Last week I was confused about which of my many started books to finish, but I decided to take a break and read my book of Emily's poems. I've had this book for several years and haven't read them yet. Shameful, huh? We studied her work in college a few years ago so I am familiar with her poems.

So far I believe my favorite is still the poem which begins, "Because I could not stop for Death, he kindly stopped for me..." I'm still in the middle of the book and there's a chance this might change.

Does anyone here like Emily Dickenson?

I've been trying to get a hold of her complete works, but I haven't found one as of yet.

One of my personal favorites is "I died for beauty but was scarce".

I like Emily Dickenson But my favorite Poet is from maine and her name is Edna Saint Vincent Millay. One Goal I have is to memorize all of Edna's Poems And Then Recite them to my family.
My favorite poem by Edna St.Vincent Millay is the one called Exiled Which starts out something like this; Searching my heart for it's true sorrow, This Is what I find it to be. That I am weary of words and people. Sick of the City Wanting the Sea. That I think is the first Stanza of Exiled. You Should Check it out some time.

I enjoy her works, but I can never find a collection--only a few things of hers in anthologies.

I have a book of her complete works; it wasn't difficult to find online. Go to a major website that sells books (Borders and Amazon are the biggest American ones, aren't they?) and type "complete Emily Dickenson" into the search. It ought to give the results you seek without a problem. 3nodding

Emily tends to be famous for her more depressing or dark poems, however, I like her upbeat nature poems. Of course, I'm admittedly a fan of "because I could not stop for death" too. xd
