"We'll build housing dens here, and a birthing den here, and--" To say Sen was excited may have been more than a bit of an understandment. Finally, she and Yue were 'old enough'. Which, in turn, meant the pride could finally be rebuilt. (It annoyed her, just a little, her brother was bigger than her now. They'd been the same size for as long as she could remember! She'd just have to make up for it by being better than him at everything else.)

Sen didn't really hold the pride itself very close to her heart. Mwokoti was hoping, very desperately in fact, she one day would. For now, it was oh-so-obvious Sen's fascination with the issue was having her own comfy seat of power and endless attention. She could hardly wait until Mwokoti started dragging all those lions she'd mention to this place!

No sooner had her paws touched the soil of what was, eventually, going to be the sight of her pride (and Yue's pride, Mwokoti had to keep reminding her) than she was bouncing from place to place, rambling on what she intended the space in question to be used for, among other things. Mwokoti had been contently quiet so far, having learned by that point Sen was best left to burn her extra energy on her own.

Trying to settle her down? That wouldn't do anything but make it worse...

Yue had spent way too much time following his sister around. Sure, sure, they were rebuilding this nice huge prode for Mwokoti, probably in repayment for all the time she had to deal with him and Sen. But Sen was taking this way too seriously. For what reasons, now, Yue wasn't sure, but one thing he was sure of, was that he thought his sister was up to no good. But, of course, she was always up to no good.

With a sigh, he tuned off Sen in his head to turn his attention to Mwokoti. He, being a bit older and oh so much more mature, was actually starting to appreciate everything that she had done for the two of them. That didn't mean he still wanted to do this whole pride thing yet, though.

With a sudden jerk, though, he heard something that Sen mentioned. Birthing den? Hah! "What the hell, Sen, birthing den? What, are you carrying cubs already?"

The Goddess hadn't averted her eyes from Sen since they'd arrived. She was the one making all the noise, after all. She felt the other one of them looking at her, and glanced at him in an automatic sort of way. No sooner had she than he was focusing back on his sister and barking something that was sure to set her off on one of her rantings.

Mwokoti had just... grown used to having them around. It was foolish, and she knew it. That 'don't get attached to mortal' rule was a good one. She'd done so well for so long. She blamed it on a number of things, and assured herself daily when the pride was set up, she would leave and break any emotional bonds she had for the two...

She didn't want to say they were adults, because they weren't adults.

"That's gross, Yue! As if I could! You never get out of my face long enough for me to meet any males even if I wanted to! Besides, you know I'm not allowed to do that. And if I was, I still wouldn't, because all of you are stupid."

...Definately not adults.
PostPosted: Wed Nov 14, 2007 7:45 pm

Ohoho! Really, now? Well! Wasn't that swell?

"Y'know, Sen, if you'd just storm off right now, I'm sure I wouldn't follow after you like some clingy brother. 'Cause I'm not." He stuck his tongue out at her, just for old time's sake. Oh, it did feel good. He'd kept all his frustrations in for a bit too long, and it was all simmering over now. But now meant that he had the gall to say things to her, and not how he just kept everything in when they were younger.

"And me, stupid? Well, that'd make you stupid too, since we share genes and all," he said smugly, sure that he had a one-up on her. Spending so much time with her now had really rubbed off, and a bit of it showed. Just a bit.

"Plus you're sayin' all this stuff to me and Mwokoti, but I ain't takin' notes, 'cause we don't even have anyone here to use all this space we've got." He glanced around at the land that was 'in development', pretty much, for their pride. The three of them, making this into a place as settled as back home? Hah!

Sen shot him a disgusted look. How could he be so immature?! was the trail of thought that went right along with prompting the expression. She was not immature, because immature lions couldn't run prides. Yue was second in command, she hadn't forgotten. How could she when Mwokoti kept telling her over and over and over (and over) again? It was still only first that really mattered, and she was first. So there.

