Much of society would say that a strong individual was strong because they'd spent a lot of time around a strong male influence. For Soweto, the only boys she was ever around were Wyatt, who was just as silly as a puppy, or her brother--who was a puppy. So why she was the way she was, even Nelos couldn't really say. The only idea her mother had, was that Soweto was just a Hell of a lot like her grandmas.

Shoulders back and head held high the pup paraded stiffly around a particularly fat old tree, with one gnarled root dragging out of the corners of her mouth. Over the course of four days the pup had successfully dug to the root, and gnawed it off the tree. This, was her moment of pride.

"Shtoopid free" she puppy growled, through a mouth full of tree root. "frying shoo catk me. Ha!"

Spitting the limb out, she ignored the dirt covering her mouth. "Whatcha gonna do now? Huh? Huh? Yah, that's right. Walk away!"

Picking up the root once more, she kicked some dirt at the tree then stuck her nose in the air and pranced in the direction of the tree she'd claimed as her own. Her pretty tree, were she stashed all her souvenirs from her victories.

Oh bother. Bother, bother, bother... How in the world could she've gotten herself lost like this? One moment she was sniffing along the border because of a rabbit, and now, bam! She was out here! It quite concerned the femme, because there was a lapse of time she couldn't account for. Or, at least she believed she couldn't. How in the world was she ever going to get back to the pack-lands? Flame had no idea, and trotting through the brush, green eyes under a knitted brow, she believed that she was getting herself even more lost.

"I should just stay here, Mama and Papa will come and rescue me." The lithe, tiny fire-colored pup squeaked to herself with a determined nod. That way she wouldn't get more lost. Plopping her bottom down onto the ground, Flame began to wait. It shouldn't take them too long, right?

Maura was one of three pups and she was not fighter or one for proving bronze. Instead this young she-wolf was one to learn why things worked out like they did. She was a philosopher, and loved learning whatever she could sniff up.

Being from a family with very strong females, it never surprised Maura about her sister's strength. In fact, the dark deep brown and orange pup, figured her sister was a very proud individual because of such genetics. Tail wagging back and forth the young femme walked up towards the area that held Soweto's scent the heaviest.

Looking at the mud freckled face of her sibling, the dark moored pup smiled warmly.

"You finally got root didn't you?" she spoke in an encouraging tone. Being a philosopher Maura wasn't one to tussle, but before actually finding that part of her soul out, she had wrestled with her siblings like all puppies did. That was the joy of being a youth in any pack right?

If not, Maura would find the answers out to all questions she had one day. Then share everything with the world.

Proud, Soweto was. Not particularly because of her relatives, being as she only really knew about her mother and her grandmother. But mainly because she learned early on that if she could back herself up, she could do anything she wanted.

Like show a big scary old tree whose boss.

With light colored eyes she smiled at her sister as the orange one approached. Such a pretty little thing she was, Soweto liked her. Maura spent more time thinking though.

Digging up the little lump of dirt that covered her various things, pinecones, a skull, a smooth rock, and a patch of fur, the pup shoved her stick in and covered the dirt with her nose. "That I did. Took a little long than I expected though."

The dirt left an odd taste in her mouth, but not one that she would waste time trying to whipe out. Swallowing most of it, she panted a few pup pants and looked carefully around.

Maura was the only other wolf she would allow near her special tree. Not even their brother was allowed to know. But the blue ribboned pup smelled something else, something that definately wasn't expected.

"Do you smell that?" It was another wolf, but there were at least two aspects she recognized. It was a female, and it was a pup.

Grinning and curious, the dark brown female followed her nose until the scent whelled up enough for her to find a location. As she saw a flash of orange and red painted on a black body, the pup's tail went up and she attempted to show less enthusiasm. After all, this was her time to pretend to be in charge.

"Who're you?"

Sitting on her haunches, staring up into the trees Flame tried not to dwell on the fact that she was in a strange place with no protection, lest she begin to beat herself up for it again. The faint chirping of birds overhead was enough to take her attention away from the situation at hand for a while, eyes blinking in wonder. What strange creatures they were, birds. She'd learned their names from her father, he knew absolutely everything.

The sound of the other pup caused her to jump in surprise, wheeling around with widened emerald eyes to whomever spoke. Her heart was caught in her throat for a moment as she stood there, in shock that someone else would even be out here, even if it was only as big as her! Flame debated answering, familiar warnings of never talking to strangers coming up. But, this stranger looked like she meant business.

"Flame, of the Airavata Pack." The pup squeaked softly, swallowing.

With the twitching of her nose Maura caught the scent at the same time her sister had and following along side of Soweto to see who was the strange femme in there grandmother's land.

Looking at her sister standing proud like their Alpha and their grandmother, Maura held back a smile at the timidness of the other. But for her being in a strange land having any talking skill surprised the orange hued philosopher.

