~*~

I have been wondering if anybody in the guild play any video games.

What is your favorite game?

Favorite gaming console? (No console wars please.)

Your favorite Multiplayer?

~*~

I grew up playing all the classic super nintendo games. (You can say I was a nintendo fanboy when I was small.)

Zelda & Mario were the both games that I grew attached to. I enjoyed those two games a lot.

But as soon as the technology kept on advancing for the two major companies. Sony and Nintendo; Thus finding out about the games that were going to have an impact in my life. (Then later it would be Microsoft.)

In 1997 while I just bought my first playstation 1. I came across a swap meet. To find a video game that would later change the face of rpgs. It was none other than Final Fantasy 7.

I thought it was going to be a same old rpg but I was wrong. ( I deserve a slap to the face just for calling FF7 a same old rpg. I really do.)

That game changed my life on how I view video games.

But it was not only FF7.(Sorry FF7 but you can't hog all the glory.) It was many Nintendo & Sony games that came out that changed my view completely.

At first they were there just to kill the boredom that used to plague me. But now there a piece of well created art. The storyline, emotions of the character's, music and scenery. I don't think of any game as just as a boredom killer anymore. Even a game can make a person show anger, sadness, laughter. They have the power to move us emotionally. (Trust me I shed some tears when Aeris Gainsborough died.)

~*~

As games and console kept on upgrading.

New games have been coming out that has been taking the breath of many people. (including myself.)

To this date I own two of the current consoles a ps3 & xbox 360. (The Wii isn't one of them crying )

( I have a very long list of games that have made a great impact on me but I won't add them. The list is very large.)

~*~

Go on and let out your joy and displeasure of video games. There are games that we all have fallen in love with and there are those that we just don't like.

Don't hesitate to post here.

You know you want to. *nudge*

Weeee~

XD When I was smaller, all I used to play were the old Spyro games. Nowadays, my brothers are on the playstation so much that I can't remember the last time I got to play Kingdom Hearts ;___; I never even FINISHED that game....

I'm also fond of DS Games though, especially stuff like Wario Ware. The Naruto games on it are pretty poor, though .___. The Ninja Council series was just a disappointment.

It has to be hard not being able to finish KH.

Aww...spyro and ape escape. Now those two games were fun to play when I was a kid. I still like them.

I have been a long time fan of square soft before they merged with enix. I still like them.

What made me love square soft(aka Square Enix) was the rpg style but with FF12 I was very disappointed. Don't get me wrong. The scenery & story was excellent but I just didn't like the gameplay.

But an upcoming game for the xbox 360: Lost Odyssey is going to revive my passion for good old rpg style.

(The person behind this game is none other than the father of Final Fantasy. Sakaguchi Hironobu *spazzes*...excuse me. sweatdrop I have been a big fan of his work. )

I wish I had a 360 T__T I want Assassin's Creed.

I think my first game was something like SuperSmash Brothers or Mario Cart.

Nintendo games were my favourite at first.
My friend and I would play Yoshi Story, Hey You! Pikachu, Pok'emon Snap (I think that was the name)... and stuff like that. xD;
I didn't like PS2 games all that much, and I hated XBox. (And still do. Sorry, but I can't figure out the controls for the life of me. gonk I've tried many a time, and how to use it still eludes me to this day)

Then Kingdom Hearts came along, and the PS2 became more interesting to me. (Though I never really got into Kingdom Hearts itself until KH2 was about to come out)
And I didn't get into Final Fantasy until FFX-2. My friend was just playing it one day and I instantly fell in love with it. (It's still one of my favourite games) Then that made us curious about FFX, and somewhere along the way we picked up FFVII and FFVIII.
Personally, I did not like those games so much. FFVIII was fun, but about mid-way it gets harder because you have to start depending on junction more. And, unfortunately, I learned that the hard way. >>
As for FFVII, I'm sure it was a great game in it's time, but it did not capture me when I played it years after its release. sad

