"Pollyanna" as a gift exchange

hey every one! Christmas is coming up and I had this thought about Lolita Pollyanna. well I would think it would be nice to get a gift from a friend (or even to make a new friend) by getting or receiving. but the gift does not have to be too much (or really should be low priced) or you can even make a gift.

what a cute idea! Of course there are certain things that must be maintained such as finding out the addresses of the ones participating whilst keeping your identity secret.

I love gift exchanges. I try to participate in them often on the My Little Pony Arena. x3

However...this idea has been suggested before within this guild, and it has gotten bad reviews. :< While I think it's a great idea, I can see how it would be hard to manage on Gaia within a guild.
There's no way for us to track IPs, and we have many members with mule accounts also in the guild.

However, we can't stop members from privately swapping with each other. We just can't really organize a swap within the guild.

Yes, I remember someone had a idea like this last year, I don't think it worked out >< It's a great idea! I would suggest PO boxes, but not many people have them?

This is a good idea and is in the spirit of Christmas! I think that if guild memebers want to actually physically send things to each other, I think I should talk to the other moderators about perhaps opening a LJ account so we can do this there as GAIA TOS will not allow us to exchange address' and such.

If members aren't so sure on giving out their address, like NeverMoreBlue said, maybe artwork?

Let me know your suggestions people and we can possibly make it happen! heart

Just so that everything works out, each member who participates would need to have good feedback listed somewhere though. Perhaps eBay.

I just realized that since this has to do with giving out addresses through Gaia, that I think is against the rules... If you read the TOS at the top there is a Privacy Notice. Here you aren't suppose to give out your address but through other means like LJ or something I am sure it's okay but for now until I get more info on this from a moderator I am going to have to lock this topic. >_<
