(NOTE: After Damion and Calliope have left Sol's side) A lone ischa wandered through the crystal lands listening to the gossip and stories the trees had to offer. When away from her ocean she came here. There was always much to be gained from listening to the trees in this place.
The weather was rather pleasant for this time of year. The ischa mare smiled. Although listening to the trees and the other creatures that lived here was lovely. Chandara still craved the company of another nequus more over the company of her close friends. Sol, Damion and Calliope.
It seemed to have been ages since she had last set eyes upon those three. The two young Reya foals and their knightly guardian.
A gentle smile crossed the mare's face. Perhaps once more fate would allow them to meet. Chandara paused and lay under a tree beside a small trickling brook and listened.

Not so very far away from the purple maned mare, a pale shape wove and dove and dipped among the trees; a stallion was practicing his aerial agility and from his heavy breathing he had been at it for some time. Indeed, it was not long before he seemed to feel that he had done enough for the present and skimmed towards the ground. As he neared the green earth, the dark-eyed Ichsa let the wind drop out of the tendrils of his wings and landed cantering.
After a few paces he slowed first to a trot, then to a walk before halting completely. Breathing heavily, the pale-coated warrior flexed his tired wings a few times before lowering his head to drink deeply from a nearby rivulet. Though he was now very close to the rit-tailed mare, he did not see her. This was probably because she was directly behind him.

Chandara nearly gave a whinny of surprise to see Sol land in front of her. No sooner had she thought of him he was there in front of her, drinking from the brook. My thanks to you… she whispered mentally to the fates.
Gracefully the rit tailed mare rose to her feet in one fluid motion. "Sol." she called in her chime like voice she flicked her long rit tail and smiled. IT was good to see him again.

Sol started slightly at the whinny, he had thought himself alone, but as he recognized the voice his surprise gave way to a smile. Turning about, the long-horned stallion gave a deep bow to the odd-tailed female. "Chandara," he smiled as he straightened up once more, "it is good to see you again, especially so unexpectedly. To arrange to meet a friend is good but to cross paths by chance is all the better, or at least so I think."
How long had it been since he'd last seen the blue mare? How long had it been since he'd really seen anyone he knew come to that? Awhile for sure; he had become so wrapped up in fighting, getting stronger and fighting again that he'd lost track of the passage of time. Though he had not been lonely, he had been far too busy for that, the Ichsa still found himself very glad to see a friendly face.

Chandara watched as the stallion turned and returned her sile. "how have you been dear friend?" she said with a mysterious smile. The two foals must have grown up and strong now not to be with their father figure who protected them.
"It's been a long time." she said with a quiet smile.

The pale stallion chuckled and gave a nod of his head. "Indeed it has Chandara," he said with a smile. "I have been well for them most part, and I am certainly well at the moment." It almost felt like yesterday that the two of them had last spoken so well did he remember her. "I trust you have been well too?" he asked with a smile at the purple-maned mare. She certainly looked well; she always did in his experience.

Chandara gave a graceful nod "Indeed I am," She said "Although my path has been rather lonely since we last met." she told him. It was true after all. Chandara felt more at ease with her friends the protective stallion and the reya twins Damion and Calliope. Being with them brought her a joy she couldn't express in simple words.
Often being alone as she had been before wasn't suitable any more for some reason. She had to wander and no longer just stayed by the sea Even if she still visited the sea often.

Sol smiled slightly to the mare's words and nodded his head in agreement. "It has not been long since I parted with Damon and Calliope but I have found myself wanting for company since; I had become accustomed to always having folk to speak with." The stallion gave a few flicks of his tired wings at this point, focusing on loosening them up, before setting them to rest against his flanks once more and turning back to Chandara.
"Perhaps, if one believes in fate, that is why we found each other this day," he suggested with a faint smile. For himself, he didn't know. Sometimes it felt like fate had set him on the path he walked, sometimes he felt as though it was no one's and nothing's doing but his own... His separation from Vince, could that have been fate? It was said that such forces could be cruel as well as kind... No, no he couldn't believe that at least, for if it was fate from him to be parted from the Jala then what chance had he that he of seeing his friend again? If there was no fate, or at least if fate was not at work in that, it was possible that he might run across the former owner of the two sleek black feathers he wore in his mane one day.

