It was a rather sunny day in the Pridelands. Lions of all types were going about their normal business. They bustled here and there, they helped watch cubs, they hunted for their families, the works. However, one lime green lioness, simply sitting underneath a rather shady tree, felt left out of the picture. Sure, she had been accepted into the pride and all, and her new family loved her, especially since she had a green pelt like their own, but it just wasn't quite... Done.

Yes, she was rather shy, and didn't like the idea of talking to other lions she didn't know, but still, she didn't want to be alone either. She didn't know how to get over her shyness, or should would of gone and offered to help some lion she saw in passing. With a frustrated sigh, the lioness put her head down on her paws, merely continuing to watch all the other lions. If only she could be as talkative as Siltim... He was a real chatterbox, in any situation.

"Ugh...."

With the promise he held towards his own mother, as well as Memetuka, Feo had begun to keep himself busy as he tried to patiently wait for the return of Jinamizi. Now, it certainly wasn't easy, especially not for the fisrt couple days, but it was slowly getting easier to handle. He hated this facade of acting like everything was fine, but...but he was smiling more, so perhaps that helped.

But! Shaken back to the present, he heard quiet an upset sound. With a skid (since he had somehow become a bit more social), he stopped just in front of the lioness, wondering what was wrong. Hopefully she wasn't just like how he was, waiting for someone that had left!

"What's wrong, miss?" he asked, cocking his head to the side. A little blunt and he was a bit in her face, but his fear of speaking to others was quickly wearing off.

Looking up at the golden-colored lion, the green lioness sighed some more, kind of shy to answer him. However, it was also quite rude to just let someone stand there and wait for your reply. So, hesitantly, she answered him.

"Ehh.. Jussst... Feel alone.. And out of placce. Why do you assssk?"

Curse the slight hissing! Everytime! Was it ever going to go away? It embarrassed her so, and she hated it with a burning passion. She knew that it probably scared some lions, which is something else that also made her different, but there was nothing that she could do about it. Hopefully this lion wouldn't mind it.

Feo's mind played with the idea of feeling alone. Well, the possibility was still there that she was waiting for someone. But if she was also feeling out of place....maybe she was new? No other way to know but ask!

He paused for a moment before speaking, though, because he didn't want to startle her. Looks like he did in the beginning, so he needed to do this a bit more...respectfully.

"I'm sorry," he said with a nod. "Are you new here? I haven't seen you before, and you seem sad. Are you....waiting for someone?" Hopefully the latter wasn't true, because that was never fun. If she was just new, well....then maybe she just needed a quick chat to make her feel better!

As odd as it was, the lioness smiled a bit. He had apologized, even though he had done nothing wrong. He suddenly seemed like a rather sweet lion, even though the lioness herself had pictured him otherwise.

"No, no. It'sss fine." She looked away for a second, still a little unsure, and then looked back, her yellow eyes looking up at him. "Yesss, I am. I've only been here for a few weekss or ssssoo. And no, I'm not waiting for anyone. I'm jusssst.. Bored... Or.. Maybe I'm lossst. I don't know."

She moved her paws about some, making sure she felt comfortable and all. Her bright green coat made her stand out so well amongst the shadows and dirt. It was like she was a patch of fresh, spring grass.

"Wooow," he commented, surprised that he actually guess right! Well, he was really only used to talking to others that had lived here his whole life, with a rogue-born here and there. Living way out there, wherever you wanted....the idea tickled his mind, but he felt like he could never really leave his one home.

"So you lived....out there, for most of your life? That's so neeeat," he commented, a bit cub-like. He couldn't help it, he found it exciting. So many adventures, stories, things!

Of course, he didn't really think that she might not of liked it much out there, but he didn't know what it was really like out there, either.

"Yesss.. Adventuresss.. Ssstoriesss.. Everything. You would think that when you live in a placcce like that, that you would have everything. You can go anywhere you want to. You can live anywhere you may pleasse. You can be anyone you choosse." The lioness stopped herself, some bad memories flooding back to her. Maybe others thought that the rogue lands was a wonderful place to be.. But not her. No. She had had her worst dreams come true there, and she never wanted to go back to them.

"They are... Different.. Which iss all I can really say." She looked out onto the Pridelands, just happy with where she was now. She wouldn't give a darn thing to go back to her old home.

"By the way, my name iss Chu'mana. What'sss yourss?", she questioned curiously.

Different. Everything that the green lioness had started to say sounded great! Oh, he knew that there were probably dangers out there. Lack of food and water in some places, maybe not even a place to sleep at night. But it still (sometimes) seemed better then what went around here. Which waaaaas....nothing.