"I meant males were dumb, not that our family is dumb. The females among us are actually--" The adolescent stopped short. The pause lasted, literally, a spilt second. "...really smart." It wasn't that she missed that stupid family they'd left behind, because she definately did not miss those stupid, neglecting, moronic...morons! She was sick or something. (No, that couldnt' be it. No one as strong as her got sick. ...Moving on!) "There's no one here now, Goldy, but Mwokoti's bringing that huge family soon! Aren't you, Mwokoti?"

"They'll arrive here shortly, yes," the Goddess agreed. She'd prefer they kept her out of their little squabbles, but what could you do?

The look that Sen gave him made Yue feel like a winner. Sure, he didn't know everything that floated in that skull of her's, but he could still twist something into a win if he felt like it. With a grin, he stared her down as she kept spewing silly things at him. It was all fine and good 'til she used that nickname that he loathed. His grin quickly melted into a frown. And not a very small frown either.

"Don't," he growled, knowing that with his actions Sen would know why he was so upset. Stupid sister, always having to resort to stupid names. Not that he'd ever admit he would use them as well, never!

His gaze flicked away from Sen for a moment towards Mwokoti, then back to Sen. Suuure, they'd be here. He was actually getting a bit tired of just his sister entertaining him (surprise, surprise!), and someone else to talk to would be a blessing. Maybe in disguise, but a blessing none the less.

Yue would get what he hoped for, and when it was all over, he may come to wish he'd never hoped for it to begin with.

His bratty (Sen thought it was bratty anyhow) little growl didn't do much to lower his sisters mood, nor did the reminder of their abandoned family. No, nothing would ruin her mood today! But on one hand, she did feel a bit guilty for upsetting her brother. She nuzzled him half-playfully, and in an affection tone told him, "Don't be so touchy, Yue!"

Knowing Sen, she'd have said more, yet something caught her eye. She quickly spoke again, to no one's surprise. What she said was something of more interest than the other things she'd been rambling on about. "Hey...what's that?"

Quickly, she came to realize it wasn't a 'what' but a 'who'. A lioness, if her eyes weren't failing her. "What's she doing here?! Lions tresspassing on my pride already! Oooh, I'll go teach her a thing or too!" Fortunately, Sen had taken only a step forward before she could go nor further.

Mwokoti had placed a large paw on her tail and was straining to get a good look at the approaching soul as well. Who would be wandering around here...?

Yue wasn't sure what to think of it when his sister gave him a quick nuzzle, plus something that sounded a bit apologetic. A tiiiiiny bit, just in the tone. It was surprising how, though they still had their little fights, they had grown a bit more closer to one another through all this time alone. Not that Yue would ever admit it, but he wouldn't know what to do if his sister just up and left him. So much so that he couldn't actually imagine it ever, ever happening.

His eyes caught sight of what Sen saw, only after she had pointed it out. He didn't move forward, though; if it really was an 'intruder', shouldn't they try to like, get it on their side or something? They were a pitiful number of three, and really should work on growing their ranks soon.

He was curious as to why Mwokoti stopped her, though. Why? Normally she didn't do that, so...what was going on?

It was true their numbers weren't quite, er, fierce just yet. Sen still didn't worry, and she certainly, absolutely would not fear. Leaders had to brave! And besides, they had Mwokoti, who was a Goddess. If someone messed with them, someone Sen couldn't handle (not likely, thankyouverymuch), she could just... smite them. Or something.

Her sudden movement threw Sen off same as her brother. Her pale eyes flickered to the paw keeping her from progressing, than back to who it was they were keeping her from progressing to. The closer the lioness got, the wider Sen's eyes were. There was no denying a resembalance like that one!

"Why are you here?" Mwokoti venmously hissed at the 'intruder'. Said 'intruder' didn't seem all that effected, and took her sweet time in answering, stretching out both her front and back legs first.

