"Du du dudedudu!" His voice could be heard long before he could be seen, though he quickly remedied this by bounding in to view and performing a splay legged pose. "Why should I worry? Why should I CaAArre, I may not have a dime, whoah! But I got street saboifair ohh OH!" The young leopard shuffled accross the savannah his paws leaping to a beat which he sang rather melodiously.

To say that his voice was awful just wasn't true, he sang in a wonderful, though strange manner, he was out for an explore though, so to keep himself company he sang. Usually the soft orange leopard lived and resided in or near the jungle, but a few days ago the old itchy feet had taken control and the tabby tomcat had decided ultimately, it was time for an explore and so his paws had taken him here, where ever here was. It didn't matter, he knew where home was and a few days away from the steamy jungles never did anyone any harm, right?

Azriell'Kyupe grumbled, one paw coming up to cover her face as she shuffled around a little, quite happy snoozing under the shade of a lovely big tree. But no. Someone had to come spoil that. Whining a little, thinking it'd go away soon, she brought her other paw up to cover her ears, not even bothering to open her eyes. She was a cub. It was hot. She was sleepy. It all made sense, if you thought about it.

But some stupid cat was singing. Singing! Who the hell would want to sing? And he wasn't stopping, either. Grumbling to herself, the youth groggily opened her eyes, paws finding their footing as she clambered a little clumsily to her feet, jaw stretching open in a yawn before snapping shut again, Azi blinking the sleep from her eyes.

And wait - it wasn't even a lion. It was a Leopard - how weird. A leopard that didn't have spots. Debating whether to shout out to shut up, Azi decided agaisnt it, instead forcing her tired paws to carry her sleepily over towards the fully-grown Leopard. She'd never met a Leopard before. And she didn't particularly want to. Especially not after it had just woken her up. But hey, what could she say? She wa curious.

"You woke me up." came the rather brief, sulky statement from the youngster, who did indeed look as if she'd just woken up. Although she didn't realise it, a tuft of brown fur was sticking upright from her head, in a rather amusing sight.

Beau didn't even notice the tiny liones suntil he nearly stood on her with one of his flouncing dance steps, his dark eyes widened and he stood spread eagled before her a brow raised curiously. "It's kinda early to sleep isn't it? the suns still up, though I'm not exactly innept at night time parting." He grinned and took a slideing side step, dust splaying up around him as he eyed the little female curiously and perhaps a little cautiously, little lions could mean big lions and big lions didn't always like little leopards, especially if they woke little lions.

"You got a bit of bed head there little cub," He pointed tot he top of his head and grinned playfully. "Now my melodeous tones wouldn't wake anyone from their dreamy slumber maybe oit was someone else hmm?" He bemed his back foot constantly moving and tapping a beat.

Everything he said seemed like it had a tune to it, and perhaps it did, he seemed unwilling, or unable to keep his tail or paws from keeping in time with some beat which cascaded through his head. "Names beau little femme, you wanna dance with me before you go back to bed hmm?" He stide stepped then his but bouncing as he did so.

Azriell continued to pout, wanting him to say sorry and apologise to her. After all, that was the polite thing to do. And it wasn't early to sleep - it was too hot to be jumping about, so sleeping seemed the logical thing to do, after all. But a bed head? Frowning a little, before growling and bringing a paw up to flatten the fur, she gained a slight blush on her cheeks, embarrassed.

And of course he had woken her up. There wasn't anyone else around. Still pouting a little, yet she was unable to stop herself being curious when he mentioned dancing. Dancing was supposed to be that fun hing, right? Taking a small step forwards, she frowned, contemplating whether to ask or not.

"...How do you dance?" she asked. It sounded fun - she wanted to give it a shot! Mum had never told her leopards were bad, after all.

"How do you dance?" What a question to ask." He grinned roguishly, his deep orange eyes shimmering as he tapped his back foot. "Well for a start you need to loosen up a little, feel the beat." His ears perked forwards then his whole rear end bouncing in time to some imaginary beat.

