Ok, There is an unused medical/science building near a school. The building is strictly off limits, but kids play in their any way. Some kids hold Halloween dances, haunted house parties, or just hang out in the lobby of the place.
There is a single large room (the lobb) filled with waiting chairs, that is the size of a very large dance hall, in the back is a single desk, with nothing in or on it. and behind the desk is an elevator that only works with a key.
No one can get behind the desk, considering it is three sides conected to the wall and to high to just jump over. But with a chair some one could easily get over, but there is no way to open the elevator, so people leave it alone. What they don't know is just ten floors up (the floors between the lobby and that floor are just empty nothing floors) is a lab with a strange machine.
(the school could be either high school or college. your pick)

(Xennik, luv it! ^_^)
Tia sat at her divided desk, her headphones blasting music louder then her ears could handle it, but she truely didn't care. This was her favorit song, and she barely got to listen to it more then once a day... She slowly looked at her watch, class had to be over by now. She was in her second study period that day, the teachers were holding Midterms the next day, so they all gave the students study time.
Finally the second hand hit the twelve and she was free, the teacher handed out study packets to the students and they were all off. Tia stood and left the library, bumping into her friend Faye.
"Tia, you going to the study group tonight?"
"No, I think i'll pass...its Marine Biology, I lived on the shore of the sound most of my life, i know all i need to know."
"What about Music History?" Faye asked, her voice slightly high pitched. Tia took the packet from the teacher and walked out of the library. She stopped just out side the door and pulled her leather jacket closer to herself to stop the chill running up her spine.
"Faye...you kidding? The key word is...MUSIC" Tia sighed. "I'm sorry...music is my life, there's nothing that teacher's said that hasn't been absorbed into my brain. I'll be fine. Besides," she leaned on her hip and laced her thumb into her belt loop. "I'm two months behind on sleep...and I need sleep for my spongy brain to work. So I think I'll pass."
"Well Ok...I'll see you tomorrow in class then" and Faye was off. Tia sighed and turned down the streat and headed off to her dorm. She slowly walked past the Forbidden Building, the old Science Factory or something. People held parties there when the teachers weren't looking, and it left her to wonder, what made the building so...mysterious.
She soon arrived at her dorm, and dropped her stuff and landed on her bed. She didn't even change, didn't take off her jacket...but first thing she thought of was that building. Every day she walked past it...and it just seemed to call to her. Her wild imagination started running mad with out her, imagining lab tests being done in there, haunted corridors, zombies, killer virus samples. She smiled and tried to close her eyes.
Only an hour later, making it about 5 o'clock, Tia woke again, her spinning mind unable to let her sleep peacefully. She had dreamed of a mythical forest filled with mist...a lake with water cold as ice, and a man in a dark cloak. She sat up and went to the bathroom to splash her face, looking out the window and seeing the Forbidden Building. Curiosity plauged her, and she couldn't help but start off out for a walk...right to the forbbiden Building.
She got to the front door, a revolving door, and walked into the large empty hallway. Finding herself amazed at the size, the litter on the ground from a recent party; cups, napkins, some popcorn and chips. It was so strange, this haunted area being such a hot spot. She turned to see the desk, the elevator...and a strong chair infront of a vent in the wall. She walked over, the desk up to her shoulders, and the elevator glaring at her, calling to her to come closer. She tried to get over the desk...but found that she needed the chair. She went to the chair and went to look over to see the desk was utterly empty...nothing was there. no drawers, no cubbies, just a play desk. And as she looked down at the vent, she saw a small hole, and a shimmering light coming from inside it.
Tia knelt, prying at the vent untill the frame way gave loose. She was shocked to see a small key laying there in the vent, gleaming, beconing. She took it in her fingers and looked it over, standing and looking at the elevator and found that it required a key...just about the same size. Why had no one noticed this before? Why had no one found this key? Wasn't any one looking? She climbed over the desk with the help of the chair, and stood before the elevator. She slid the key into the slot, and jumped as the elevator ding'ed, and the doors slowly opened.
She looked at the elevator for what felt like a long time, wondering if she should go in. But as soon as those doors started closing...She sprinted in. And the doors shut behind her, the key still in the slot ready to open again.
(sorry it was so long, had to give the intro...you know ^_^)

"Alyssa?!" David Ranner's deep baritone voice echoed strangely off the walls of the deserted building. "Alyssa?!" David kicked through some trash littering the floor from some past party that no one had bothered to clean up after, trying to keep both his temper and his fear under control. Alyssa had no right doing this to him. Couldn't she just control herself and behave?
He'd never been in this weird building. He liked a good party every now and then, but not in creepy deserted buildings where anything could happen.
Especially to an adventurous little 11-year-old.
David clenched his teeth and his fists simultaneously and slowly counted to ten as he surveryed the room. If he was...
He didn't even need to finish the thought, because his eyes had landed on a door, concealed bhind a desk, the key glinting in its keyhole. "You are in DEEP trouble, Alyssa!" David called as he turned the key. The doors grated open to reveal an untrustworthy, rackety little elevator. David's pulse quickened and a heavy feeling of dread weighted his chest.
Maybe he was right...maybe Alyssa was deep trouble.

