And the field is...
A large wheel began to spin above the stands. The crowd watched with excitement as it slowed...and finally stopped. The battlefield would be the...
Rock field!
Tremors rippled forth from center-field as the basic floor shifted to a rock and dirt field, rock towers jutted forth from the ground to offer a place of escape or an attack advantage. The breeze from the stadium air conditioners stirred the loose sand on the field, this creates a mini sandstorm that could possibly blind those who were battling.

Let the battle begin!
An announcer wearing a brown camo jumpsuit stepped onto the platform. He nodded to both of the trainers. He then began calling out the match rules.
"This will be a battle between Jen's Aeon and Kali's Ziku. There is no time limit. The match will begin when both sides are ready!"
He rose his two flags.
"Begin when ready!"
The two flags flew downward and the match was on!

"Alright Ziku, are you ready for another battle? This one will be hard!"
Ziku grinned and nodded. He jumped to the ground and crouched down, ready to fight. He was excited to fight Aeon, even if he wasn't expecting to win. Just watching Aeon fight was a treat, but being the opponent? He was planning on watching closely for some battle tactics he could pick up.
"It's nice to see you again Jen!" Kali called out. "I haven't seen you since the caravan trip!"

Jen grinned and tossed a friendly wave at Kali from across the field. "It's great to see you too, it's bit a while, hasn't it?"
Aeon bounded forward and stared at Ziku with his battle-ready position, the Raichu himself getting down on all fours and pawing at the ground. He cocked his head and stared at the pikachu with his one good eye, he grinned at his junior.
"Alrighty! Let's start this then!"

"Alright Ziku, let's go!"
Ziku jumped foward and began running toward Aeon. He glanced up and saw a rock pillar just up ahead. He headed toward it and quickly climbed to the top. Aeon was just below, so he jumped down and prepared a slam attack with his tail. Just when he neared the ground, a mini sandstorm swept by and hid the raichu from view.

Using the blown sand to his advantage, Aeon jumped, dodged the attack, and used his Double Team technique to split into multiple copies. As the sand cleared, it seemed as though there were several Raichus standing in various places around the field.
"Not bad, Kali! Not bad for a first move!" Jen grinned as her eyes flicked towards the real Aeon on the field before glancing back at her fellow trainer. "Now, it's our turn! AEON, Use Giga Impact!"
The copies disappeared as the real Aeon leap upwards from a nearby pillar. Tail blazing a golden color, he flipped and slammed it into the ground; this created a powerful shockwave that spread in all directions acroos the field as a crater formed where the Raichu had landed.

"Thanks, but he's still getting the hang of it." She then turned to her pokemon. "Don't give up Ziku!"
Ziku landed on the ground and blinked as the sand cleared. By the time he realized what was going on, a huge shockwave that seemed to come from multiple raichus was coming toward him. He didn't have enough time to react, so it quickly smashed into him. He flew backward, but ended up bouncing off of a nearby pillar.
"Try a thunderpunch!"
Using the extra speed gained from the pillar, he flew toward Aeon. Ziku's fist crackled with electricity as he tried to hit him.
HP: 700/800

Aeon stood firm and took the punch with nothing more than a slight grunt; he wouldn't deny it, the little guy packed quite a bit of hit. But this wasn't over!
Grabbing Ziku by the arms, Aeon held him in an iron grip while awaiting the formal command from Jen:
"Toss him with a Strength Attack!"
With a heave, the Raichu sent the smaller pokemon flying towards his owner trainer while Aeon bounded backwards a few feet to ready for any counter-attack.

Ziku gasped as Aeon suddenly caught him. Had his attack even hurt him? Before he knew it, the ground went flying as he was thrown hard. Luckily for Kali, he landed before crashing into her. He shook and got back on his feet. It looked like a frontal attack wouldn't work this time.
"Try a Dig!"
Ziku quickly burrowed under the ground and headed toward Aeon through small tunnels. After listening for any movement above, he crashed above ground, hopefully under the raichu.