"The whole world has a beat to it if you listen hard enough." He lowered his muzzle then to the little lionesses ear and whispered. "Just listen,t he wind in the branches, the birds in the sky, the herd in thse distance, they all add to the beat, you just have to hook in to it."

He puurred then and bounced backwards spinning around before doign a quick side step followed by a rather dusty slide. "This place, it sings of old songs. Can't you hear them?"

Azriell pouted. It wasn;t her fault if she didn't know how to dance. His grin was beginning to annoy her - it was as if he was patronising her. But at the same time, there was something about it. Something about him in general, that just made her want to laugh and pounce around in a childish manner. A feeling which she was finding it slightly hard to resist.

Loosen up and feel the beat? What beat? She jumped a little when he whispered in her ear, startled, but listened none-the-less. Her tail flicked upwards, curling up a little as she pouted thoughtfully, trying hard to listen. Wind, birds, herd...how was she supposed to make a beat out of them?

Whining, collapsing onto the ground with her limbs splayed in four opposite directions, Azi sulked. "I can't hear anythiiiiiing!"

Bau chuckled lightly and shook his head. "That just means you're not listening hard enough." Giving a wink he starts to tap one forepaw ont he ground tapping out a beat ont he ground. "Okay see, this is the herd." His head starts to bob then "and the birds they hum a tune that compliments the herd, and the wind!" His tail slowly sweeps from left to right. "It whistles." A long puurr rolls off his lips then as he starts to sing.

"From the day we arrive on the planet
And blinking, step into the sun
There's more to see than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done
There's far too much to take in here
More to find than can ever be found
But the sun rolling high
Through the sapphire sky
Keeps great and small on the endless round

It's the Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
The Circle of Life

It's the Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
The Circle of Life"

during this verse the young leopard dances in time to the beat his paws treading out a most unusual but lythe performance. "This land, it sings that song! Can't you hear it?" He puurrs his dep orange eyes closing a sigh rolling over his pale lips. "Beautiful, a land full of melody."

Azi pouted a little, not bothering to get up as the Leopard began speaking, and then started singing. Her ears perked up a little, however, as she pushed herself to her feet, head bopping along a little, the female unable to stop herself. It was kinda catching. Plus, she was beginning to get it. She could hear a beat, of sorts - she wasn't sure if it was right, but it was there.

She began pouncing around a little, tail wagging like a dog's might as a small smile formed on her face, the young lionness dancing as only a young lion could. She had a toothy grin on her face, as she bopped and danced to the beat, continuing even after Beau had finished singing.

"Look! I'm doing it! I'm doing it!"

Beau chuckled and nodded to the beat which the little lioness picked up so easily. "Yeah thats right you're doin' it, now just sway your tail a lil'" He smiled his deep orange eyes full of laughter. It wasn't very often that someone aggreed to dance with him, though of course this was a cub. He was fairly glad she was dancing and laughing instead of ruinning to someone bigger and meaner. That to say the least, was a god send.

"Hey you want to learn a little lyric? You can sing it to your mother" He smiled and for the first time he lay down, his tail continued to twitch in time to the beat in his head, but the rest of his body was still.

"The elephant is a wonderful bird, it swings from bow to bow, it builds it's nest in a rhubarb tree and whistles like a cow."

He chuckles, his eyes dancing happily. "Now you try, it's called a noncence lymeric, but songs and poems don't have to make sence to make you feel good."

Sway her tail? Trying to comply, Azi's childish grin remained on her face as she flicked her tail around a little, bounding about and dancing a little outrageously to the beat she could hear. She paused as he started asking questions, however, head cocked to the left curiously as she watched him thoughtfully. Lyrics? That she could sing. Jumping up a little, she nodded.

"Yeah!" came the enthusiastic reply, though so shhe jumped over towards the now-sitting Leopard, jumping over the top of him, but not fully, collapsing on top of the male with a childish demeanor, front paws hanging over one side while her back paws were over the other. Another giggle came at the tune and lyrics.

