It was a rather bad day that afternoon, the dark grey clouds crowding the sky. It almost looked like it was about to rain...which made it a perfect day to visit the mall. Oliver had come with Kami and a few of his 'siblings', and now he was roaming about with Kazuo, one of his mother's many charges, an older boy who tended to help with the youngsters.
The little camel was a little sad that Trace hadn't been able to come, but it was probably a better idea not to bring a baby dragon into a mall. So he had planned to bring him back a little present, perhaps, along with some of the holiday gifts he was planning to buy for friends, and some family. He peered into a little store full of toys and knick knacks, not yet noticing the piercing parlor and jewelry boutique a bit further up ahead. When he did see it, he smiled some. It might be a good place to look for a gift for his mother, and a female friend he had spoken with not long ago.

Zyan was wearing her usual attire this day. Short skirt, thin top with a brightly colored bra underneath. Today though she wore knee socks, the weather was getting nasty out and she hated not only rain but the cold as well.
Her hair was iron board straight draping past her shoulders in which she tucked some strands behind an ear whilst she peered through the glass window looking at some new earrings to get. She already had three holes. Two in her lower lobes and one in the cartilage on her right ear. She was thinking maybe a belly button ring this time... But she still wasn't sure.
She had left Hinder in the food court, since she knew the dragon would be pleased to try and swindle food offering off little kids who approached him. He certainly was a mooch... for a green dragon. Never mind that he thought he was being crafty and sneaky but tricking little tykes into giving up their food, Zyan just was glad he had something to preoccupy himself while she looked at the jewelry.

Oliver wandered into the store, glancing about idly. He wasn't embarrassed about going into the slightly girly shop, as he wanted to find a nice Christmas present for his mother. Some of his 'siblings' had teased him about shopping so early, but he was old enough to remember previous years, and he wasn't going to go through that little hell again.
After a few moments of looking about, however, he caught sight of the unusual girl, peering around an aisle and smiling a little, certain it was another D-corp like himself. Although shy, he couldn't pass up the chance to say hello, as he rarely saw other kids outside classes, unplanned.
"Hello there!" he said amiably as he approached, trying not to feel intimidated by the girl's slightly...fierce appearance. He could tell she was a kind of insect but wasn't sure what kind exactly. "You're another D-corp, aren't you?" he asked, hoping he wasn't mistaken. "I saw and figured I'd say hi." he explained, hoping his random greeting wouldn't irritate her.

Hearing someone address her she tilted her head to look at who dared to approach. But she noticed it was a boy, a strange looking boy who must be appart of D-corp and relaxed slightly. Though slightly annoyed that her appearance didn't seem to intimidate people enough she made a mental note to take it up a notch the next time she went out.
"Hey," she replied not sounding mad, but rather in a bored tone. "Yes I am from D-corp...you must be as well." she replied in a matter of fact way straightening from her peering through the glass window and turning to face him. Her antenna swiveled to take in the boys scent. He should be lucky he was a boy, she generally was nicer to men than women.
Her extra appendages creaked at her side, she was rather intimidating without the punk like clothes but she only wished to enhanced the image further.
"What DNA type are you?" she asked as she really couldn't figure out what the kid was. Her face had softened some, though her eyes still held a glint of impish delight.

Oliver had indeed been a little intimidated, but he'd been working on trying to be a little more outgoing lately. Oliver himself was dressed in jeans, and a an orange shirt. It wasn't like Oliver to dress very intricately, and he loved casual clothing.
"Hey! Yes, I am. It's nice to see someone outside of class." he added, smiling and nodding to her as she turned to him, glancing at her legs as they shifted on her sides, observing her now that she was standing. Very interesting indeed.
"Camel, actually." He said, turning to show his hump, and give a weak chuckle. "And...what about you? An insect, apparently, but what type?" he asked, leaning to peer at her wings. He found insects in general to be quite interesting, and had never met a child with that sort of DNA before.

Unless she had been completely un-observant while in her classes she didn't think she had ever seen this kid in any of the ones she had taken. As the boy leaned in her legs clicked again moving as if anticipating an attack, but they remained at her sides. Her wings flared up slightly as if to show off.
A camel? She had never quite seen a kid like that before...kinda reminded her of that character in one of the movies she watched...the hunch back..of something or other.
"I'm an Indian Flower Mantis." she answered proudly, she was indeed very proud of her DNA type, her faned out her wings to give the boy a better look. Now...she WAS showing off. Perhaps flirting a bit as well.

((x_x I'm so sorry for leaving this off this long, Jayoku. Hope you can forgive me.))
Oliver knew he had never seen her in any of his own classes, the few of which he'd had. But he couldn't ignore another D-corp kid, especially one with such cool DNA. "Indian flower mantis... I've seen normal mantids, but never one of those. I'll have to look it up sometime." he said with a little smile. They had a few mantids in their own garden, but none of them had stripes like she had.
"Wow! Your wings are really pretty." he complimented as she fanned them out, leaning his head to look, though he didn't get much closer after her legs began to click. He knew some people didn't like their personal space to be invaded.

Compliments would get you everywhere with the girl, she gave the boy a devilish smile as she turned like a model to show off her wings more. They were one of her pride and joys, though she couldn't actually fly with them, more like burst speed. Or having a jet pack strapped to your back.
The side legs creaked a bit as they moved, she liked looking scary, but enjoyed being referred to as pretty as well.
"I havn't seen you around D-corp before, don't you go to classes?" she asked wondering if this shy guy was all an act and he actually was a rebel who refused to participate in classes.

Oliver chuckled as she turned, and enjoyed the view of the intricate wings she possessed. "I don't suppose you can fly, can you?" he asked, unsure. They didn't seem large enough to support her, but it certainly would be something. He rather envied the children with wings, and often wondered what it would be like to fly.
"Actually, I'd sort of been avoiding classes because they missed me for vaccinations somehow, but I just got in and got them recently, so I'm gonna be going regularly now." he said with a nod. "Maybe I'll see you in a class or two." he said with a grin. She looked scary, yes, but he could tell that she wasn't a mean person, someone he might want to make friends with.

Zyanya shook her head at his question.
"Think more like hovering burst speed. I can't fly fly though." SHe explained with a non-chalant wave with her black nail polished hand.
"OH yeah? Heh when I went for vaccincations my skin was so thick they had to use a special needle. " She boasted showing him her arm were they had put the needle. THere wasn't any marks it had been a long time since she had gotten the needle.
"Heh, I will warn you about Mr. Barkhelm can read minds!" She said with a dramatic voice, for it was true and she hated it. She was slowly getting over the intimidationt he teacher caused her. Then again it had been a while since she had seen him.

"Oh. Well that's still pretty cool." he said with a nod, trying not to feel too envious. He may not have been able to fly, but he knew he had his own skills. He smirked a little when she showed him her arm, and rubbed his own. "Wow. Did it hurt much? They had to shave a spot on my arm, but the fur has grown back mostly." he said, rubbing the spot.
"A mind reader? Seriously?" Oliver looked surprised. "What class does he teach? Sounds crazy...but I guess it shouldn't be so surprising. My mom says I have to take magic classes soon. Fighting too..." he mused, both excited and a little worried. He wasn't sure he wanted to learn to fight. He was interested about the magic, however.