Tia walked out of the Elevator, and it quickly shut behind her, zooming back down the many floors that it took her. She stood silently and looked at it for a moment, shocked at what happened.
"Where...Where am i?" she slowly turned and practicaly fell over. She leaned on the counter that resided to her left as she watched the lights flash on, loud thunderous noises erupting from the multitude of machines that filled the room. She was breathless. Tia walked about the large room looking at the machinery...untill she saw a group of large tube like machines. The lable above the doors were what caught her eye.
"The...Dream Machine?" She walked up to it, inspected it. "What is this?" then, suddenly, the doors to the machine opened, and before Tia could do anything...some one or thing pushed her in, and the door was closed in seconds. She didn't have time to see before the foggy mist of sleeping gas filled her eyes and lungs. She was out cold in moments.

It was like some weird melodramatic scene from some bizarre horror movie. The creaky old elevator came to a stop, the door screeched open, and David saw his sister fall forward into some otherworldly contraption.
“Allysa!” He cried, jerking forward. Allysa looked woozy. Her breathing became erratic. She turned to look at her older brother with an expression of terror. Then her face melted into bliss, the compartment fogged, and when the fog disappeared, the young girl was gone.
“Allysa!” David roared, pounding on the glass, eyes wide in terror. He cried out as the door opened, dumping him head first into the compartment. He gasped, struggling to his feet. The door shut itself with surprising grace and speed. And suddenly he found it hard to breathe. He swooned. “Allysa…! No….Allysa…” He fell heavily to his knees and succumbed to the world of his dreams…

((if you like, we could have all the characters meet in Lythona, the open vast plain on the center of 'Dream Island' its surounded by mountains. There is a little lake in the center that 'calls' to the dreamers, they all meet there))
Tia slowly opened her eyes, only to find herself in a strange grass which enveloped her. She sat up abruptly, finding the yellow grass was much taller then herself. She slowly stood, wondering where she was, only to find that she could barely see over the neck high grass. The reflection of the sun made it very difficult to see...and that was when she realized...She wasn't in the lab any longer, and the rocks she felt below her feet...ment she wasn't wearing any shoes.
She looked down, her wide eyes amazed at what she saw. She was...practicaly wearing nothing! Only a thin silky cloth that covered her chest, and a soft skirt of the same matirial. Her feet her bare and the only things keeping her outfit on were the beautiful golden breast plate and belt. She was in shock.
It wasn't moments later that she was running through the grass, finding a little clearing in the dead center, with a little lake, or reflecting pool...and she inspected herself. She forgot to breathe...she was...Beautiful?
"Where is this place? How did i...How did I get here?" It didn't take long for her to recognise herself. "This...this is what I look like...in my dream...What was the name of this character? Lura? No way...Did that Machin really...." she fell to her knees...she was just in a stuper. "This...This is amazing!"

(( Sounds good. ))
Agaio sat, blinking to clear his fogged mind. Ouch...he must have fallen and hit his head pretty hard...
...and been electrocuted in the process. He frowned as he felt his hair. It was standing on end as though gravity had decided to give up on it. That's when he decided to get a better look at his whole self.
"What the *@$%#@&^%!" He leapt to his feet and did a rather amusing little dance of horror as he looked down at himself. What in the world?
But David was level-headed in any sort of situation. His mind quickly stored his bizarre new looks for later pondering and turned to the present problem. Allysa. He still didn't know where she was.
Or where he was, for that matter.
(( Skipping ahead a few hours or so to battle writer's block ))
He'd found water. After wandering for hours, he'd finally found water. His outfit was weird, but at least it was practical and designed for travelling. He had spent hours walking, and getting used to himself.
And finding out things he didn't know he knew about himself.
Like, apparently, his name was Agaio. Or at least the name of this body was. He spoke English, Elven, Drow, and Nymian, whatever that was. He was a traveller who went from place to place, never content enough to settle down, doing odd jobs, most of which were usually monster-hunting. He was always restless, but he didn't know why.
So apparently he had a past. But he was also David, the boring college student. Which one was his real past?
Somehow, it was becoming easier and eaiser to accept that he was Agaio, out to find his sister. But what would she look like?
Agaio frowned, studying his reflection in the water as he thought.
He was suddenly aware that there was someone else with him. He glanced up sharply and for a moment couldn't breathe. It wasn't that she was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen, it was that...
Well, she was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen.
And it really didn't help his struggling mind that she was dressed so...provocatively. There was seriously no purpose for the clothes she was wearing.
Fortunately, Agaio was levelheaded. While David struggled to control his thoughts, Agaio calmly considered her a seductress and made note to tread lightly.
He realized that he'd been staring at her for quite some time and finally spoke. "Who are you?" His voice was deep and melodic, his tone commanding.
(( It's kind of awkward easing into this, but I consider him to have kind of two mentalities right now. They'll slowly but surely grow together as the plot continues, but right now that's the best way to make sense of things. I'm thinking that he's more of ended up being his sister's fantasy hero, rather than his own, kind of like he fell into HER dream, not exactly his own, but he is his own person.
Does that make any sense? XD ))

