondo instead of thinking just using it to defend myself. But for years, Taekwondo has done a lot for me. One thing is that now I can defend myself against bullies since I used to get beat up in school on more than several occasions. This was a problem when I was younger because I came home with bruises and I had no way to keep them away. Just using the basics to fend off bullies worked to the point where they stopped bugging me.
Sportsmanship is easily developed from Taekwondo because it is an Olympic sport that takes a lot to handle a loss or a win and to not gloat or whine about it. This promotes a good attitude towards frustration.
Taekwondo has trained me to be a better leader. Being a leader is important in life. When you have an opportunity, it takes a leader to seize it and a follower to let it slip away. Even for the little things like stretching the class or helping people to set a better example, can mean something important to someone.
Taekwondo has helped me become more social. Talking and getting to know people is a breeze now. I used to be shy and just sit and do nothing when now I have become talkative and active. This really helps during social events to go and get to know people.
Likewise, self-understanding is another asset to Taekwondo. Practicing Taekwondo takes a person face to face with himself or herself. One often thinks he or she understands, but this is "where the rubber hits the road".
Additionally, Taekwondo has been a great way to relieve stress. If I ever had a bad day on a class day, I would take out my stress by putting my all into training and leave class perfectly relaxed and focused.
From class, I have also built physical strength. I now have a higher tolerance for pain from attacks in sparring class, help my dad carry around items, and move around heavy objects to
fix things. This helps a lot when I'm doing chores or playing sports. It has also made me flexible and obtain a higher level of endurance. It builds my confidence in being able to do things by
myself.
Taekwondo has built my agility. It is now easier to move quickly or manipulate obstacles to my favor. This can be used in everyday activities such as walking home, playing with friends, or avoiding crashing into people while running.
Accuracy and power are moreover betterments from Taekwondo. Accuracy is an outcome of focused attention to a certain target. Power is the focus and speed of a technique.
Learning conduct is an included aid. The seven home rules, and tenets of Taekwondo are all rules of self-discipline and self-control. This positively affects people’s behavior to a more calm, and relaxed state.
Mental strength is another added benefit from Taekwondo. It is easier to create strategies, observe for weaknesses, find movement patterns, and use them to my advantage. This also helps with sports, games, and homework. It has also made me a quick thinker to advantages and weaknesses.
Furthermore, it is exciting to be in Taekwondo with all of the constant tournaments, tests and classes. Everyday there is always something new to learn and do or prepare for.
I have earned a sense of deep respect from Taekwondo, for the instructors who teach it, and the students who learn it because of their will power to keep going and pursue their goals. My friends also have been a big help to me because of their work to achieve their black belt is always an inspiring task for me.
I also have a better sense of accomplishment from this because of the work that is put into years of training for the black belt test, the milestone for my career in Taekwondo. Achieving this goal is a long and rigorous process but making it this far is already a lot of work.
Since I started Taekwondo, my life has changed quite a bit. While I still have the homework, reports, and extra-credit work, I don’t stress over them quite as much anymore. I no longer stay up late at night trying to figure out my homework. The change was gradual and now I am intent on working hard for my grades and my advancements in Taekwondo.
As I am about to receive my black belt, I look at the time spent going from white belt to black belt as a spiritual journey as well as a physical, mental and emotional one. It is a journey of a martial artist, a spiritual warrior. A few months prior to starting Taekwondo, I started to explore my own spiritual path. Taekwondo has been every bit a part of that path for me.
My definition of black belt has changed since I first started Taekwondo. When I first started I thought that a black belt was just a belt. Its purpose was to show your skill and rank in the martial arts, but now I know it’s more than that. It is a symbol of many things, confidence, perseverance, honesty, self-control, discipline, courtesy, integrity, and respect. And as I continue to practice Taekwondo the meaning grows deeper with each kick with each punch, with each class and day that passes. I learn more and more on how to better myself and the world around me. That is why I find it a privilege to be a black belt. Some individuals may think that black belt is the end of martial arts but they are mistaken, it is the actual beginning. To me it is a journey with many days of pain, but I will push my limits to try and achieve it.
The Taekwondo belts for me have been about change and transformation. I have been changed. I have been transformed. I never started this journey intending to get a black belt, nor
did I intend to become a martial artist, but I did start this journey intending to find myself and I
found a martial artist. The end of this one journey is near and it is with a smile that I look towards a new journey as a martial artist.
I would like to thank my parents for registering me, and bringing me to tournaments and classes, to the instructors for teaching, coaching and advising, and to my classmates for being a constant motivation to go for black belt.
Taekwondo is great and I look forward to many more years.

DONE!

Why?

I'd have to go through it again, but I think there are a few choppy sentences (you might have already fixed since I've last read it). I think one sentence struck me as really awkward sounding:

"After weeks of entreating, my mother with the support of my father, finally gave in and took me to sign up."

It sounds really choppy.
