The Alternate Gender permission thread has been scrapped because it is no longer needed - characters falling under Cosplay can only exist once, Wildlife/Art/Species fall under their own rule and do not require permission either.

Recently a rule was added after the constant nagging of the soquili community. It is to clarify the issue of two cosplays of the same character existing but of another gender.

21. Another cosplay version of the opposite gender can be created with permission from the cosplay's owner.
In one such case two versions of the same cosplay were created. This is Starlite, Rainbow Brite's horse. I believe that the male Starlite was created with permission from the other cosplay owner. In the future if you want a female or male version of a already created cosplay you need to get permission from the owner. The male/female version, if permission was granted, has to look different from the other. The hair needs to be styled different, clothing differently-maybe in another outfit of the character, etc. The same colors can be allowed of course. I doubt anyone would want to give permission for a male or female version of their character but this option is open in case anyone is.

DO NOT PM AN OWNER ASKING FOR THEIR PERMISSION. If they have not posted here, it means they have not granted permission!! Those who harrass an owner via PMs or in any shop related threads asking for permission may be greylisted and repeat violators will be blacklisted from the shop.

exclaim You can't grant permission to just one person to use your cosplay as another gender. It has to be for everyone. No one can call dibs on the cosplay of the opposite gender either. They only get it if they were the first to get the pet in a paying slot.

If your cosplay is co-owned, all owners must post to sign the agreement.

If someone gets a cosplay of your pet of another gender, your post of permission will be deleted. When ordering a pet via custom slots provide this thread in your post so the colorist can see that permission was granted for the cosplay of another gender you ordered.
