Has anyone seen this masterpiece of a show? A local university put it on and I saw it last Saturday...and I was in stitches. It's three actors (2 male 1 female) performing shortened versions of EVERYTHING Shakespeare did. Of course, it's comedy, with male/male Romeo and Juliet with Romeo being dubbed "Butt Love", etc. Othello is performed as a rap, there's king crown football, audience participation for Hamlet, and so on. It's just SO amazing. If you haven't seen it, try to sometime~

Reduced Shakespeare! one of the best plays ever. I saw them on West End. I'm a little curious how the one you saw managed it with a female tho? the original is 3 guys and a lot of the jokes are about how they're guys playing girl roles...still its a great show smile

The DVD that the Reduced Shakespeare Company has of the original performance is GREAT. I actually plan on applying to work for them sometime in the near future.

"Yo this is a story bout a brother named Othello, He likes white women, and he likes green Jello. . . ." LOL

We did it at our High School. We had to use different actors for different sections, though. I was in Hamlet. It was one of the most fun shows I've ever done!

We did this for our drama final and like ^ said, we had to divvy up the parts so everyone got to do it. It was hilarious, though. We had guys doing Romeo and Juliet, and it was soo funny because one night Ryan (Juliet) forgot to die, so Gravy (Romeo. and don't ask about the nickname) just kinda fell over. I was in Hamlet as Laertes, and it was a lot of fun. I've seen it performed, too, and loved it then. And, of course, the DVD is amazing.