I got Final Fantasy XII the Christmas after it was released (I guess that would be about a year ago), and I'm STILL playing it. D; *has about 100+ hours on her file*
It is VERY different from other Final Fantasy games. So much that it's hard to believe it is FF.
The battles system is different, the music is different, the story is different, the characters are different, the art is different... But in it's own way, it's a good game. The only thing that really irks me are the areas.
They're friggin' HUGE! D; It takes HOURS to get through ONE area on your first time there. It's even a tedious task just to walk between shops in the towns sometimes.
While the game can be really fun while the storyline is moving, it gets very boring while it's not. ^^; Which is the reason why it's taking me so long to finish. I can't keep my interest in the game for very long periods of time.
Another thing I don't generally like about FFXII are the summons.
They're very pretty! But the majority are also pretty useless. Unless of course they can surivive long enough in battle to use their final attack, then you've got some pretty spiffy fireworks going there. C:

ANYway, enough about Final Fantasy.

Other games I love is Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, and it took me forever to buy, but eventually I got it for myself and it's totally worth it. I just love the battle system and the storyline. C: The characters are okay... I like Albel and Fayt. ^^;; The other characters I mostly like for their battle skills... even then, there are some I don't.
Cliff for example... I don't know if this goes for any game, but in my game, when Cliff's MP falls below 50% he stops fighting. Him and Mirage both. Is it like, a Clausian thing or something? Because I HATE it. So I just don't use them. gonk
Adray is another one I pretty much just keep to the back of the boat. Any cool move he's got, Sophia's got too. But Sophia's faster, has better defense, and is stonger (magic-wise). So yeah... >>;;
I really like Peppita... but she's weak. Same with Roger. Except I don't like Roger. >>;;;

Uhh... xD;

I already mentioned KH, but when I did finally play it, I loved it. KH2... not so much. But It was awesome to have Riku fighting at your side! ^__^
I bought KH2 as soon as it came out, and finished it within the week. Then bought KH the same time I got Star Ocean.
I've wanted to play Riku's side in KH:CoM, but I cannot play with the card system on a GBA. >>
If the PS2 version of CoM ever comes to America, someone must tell me if the battle system is easier to play on a PS2 controller.

KH: 358/2 Days makes me want a GBDS more than ever now!!
I'm already missing out on the cool new pokemon games, it breaks my heart knowing I'll miss a KH game, too. (Birth by Sleep and Coded doesn't interest me as much, as you can see)

Ahem... I think I ranted a bit much... Sorry.

I grew up with that old Sony game system. With Jurassic Park, Mickey's Bean Stalk Adventure, etc.

And of course, my trusty Playstation. I lived on Spyro during those days. And Crash too.

Next was Gameboy Color I played mostly the original pokemon games. Ya know, Red and Yellow.

Then, The Nintendo 64 came out. I THRIVED on a Zelda game my friend got me. My first one. <3 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Super Smash brothers was a fave as well. Then, Pokemon stadium came out and I equally thrived on that. I also rented Pokemon Snap, Yoshi's Story, and Kirby : The crystal shards from blockbuster. Sadly, they do not sell or rent off these oldies anymore.

As new systems came out, I stuck with the old. I now have a Nintendo Game Cube complete with Tales of Symphonia, a wonderful RPG where the lines of good and evil blur dramatically, Harvest Moon : Magical Melody and A Wonderful Life, Pokemon DX : Gale of Darkness, Pokemon: Colosseum, and many others.

I also have a Playstation 2, which has been used with old playstation games and Kingdom Heart. I beat the game. It's wonderful. I tried getting the secret ending but no dice. D: Fortunately, it also plays moosic.

This is my video gaming life. xD

First video games ever played: Super Mario World and Mortal Combat on Super Nintendo. x3

My favorite games have to be Kingdom Hearts, FFIX & FFVI [the only Final Fantasy games I played so far honestly]. KH 1 & 2 were really fun. I love how they added Final Fantasy & Disney characters~ <3

I really don't care if I haven't played all the Final Fantasies-- FFIX is my absolute favorite one. It just so upsetting to see a lot of FF fans hating FFIX. Dx As for FFVI, I absolutely love it. There's just something about it that makes it so awesome. And I fell in love with the opera scene in the game due to watching it over and over again D: <33

Annnd...that's all. I do play other games but these are pretty much the ones I obsess about~~

Eskimo of Doom
I wish I had a 360 T__T I want Assassin's Creed.

