Leaves are rather fun things to play in, or for Hema the are. The sparklie orange, turquoise, and silver filly was playing in the fallen leaves. They were everywhere, and proved to be very entertaining. The most exciting part was when she'd buck, they'd fly up in the air and slowly come back down again. Though, some dropped faster then others from water and mud that was stuck to them.
Her hooves and part of her legs were covered in mud as well, though she didn't noticed. Mother would clean them off later. Her wings were stretched out as she kicked her back legs at the leaves. It made things more fun. She was getting use to them, and her mother had said it was almost time for her to learn to fly. Of course, she thought she was ready. She'd learn soon enough. She was already flapping them at the same time, rather it being all hectic.
She moved around the tree to where ever the pile of leaves when that she kicked. Once in a while, she'd have to stop completely and try to gather up the leaves to make a pile again. Though, it wasn't too hard. It just took too long. She had figured a way around that. With so many trees around, she could just switch to each tree. Makes everything easier. The sun was up, but hidden behind some trees. The air was slightly cold, telling one that winter was just around the corner.

Houndoom was close enough to the edge of the forest to catch the slim fingers of the early morning sun when he had begun another day of exploring this vast new land. Each one touched Houndoom with new warmth, and he looked up at the pale blue sky between the trees with a rush of excitement. It had been growing in him ever since he set off at first light.
On his explorations he had met a number of soquillis. He was paticularly happy that day as he thought of his new friends.
Walking on, he heard the sound of crunching leaves and went forward to see what was happening. It was a filly! Sparkling orange, turquoise and silver! Houndoom was shocked and happy at the same time, he had found another foal! But out of the blue the filly flapped her wings.
Now this action shocked houndoom quite well, for he had not seen a bird horse before. He trotted to behind a tree and observed this odd little filly.

Hema hadn't noticed the adult horse hide behind a tree watching her play in the leaves. She stopped to catch her breath. It was hard work bucking a lot. She folded her wings back in as well. It made her even more tired that she flapped her wings as she did that. But, it was good workout for them.
She peered around, wondering if there was anything to do before moving on. This place seemed so nice. But she froze. She saw red eyes looking at her. Frightened, yet also curious. Though, she could not move. It was like she was glued to the spot. She couldn't even talk. She simply just stared back at the creature that was watching her from behind a tree.

Houndoom watched the filly intently, watching as she closed her wings and noticed him and stared with pale blue eyes. Startled that he had been found, he stepped forward and dropped into a deep bow like he always did.
"i'm sorry little one... i did not mean to spy or anything of that sort. I was just attracted to your wings." he said calmly to her, eyes searching for fright or shock. There seemed to be some, but not short of curosity too.
Deep down in his heart he chuckled at the young one. The last foal he met was similar.

He was going to eat her! She just knew it! She still couldn't move except that some how her body lowered to the ground just a bit, her ears where back and she was wide eyed. Her moth opened just a bit, though she couldn't make any noise. Was this what her mother warned her about. He was so huge. Black and brown with red eyes, and horns. She could only notice his face at the moment.
She was too young to die! "P-p-please....." She started finally being able to say something. It wasn't like her voice... It was all shaky and quiet. "D-don't.... e-eat me" She said Her silver eyes looking into his red ones. She could feel her heart beating fastly. It felt like it was about to pop out of her chest. Her body began to quiver with fear.

Houndoom looked at her for a few short moments, eyes wide and jaw dropped. He then closed his mouth... and laughed so hard that his sides hurt! It was the silliest thing he ever heard!
He swayed sideways while he laughed and even bucked. " Hahahahahaha! Eat you! Dear god... I'm no kalona! Hahahahahaha! " Once again deep down he felt as though his heart was being tickled...

The situation didn't get better when he started to laugh. In fact, she thought that made him even scarier. He was going to enjoy eating her. She could see his teeth. He was going to do it soon. She closed her eyes and was laying on the ground with her head close to the floor. Wings hiding her legs as if it'd help.
Kalona? What was that? She opened her eyes. So, he wasn't going to eat her? She looked at him. He was still scary. She looked at him with curiosity now, though was still a little worried he might eat her.

Houndoom saw that the little filly was scared out of her wits and sat down. He knew saying anything would be bad so he just sat down and looked another ways, abandoning the chat he had tried to summon up. The tickling in his heart died.
He glanced back and saw her looking at him with curiosity and so he rolled an apple , which he had found the day before , over to her. Like a peace offering. He hoped dearly that she wouldn't think that it was poisened.

She didn't really know what an apple was, she stepped back from it so it wouldn't roll into her hoof. "What's this?" She asked looking at it then looking at him. Was it food? Or was it a toy? She blinked and looked back at the apple. Was she suppose to roll it back, or stomp on it?