"They sound silly."

This felt good, though. Dancing and singing and being a proper cub, instead of the thoughtful, serious one she usually was. Good thing her brothers weren't here to laugh at her for it, though. Frowning a little, she took a few moment to try think of a tune, before her face lit up and a sweet little, harmonious tune came from her jaw.

"Lions, Leopards and Cheetah's too, everyone loves me, so do you!"

The orange tabby male chuckled as the little femme collapsed over his back his dark eyes glimmering happily. "thats very good, with a beat like that in your head you'll never be sad or lonely, you just find it when ever you need it and dance." He flicked his long tail once again helping the yougster to get over his back with a gentle nudge of his nose.

"Hey thats a pretty rhyme, I'm sure everyone does love you." Her puurrs his lips turning in a rather foolish grin. "You know all songs start out with just one line then they grow, when you grow up big and strong you'll have a whole melody to sing your own cubs." He puurrs, his deep orange eyes smiling gently at the young female. He loved to teach young ones his ways, it wasn't like this world was his after all, there just needed to be others whom enjoyed music.

"So tell me do you know where I am? I'v been wandering for a few days, came all the way from the deep green jungle, the beats more like.." He takes a breath and purses his lips "Ahhhwheeee Eee a whimawambawhey! in the jungle." He chuckles. "Every place has it's own beat you just have to listen for it."

Azriell grumbled a little, kicking her bak legs to try get herself over, though trying not to hurt Beau at the same time. he was her new friend, after all - and friends didn't hurt each other. Unfortunately, the nudge that did get her over his back happened to be her foot colliding with his side, but it wasn't too hard, so she hoped it hadn't hurt. And dancing to her own beat? That sounded a little weird, but really fun.

Something between a smirk and a grin lit up the youth's face as it was mentioned that everyone loved her. of course they did - what was there not to love? And one line, then another, then another. As long as everything rhymed, the song would never end. It sounded really, really cool. A confused expression soon crossed the femme's face, however, as beau asked where he was.

"You're in the Pridelands, silly. Everybody knows the Pridelands."

Having taken a liking to Beau, perhaps a little more than she should've, Azi padded over, flopping to her belly beside the male, snuggling up a little. Hey, his coat was comfy and warm, after all.

The young leopard smiled, he hardly noticed the little femmes kick, though his eyes turned concernedly to make sure she hadn't hurt herself when tumbling over his back.

"The pridelands huh, this place has a great rythm." He puurrs his ears twitching spasmodically. Watching the little lioness curl up beside him he grinned and nudged her gently. "Maybe you should go back under your tree and resume your nap. I'll join you for a while, that tree looks sturdy enough to kip in."

He nosed at the young female gently helping her to her paws. "Come I'll sing you a lullaby so you can sleep."
PostPosted: Fri Dec 07, 2007 11:02 am

A great rhythm? She'd never tried to listen for a rhythm in her home. But then again, she'd never thought she could. As he nudged her a rather disgruntled grumble came from the young lioness, yet she obliged, pushing herself to her feet a little lazily, a small, confused from on her face as she padded carefully back over towards her tree. She liked Beau.

"What do you mean kip in? You can't sleep in a tree, silly." spoke the youngster, unaware that leopards did in fact sleep in trees. But the prospect of a lullaby brought a grin to the small girl's face, as she quickly found herself a comfy place to snooze, settling herself down and looking up expectantly, awaiting the lullaby.

The tabby male stretched himself a little before he ran up the trees trunk and settled himself upon the largest branch. He looked down at the little femme his lips pursed as he listened for a tune to sing to her. One came to him almost instantly and in a quiet, soothing voice he started to sing.

"Sleep my baby, sleep my baby,
dream of some where far away,
do you remember still,
how I hope you always will,
keep the memory of the day the world was born.

When you wake up I'll be waiting,
eagre for your smile,
you've had quite a journey darling,
you should rest a while."

He smiled lightly watching the young lioness with a cheerful smile, hopeing the gentle song would lull her to sleep.