((Yes that does make sense. I had decided to make the island a part of each of their dreams... with differant parts erupting from every where. Tia hated her normal life, always wanted to be in her dreams...so it was easier for her to make the transition into Lura. She is dressed rather...seductivly....^_^))
Lura saw in the water a shadow of a reflection of a man beside her, and was suprised to find she wasn't the only one there. She cried out and moved away. She leaned on her arm and looked at him a look of almost frightful, childish wonder. He was...so handsom she was speachless. She sat there in silence, blankly looking him over. She got to her knees and leaned toward him as if to look closer.
"Who are you?" he asked, his voice so beautiful yet powerful. She flinched back again. Why was she so childishly frightened?
"I...I'm" she looked at herself briefly, this had to be a dream...she should keep it that way...shouldn't she? "I'm Tia...but...My names Lura." it was the most awkward thing she had ever said. She sat there, looking at him, as if waiting for him to disappear, untill she finally spoke again. "Who are you?" her voice soft and calming, a hint of fear still tainted her voice.

He was standing, holding his staff in his hands. She was on the ground, looking up at him, with a muxture of fascination and terror on her pretty face. Agaio actually looked behind him to see what on earth...or wherever they were...she found so interesting. Then he realized it must be him.
That was an interesting thought.
"Lura, hmm?" She looked so childish, so scared. So much for her being a seductress. What else could she possibly be, then?
Another person like him?
"Agaio." He knelt before her so he would seem less intimidating.
He smirked the fiercely handsome smile of a ruffian. "You're either very lost, Princess, or you've lost your mind." He commented, gesturing at her scantily clad body while being careful to keep his eyes trained on her face, lest he come across as a little too interested.

She blushed when he spoke, did he just call her princess? "Yes.." she said softly, trying to cover herself, but it was to no use. "I do believe I'm lost. I'm...actually rather confused. I wasn't here a moment ago. I was in a strange Lab...and i was tossed into this machine..." she paused and looked at him. "You must think im Crazy."
She pulled herself to her knees, her hair blowing in her face, the wind chill didn't let her warm even for a moment, and the fact she wasn't wearing much to protect her didn't help much either.
" Darn its cold..." she rubbed her arms...only to suddenly feel a thick cloak cover her shoulders. It had just come from no where...She was slightly frightened...but pulled the draping cloak closer about her to cover her rather revieling form. "That...was odd" was all she could say.

"No." Agaio murmurred calmly, adjusting himself so he sat cross-legged before her. He leaned against a tree, arms crossed over his broad chest, studying her with a professional, calculating thoroughness. "That would make two of us."
Man, she was hot. And she was so cute when she blushed like that. He forced himself to look away as she adjusted her posture to keep himself from staring, though he desperately wanted to. He looked back in time to see the shawl appear out of thin air. Forever calm, he simply raised a dark eyebrow. "Are you a Spellcaster?" He shouldn't have bothered asking. Her expression told him clearly that the shawl had been a surprise.

Lura was glad to know he didn't think she was crazy. Agaio kept giving her the strangest looks, she pulled the cloth closer about herself. When he asked if she was a spell caster, she was slightly caught off guard. "I...I don't think so..." she sat and thought for a moment, talking to herself out loud. "So if I'm Lura...then I'm my story character...who was she?" she was muttering softly to herself. "I...I think I have some sort of magical powers...but they shouldn't work before sundown...and not something like this..." her head hurt. This was the most confusing day ever. She looked up at Agaio, her eyes softly smiling. 'Atleast I met a cute boy...a very cute boy...' she thought to herself.
"So how did you get here? I don't remember...I don't recall being followed...Did you push me into the machine?" she asked quickly. He didn't look like the kind of guy who would do that...but...if he got here the same way she did...he doesn't look like he normaly did either. This was an entirely new person. "This is just confusing...Where is this place?"