"Don't be so mean. Can't I come visit the land I grew up in?"
PostPosted: Wed Nov 14, 2007 9:16 pm

Yue's eyes widened a bit as he saw what came into view. There really wasn't any denying to be had, the two looked so alike! Yue's gold eyes shifted from the lioness, to the goddess, and back to the lioness. His shock grew a bit into confusion, though listening to the words they exchanged. Mwokoti sure didn't seem pleased with the idea of this very similar looking lioness here. As well as the fact that she said she had grown up here. Wait, so with Mwokoti when the original pride was here, before the two of them were lead here to help rebuild it?

Yue was terribly, terribly confused.

As she often didn't, Mwokoti said nothing. She removed her over-sized paw from Sen's tail and settled with a leer too fierce to have not been practiced over many years. The former Pridelander could only tilt her head at all the going-on's.

...Oookay.

"You were part of the original pride?" she piped up. It was an attempt to break the tension around them. Sen was not good at getting rid of an uncomfortable atmosphere, just making it worse. The uneasy feeling in the air increased tenfold with that question, if only from Mwokoti's end. The similar lioness didn't seem effect at all.

"I did. This was my home. Mwokoti is my mother. And you're Sen, aren't you?" Her eyes flickered over a little. "And Yue."
PostPosted: Thu Nov 15, 2007 2:18 pm

Yue...didn't quite get it. The air around Mwokoti seemed to grow a bit cold, and he instinctively shifted just a biiit closer to his sister. Something was certainly shared between them, though how one took was apparent, the other...was not.

Though, his first thought on the new stranger was anything but good. Knowing his name, already? She sounded like some looney stalker.

His golden eyes averted away from her own, though, and back at his sister. His cubbish curiosity just couldn't be held back, though, and he blurted it out before he realized what he had said. "So, how do you know our names?" Oh god. Cover it uppp, fast, like an adult! "I mean, it's hardly fair for you to know ours, but we know nothing about you."

"Your mother?" To Sen, the fact this was Mwokoti's daughter was just as interesting as that she knew them both. It wasn't anything to make a big deal about. A lot of lions would know them pretty soon. She noticed Yue edging closer and rolled her eyes. Could he been any more afraid of girls? Damn.

"Simple, Cutie," said the nameless lioness to Yue. "The daughters and sons of a Goddess are seer. We see things sometimes. The past, present and future. Through that, we know things. We know a lot of things." Her eyes flickered to Mwokoti so quickly it was probable only the Goddess noticed. Sen certainly hadn't.

"A seer? Wow! That makes your son a seer, too doesn't it?" She faced Mwokoti, yet didn't give her enough time to even open her mouth before she was back on the look-alike.

"Harimuangu'Mlinda is my name, but you can call me Hari," the no-longer-a-stranger introduced. The name would have struck many as odd, but Sen found it amusing.
PostPosted: Thu Nov 15, 2007 2:44 pm

Yue felt like such a fool. Well, duh, of course! Not that he knew that Gods ever had mortal children, but that he still felt like there should of been some reason as to how she knew their names, but he couldn't figure it out. So much for him being all smart and stuff.

Continuing on, he felt like Sen was just taking charge and saying everything that needed to be said. So instead, he dared to inch back a bit closer to Mwokoti. "You don't seem pleased, Mwokoti," he whispered, hoping that this...Hari wouldn't pick it up. She didn't seem as bad as initially though, but Yue still wasn't convinced by her. It was probably the way Mwokoti was acting that threw him off. He did put a bit of trust in her judgement, though sometimes he'd write things off from her and his sister as just stupid woman things.

Never had the Goddess been so restless in front of the two of them. Mostly just Yue, since Sen was far too distracted with Hari to pay any mind to either of them. It was rare anyone really caught her attention, but when they did, they got all of it.

"I will not pass judgement on her, and neither should you," Mwokoti instructed Yue in a low voice. "There are some things in the past that I... am still unsure about. For the moment---"

"Hey!" Leave it to Sen to interupt. "Hey Yue, we got our first member! This is gonna be so awesome! We're converting lions already!" The adolescent laughed happily, really happily. Could life be better than this?