It's coming out for the PS3 also.

Now that Sony decided to lower the price of the PS3 it's very affordable. But the downside of that priced cut PS3.

No backward compatibility. So you won't be able to play PS2 games.

Sooner the xbox 360 will be reliable to get after they install the new 65nm falcon chips(cooler, smaller, hopefully more reliable CPUs.) So there isn't going to be that many RROD. (Red Rings of Doom.) *shivers*

It's good to see that there are other people in the guild than me that love to play video games.

I was a Nintendo baby. We didn't have a console at home, but whenever we went to my cousins for the summer, we'd waste away on all their Mario games and some other fighting games I can't even remember now. I remember loving Super Mario World - I still do.

Right now, I'm still hung over the kid stuff - I play Super Mario (all sorts), a couple of Naruto games, Harvest Moon, and those 1000 games in 1 stuff on our GBA SP. I like Guilty Gear XX and Rave Master too.

We used to have a Playstation I console, but it got ruined before I could go beyond the two games we had in the house - Monkey Magic (I told you - kid stuff) and Need For Speed II. I wish we had taken better care of it...

Anyway, I'm more of an arcade girl now. I play a lot of Project Justice, Guilty Gear XX, and Samurai Shodown. I'm a fan of the story line, and the general bang-bang smashy-smashy of versus games. I wish they'd get the Narutimate games on arcade already...

Ahhh...Arcade games.

Now that brings back good times.

Hello Tenshi-san 3nodding

Every time when my friend's come over I would always beat them on capcom vs snk2.

Guilty Gear is a good game.

I haven't had the chance to play Guilty Gear XX.

I also like fighting games. But it's more fun when you always win with the special moves.

Also a hack & slash fan of Dynasty Warriors.

I've never played any of the Guilty Gear games, but I've heard that they are good, and they have some rather.....unique characters to say the least. xd

Omg. I love video games. <3333

My favorites are Kingdom Hearts I and II, Final Fantasy X and X-2, Metal Gear Solid II, and Mario Kart for the Nintendo 64. 4laugh

If I had to choose one, it would probably be Kingdom Hearts II. <3 Obviously I'm a huge KH fan, but gaaah~ I thought KHII was so awesome with Organization XIII and Sora, Riku, and Kairi's new looks - AND THE FIGHTING SYSTEM~ <333 And there was no Tarzan or Alice in Wonderland. xD Gawd. How I hated those placed. Some of the worlds in KHII were a disappointment to me, personally, though. The Lion King being one of them. ;o; It wasn't as fun as I'd hoped it would have been.

And was I the only one to notice how DEPRESSING all the male characters were!? xDD It annoyed me a little.

Omg. The last world was my favorite out of all of them. <333 That cool dark city, and then that huge castle~ *-*

>> I call myself a Final Fantasy fan when I've only played X, X-2, and XII. .-.;

I'd probably like FFXII more if only it didn't take so long to level up. Dx I got the game last Christmas and I have STILL yet to beat it. I mean, I love challenging games, but good grief. xD

Aaaah, Metal Gear Solid II. <333 I first watched my brother play it, and then I tried to. I was only around 11 or 12, so of course I sucked at first. xD But then I became a better player than him. >3 The game is so much fun, though, I think. Although I preferred the second part of the game over the first. And the ending.. holy CRAP. xD The first time I saw it, it scared me to death. xDD Anyone who's played the game will know what I'm talking about. xd

Lastly, Mario Kart 64.. I kick a** as Yoshi. >w<

>> My favorite gaming console would have to be Playstation 2. <3 And I've never played any.. MMO.. so of course I don't have a favorite. xD

Nyeh. Video games are so much fun~ Some others I've played that I've also liked are.. some Nascar game for PS2, where I had SO much fun going backward on the track and slamming into other cars.. Super Smash Brothers or whatever for Nintendo 64, where I pwned everyone with Pikachu.. Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Stadium, A Bug's Life.. The Lion King game for teh ancient SUPER NINTENDO.. gah. And so many others. <3

.. I'm just going to shut up now. xD;
