So, I'm one of those weird people who don't watch TV -- we haven't watched TV in about 5 years, so we finally canceled our unused satellite service. Mostly, our friends tell us what's good and then we buy or Netflix the DVDs.
Now we're watching season 1 of Heroes, via Netflix. It's awesome! We've seen the first two episodes. The problem is, it takes *three whole days* to get the next disc! WAAAAAAH! But if we like the show as much after the next disc, we're just going to go out and buy the DVD set.
The other problem is that I've had to swear myself off the web now. I went looking for a piece of information and landed on a site, and the first phrase of the first sentence on the site spoiled a major plot point for me. sad
It's not their fault, of course. THEY are in the second season and what's on their site is common knowledge to them. But sigh...

Eveyone's been talking a lot about heroes, I watched some of the first season but haven't since then.

The show was made for me and my husband. We both love superhero comics and stuff like that. (We're real Marvel fans. My husband likes DC, though I'm not fond of their work.) The movie Mystery Men is our favorite, because it's all about the disadvantaged, little-guy superhero.
I love the whole idea of regular people getting powers. My favorite character in Heroes (at least after two episodes) is Peter, though I know there's more to him than we know so far (he was part of the spoiler that I saw).

I should get to watching it.
That's too bad about the spoilers : / spoilers suck.

We bought the Season One DVD set and watched the whole thing -- stayed up until 4:00 am to finish it. It's wonderful! And Milo Ventimiglia is a babe. wink
I definitely recommend it to anyone who can tolerate at least a little sci-fi/fantasy (my mom would have hated the show -- she couldn't stand anything that wasn't realistic).
