Scratching fuzz that was growing on his chin and making a mental note to shave that night, Fiach sidled over to his desk. He couldn't resist a quick stretch and yawn before he sat down, a little more roughly than he intended. Rolling up the sleeves of his long sleeved dark gray shirt, he settled in behind his laptop and began to work.
A loud chirping noise erupted from the pocket of his baggy black pants, startling him from his work. Pulling out the palm pilot Adalia had given him, he noted that he had a meeting scheduled for that day. Frowning slightly that he had forgotten about it, he set the palm onto the table before rubbing his temples.
Sighing, he wished he'd kept some of the salve for his own face as the bruises began to ache once again. Fingering the penny whistle he kept about his neck, he vaguely wondered when the lady was going to arrive and caught himself staring in the direction of the door. He wasn't really paying attention, though, as his mind quickly wandered off elsewhere, leaving him staring almost zombie-like towards the doorway.

Alani stepped through the doorway shyly, quickly turning around and shutting it as quietly as she could behind her. She patted her behind, sure that some leaves and dust had managed to cling to her heavy cotton skirt. She wore a jacket and a scarf about her neck as well, her laptop tucked safely beneath one arm.
She turned around, tucking a strad of green tipped hair behind her ear as she looked up, startled and just a little creeped out by the glassy-stare she was recieving from some man sitting at a desk.
"Uhm.." She took a tentative step forward. "I'm here for an apointment..?"

Slowly the girl's mention of an appointment dragged Fiach out of his reverie. Nearly falling from his seat in embarrassment, he blushed a bright red, before clearing his throat. Quickly standing up, both to try to recover from his near spill and to greet the lady properly.
Inclining his head slightly, he quickly introduced himself. "My name is Fiach - I run this shop."
Taking a second look at the girl, he added an apology as well, he hadn't meant to startle her, after all. "I'm sorry, I was...sort of staring off into space while I waited for you...I didn't mean to startle you."
Gesturing towards the chair in front of his desk, he invited her to come and sit down and show him what the problem was.

Alani reached up to unwind the scarf from around her face, letting the sides droop over her shoulders as she walked over, her small boots clunking lightly against the floor. She sat down and placed her laptop on the table, opening it and turning it on.
"Well..." She wiggled a little in her seat, feeling a bit nervous. "I thought this was just a desktop pet that I had forgotten I'd downloaded but... Brad, uhm... Brad Lee told me that it was something called a Hacker? And told me to come here?"
She bit her lip, scrunching down in her seat. She felt embarassed and hoped that this man would know what she was talking about, least she sound like a loon.

A grimace flitted across Fiach's face, that he quickly tried to mask with a polite smile, at Brad's name. His ears perked at the mention of a hacker, though, and he gave her a quick, easy smile. With his deep, gentle lilt he did his best to reassure her.
"Ah, a Hacker. I can help you with that. What seems to be the problem with it?"
He tilted his head and made a slight movement to her laptop, as if he'd wanted to investigate the hacker himself, but quickly stopped. He threw her an uncertain glance, an unasked question, merely hovered there. Knowing that this girl knew Brad, the guy he'd had so much trouble with the first meeting, made him uncertain about what to do. He didn't know if she'd snap at him like he did - or if Brad would snap at him for talking to he if he said something wrong.
Clearing his throat, he politely asked, "May I see the hacker?" If he knew what he was dealing with, it would be much easier to answer her questions.

Alani didn't notice any change in expression, smiling and nodding at him as he reached for her computer. She nudged it lightly toward him so he could see it better and have access. "I've got nothing to hide."
She sat back in the chair, speaking in a soft voice. She felt like she had to whisper for some reason, perhaps it was the atmosphere. "Well... it's just a cute egg. It's not like the one Brad showed me, Night, I think?" She brought her thumb up to her chin, eyes brightening shyly. She dipped her head slightly, trying to hide the slight flush on her cheeks. "Will it grow to be like that one?"
Honestly she thought Nigh had been one of the cutest things she'd seen...

Grateful the girl hadn't noticed his wince, he leaned down and looked for the hacker on the desktop. As she said it was merely an egg, he gave a little shrug and stood up straighter. It wasn't completely necessary to see it, if it was an egg.
Tilting his head at the mention of Brad and his hacker, he slowly nodded. "I think the hacker's name was Nigh - and yes, your hacker will grow into one like him someday."

Alani nodded, holding her hands in her lap shyly. She looked at the stranger uncomfortably for a few moments. "Uhm... is there.. will my computer be okay? I have to keep installing World of Warcraft.."
She didn't know what to say, really... Brad had been the one who told her she should come here, and so she'd made the appointment. "Is there anything special I have to do..?"

Tilting his head with a slight frown on his face, Fiach eventually shook his head. "If you just let the Hacker know that you'd rather it not touch World of Warcraft, you should be all right." Pausing for a moment as he scratched his chin again, he slowly straightened to his full height in a sort of half hearted stretched. "As for doing anything special...you should probably create files for it to eat. Hackers eat data, and if you give them something tasty and unimportant to eat -- and let them know that's what you want them to eat -- you should be fine."
Smiling at the woman, he hoped he'd been a help and that he wouldn't get yelled at later. He really did hate confrontations these days - especially if the guy was around his size. Which, Brad unfortunately was. He suddenly realized that he hadn't confirmed whether her computer would be okay or not and gave a slight laugh. "To your first question..yes. Your computer will be just fine. You just have to establish some rules with your Hacker and everything should be just fine."
Moving to sit back in his chair behind the desk, he politely waited to see if there were any other questions she might have to ask of him.

Alani nodded, hesitantly standing. "Ah... okay." She awkwardly stuck out her hand, blushing in her embarassment. "I guess... I'll be going?" She lightly drew her laptop closer to herself, moving to shut it.
"Uhm... thank you very much.. I hope this hasn't been a waist of your time for such a short visit..."

Smiling pleasantly, Fiach stood up and accepted the girl's hand. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Miss Alani." Meeting Alani had gone a lot better than it had when he'd met Brad. He wondered how the two got along, when their attitudes were so different. Adding a slightly belated, "Don't worry, it wasn't a waste of time at all." he smiled and sat back down. He had a lot of work left to do before the day was through, but he thought to use the rest of the allotted time for Alani's appointment for some fun.