He could tell, though, with her last statement that perhaps she didn't really want to go into detail about it. Feo had heard of some rogues taking sanctuary here from terrible things out there....maybe she was just looking for somewhere quiet? Well, she did sort of find it.

"I'm Feo, son of Shomoro. I don't think you've met my mother yet, but if you do, she is a wonderful lady. Pleasure to meet you, Chu'mana." Another quick bow, her name falling off his tonuge quite...easily, surprisingly. Interesing how her s's seemed to be a bit slurred, and yet her name didn't carry one. He found her interesting, and not in a bad way.

"So you came here for a quiet home, I take it? I'll assure you, m'self, that it is pretty quiet around here, besides the mass of cubs running around under your feet," he said with a laugh.

"Feo.. I like that name. It'sss sshort and sssimple, but it flows quite nicely. It'sss a beautiful name." The lime green lioness smiled, already seeing why she truly liked this place. Most lions here were so friendly, so outgoing, and just curious about others. If they didn't know who you were, they were sure to find out in some way or another.

"Yesss.. Ssort of. I came here with my mate, Sssiltim. He found me out in the rogue landsss and convinced me to come back here with him. He wass right in asssssuming that thisss placce is much better for me." Chu couldn't help but to laugh some at Feo's cub comment. It was true. Cubs ran around everywhere, and you never knew where a new one would pop up.

"Cubsss.. Yess. They ssure are everywhere. It makesss me want my own cub, in an odd sort of way." Then, something odd crossed her mind. "Are you a father, Feo?"

Feo agreed wholeheartedly. "Yes! Even though it's always been my home, everyone's so nice and thoughtful, it's really hard to think about living somewhere else." It was true. Though Feo had always played with the idea of seeing what the rest of the world was like, he always came back to the thought that this was his true home.

Though, when the question of cubs became something a bit more personal, only there was where Feo stumbled a bit. "Uhh," he started, flushed a bit in his cheeks. "N-no, I'm not. Sometimes it almost feels like it though, since my mother just had cubs recently, and sometimes I manage to get myself volunteered to keep an eye on them." Well, he sort of volunteered himself, since he felt bad for his mother once in a while, but still! Cubs were such a pain, it was hard to think back on what he used to do when he was a cub, and perhaps the trouble that he got into that must of made his mother nervous and irritated at times.

Ohh, how things change once you start to grow up!

"Ah. I ssssee. That sssoundss ssomewhat like Sssiltim'ss family. Hiss mother reccently had cubsss too, and he actsss much like a father figure to them asss he doess a brother. It'sss adorable, and it makesss me ssslightly jealousss. My family sssstopped excccepting me for who I wasss when my pelt turned thisss bright green color. It.... Unfortunately... Made me into an awful lionesss... For awhile. I'm better now though."

She smiled some, and realized she had gone a little off track. She hadn't meant too, but she did. However, she didn't think Feo really minded. He was a nice lion, and his pelt was a beautiful golden color, along with the gorgeous brown that he had as well. While pelt color shouldn't matter all that much, to some it did. Chu'mana had taught herself that it didn't, as underneath was what mattered.

"Ssssorry.. I sssort of went off track there a little."

"Awful? Certainly not. You seem very sweet, and it's just what we love here in the Pridelands." He smiled warmly, letting her know his real opinion about her. Sure, she spoke a little differently, but everyone did mattering on where they were born, and just how their parents taught them how to speak. While it sometimes took him an extra moment to respond to her, it didn't bother him in the least.

"This Siltim seems very kind. I hope to run into him someday soon, see just how nice he is to bring you here to our home." He offered a teasing wink, happy that at least there was another couple around that were quite happy to one another. It was easy to tell, with how often they spoke of their significant others.

Chu'mana smiled happily, very glad to see that Feo wasn't going to judge her by the color of her pelt or the way her words were twisted on her tongue as she spoke. It was nice to know that the caring creatures who existed within the Pridelands didn't judge others that way. It was nice indeed.

"Sssiltim.. Yess.. I love him sssoo. I'm really hoping that with the right timing... That he'll be my mate. And then.. Yess.. And then, I'll have cubsss of my own ssssoome day. Oh.. That would be ssssoo... Sssoo lovely."

She was sort of off in her own little dreamworld now, but not quite. Just the thought of raising a family here in these wonderful lands was enough to make any new lioness eagerly want to have cubs. Chu'mana was no exception.

"Oh! I'm ssssorry! I rambled on. I tend to do that when I think too muccch about one thing."