Soweto couldn't help puffing out her chest a little more at the reaction of the unfamiliar pup. It hadn't been her intentions to frightening the girl, but at the same time she was a little pleased at having evoked that kind of a response.

"The Airavata Pack, hm? Are you a spy?"

Her tail wagged a little at the prospect, her face was soft with curiosity and delight as she spoke, and she couldn't help but glance around to be sure there weren't others hiding in the brush.

"I'm Soweto, and this my sister Maura. What're you doing on our land?"

A spy? Ears perked lightly on that inquiry, the pup herself believing that quite atrocious. Her, a spy? She doubted it. She was just lost. Shaking her head softly Flame looked to the other pup appearing beside the first, noting the slight resemblance both in scent and appearance. They were litter-mates!

"I....I got lost in the woods." The emerald-eyed pup explained, a bit sheepishly, not liking her personal control on her predicament. She looked to the other pups, hoping that they would offer to help. Who knows how long her parents would take to realize such a small thing was missing from their lands.

Looking between her sister and Flame, Maura just kept her inquisitive face on and watched the other. For a puppy, she thought that it wasn't possible for one as young as all of them, to be able to lie well enough to be a spy.

"I believe you are just lost. Is there anything that we...or I...can do to help you get back to your family?" Maura though she liked to watch things unfold at the seams to understand it better, she knew that this oddly colored femme had to be scared to an extent of being lost in another's land.

User Image The young tribal colored cub named Vianna was a daddy's girl through and through, and since her daddy was once a great warrior, she focuses her everyday around attempting to emulate that (much to her mother's dismay) by any means necessary.

After taking a chance to sneak away from her parental units and sister she spotted a rather odd group of female cubs conversing with each other. Were they lost? Were they forming a rebellion? Were they going to gang up on other helpless cubs?! Or were they just talking?

Either way, it all sounded like fun. So over to the other cubs she bounded stopping short to walk proudly (and to catch her breath). "Hey..." Was all she could really think of to say unfortunately, but she made sure that when it came out it was strong and hopefully a conversation starter.

Lost? A likely story!

Well, even Soweto had to admit that Flame was telling the truth. After all, she really was quite convincing. Rats. What a day it would have been to have saved the land from a spy!

Not there was really much to spy on.

Offering assistance was on the tip of her little pink tongue when she was surprised by the arrival of yet another stranger.

This one was a spy for sure!

Straightening up once more, it was almost laughable how hard Soweto tried to make herself look larger and more intimidating. She couldn't justify why, but it just seemed like a good thing to do at the time.

"Hello. Do you know Flame?" She asked, suspiciously. Motioning with her head to the other pup. They didn't really look similar, and they certainly didn't smell similar, but that wasn't the point.

Best to figure out connections early on.

"Thank you.." The young femme replied softly with a gracious smile to the brown and black pup- Maura, was it?- and let her tail begin to wag a note of thanks as well. At least someone believed her, and she believed it was going to be so hard to get back to her pack. Perhaps it'd be easier than she thought!

Flame was beginning to speak once more, but yet another pup burst upon the scene. Quite surprised by this, the pup blinked at the new arrival, before looking back to the two sisters. Was this another litter-mate?

It didn't seem so, as Soweto, the obvious leader of the observation already, questioned the pup's connection with...her? She'd never seen that femme before in her life!

Vianna was getting accused of something, she was sure of it. But what? Knowing someone? This she did not appreciate at all.

Immediatly she puffed up and erected her head with a bit of a tilt trying to present herself as strong as possible. "No, I'm Vianna and I"m new to these lands. I'm afraid the only cub I really know is my sister, and she does not stand here."

There was a possibility in befriending this cub that questioned her so, honestly it was an admirable thing she did, standing up, questioning and protecting... Whatever it was she was protecting.

"You're welcome, don't think anything of it," Maura quickly replied. Then an ear swiveled to one side and the fact that her sister erected herself again; Maura sighed, life would be an interesting one. That was at least the promise she had found with in her family, even the ones, she was sure, her mother wasn't happy about.

Turning her head too look at the new stranger, she spotted the same brisk demenor that matched Soweto's to the 't', whatever that meant. Turning her head abit at the other, this new comer didn't smell similar to anyone else that lived in their pack, or for that matter she didn't smell like Flame. So she was from another pack, or at least that was the speculation in scents telling her.

"What pack do you come from? Your scent is strange on the nose, Vianna." Maura stated fighting back a sneeze from the odd scratchy air that seemed to disperse off of the dark and overly oddly marked femme's coat.

All kinds of things were being questioned, but Vianna supposed it was normal. As she responded there was great pride in her voice, she loved being a part of her pack.

"I hail from The Agua Azul pack, it's a little small so far. But it will grow great and powerful, and I will be a big part of it. What are your names and what packs are you a part of? Not very good manners, asking without giving the same information firsthand." Every wolf needed to be a part of a pack, Vianna believed, so there was no point in leaving open an option for those packless.