"How are they since last you saw them?" she asked, it had been quite a while since she had seen them and wished to know how they were all grown up. Indeed she had been lonely.
THe mare gave a nod "True, I believe it was fate that has brought us together once more. Fate is a mysterious thing." she added with a smile. Chandara still knew little of the handsome stallion that stood before her but strangely wasn't sure she should ask anything about his past, he seemed distracted by it somehow.

Sol shook himself from his pondering and smiled back at the elegantly made mare before him. “Last I saw them they were well,” he told her with a nod. “Hale and Hearty and as full of life as ever. I am sure they are doing well for themselves in this world of ours, and if fate is indeed a force in it I hope it brings me back to them someday.” And back to Vince, too... Why was it that his Jala friend came to his mind so much of late? Perhaps it was the season, he had last seen the black-winged stallion in the winter.
The Ichsa gave another snort and pushed away the grey-mooded thoughts once more, giving Chandara another smile as he did so. “Apologies,” he said with a bob of his head, “my mind seems to be wandering back through the years today, if I seem distance feel free to splash me to bring me back to now.” Once they parted it might well be another long time before he saw the blue mare again; he didn’t want to waste these moments with too much introspection or regrets of the past.

Chandara gave a gentle nod "I am glad of that," She paused "maybe the fate shall bring them back so I may see them one day." she said realizing he had just said something similar Her eyes widened "My apologies." she said quickly with a bow of her head.
The Ichsa mare tilted her head slightly "And what are these wandering thoughts if I may ask?" she asked quietly and politely if he refused her request she wouldn't ask again. She saw no need to wake him from nostalgic thoughts. it was fine as everyone did that every once in a while.
"Have you found anything interesting during your travels?" she asked with a smile.

The tall stallion smiled and gave a slight sake of his head. "Just to an old friend who I have not seen in many seasons, and who I miss. We were foals, colts and young brash stallions together but..." But what? He wished he knew. Sol gave a shrug. "But we lost contact; I know not where he roams today." He refused to accept the possibility that the Jala stallion roamed not at all; he couldn't believe that Vince was dead; surely something in his heart would have told him if the black-winged creature breathed no more...
The pale-coated Ichsa frowned thoughtfully at Chandara's other question, glad to move his thoughts on once more. "I've seen a few things I suppose, but nothing truly exceptional. Of late I have been training myself, and fighting a few fights that needed fighting," the dark-eyed stallion told his elegant companion with a slight smile. "Still," he went on with a chuckle, "seeing you once more is the most notable thing that has happened to me since I parted with Damon and Calliope."

"I am sure this friend of yours lives." she said with certainty "If he is anything like yourself he is sure to be fine." She felt the stallion's worry, they seemed so close the two stallion friends the way Sol spoke about him Sol would know if his true friend had died the fates would let him know.
"I believe you and your friend may be Reunited one day the fates will arrange it."
Chandara returned her ears to Sol as he spoke. A noble heart he had protected those who could not protect themselves. Chandara smiled back at her companion "I myself haven't experienced much since the last I saw you three either." she told him "I am glad to see you once more."

Sol smiled at the mare’s words and gave a bob of his head as a gust of wind plucked at his mane, and at the black feathers tied so securely there. “I hope you are right Chandara, I hope you are right.” He wished he posessed this mare’s certainty of such things, sometimes he felt as if he wasn’t certain of anything at all save his duty to the world.
“In any case,” the pale-coated Ichsa said a moment later, shaking away thoughts of his Jala brother with a smile, “perhaps we two could remain together for a time... I mean I have nowhere in particular to go, I’ve just been looking for... well for things I need to do I suppose.” Perhaps if Chandara had somewhere to go he would go with her, and if not perhaps they could just wander around in company. If she wanted his company, of course. Though he counted the odd mare a friend Sol hadn’t the slightest idea about what made her tick and though he knew that she was fond of him too, he did not know if the dark-eyed mare would welcome prolonged company.

Chandara's light purple mane blew behind her. She had noticed that black feather before but never knew were it was from until now. Such a close bond the two had. Two brothers unrelated by blood. Such Rarity for a wonderful story such as that, Fate may indeed be kind to the pair. She hoped.
The ishca mare smiled she was glad Sol offered his company; it had been a long time since anyone wanted hers as well. "I would be glad to come with you Sol."
