Naida had been wandering between the medieval shelves for about and hour trying to find things that would hopefully help her with the classes she was not doing so well in. Really, she wanted to find more stuff on divinations because her tea reading had sparked something inside of her, but passing classes was probably a better focus.
After she had complied a stack of books in her arms that she could no longer see over, she looked around for a table to sit at. Of course, there were lots of empty tables to choose from. Naturally, that meant she headed straight for a table with a person already at it.
Naida dropped her books on the table with very little grace, and was more than amused as they spilled everywhere. However, to her surprise, she realized she actually knew the girl at the table. They had been on the train together. "Hey." Naida greeted her, wishing she had remembered the girl's name.

Sira was startled with the abrupt noise. She hadn't even heard anyone approach, completely distracted by her own book.
As she looked up, she met with a face which she immediatly recognized as belonging to... one of the girls she had met during the trip to Hogwarts. There was Kiandra and Naida. Or was it Nadia? No, no, definitely Naida. She hadn't talked to either of them since then, although she had spotted them every now and then, first at the Sorting Hat ceremony (although she couldn't remember who went to which house) and then in classes.
"Hi!", she replied. If only she knew who of the twins she was addressing.

"How is?" Naida said, falling into her chair and dividing her books into piles. One was for charms, the other was for divinations. Somehow, even though she tried hard, the divinations pile was still taller.

"Meh" was the only sound Sira could produce. Then she decided her acquaintance was worth a wordier reply, even if she did not expect it and was just making small talk: "Reading about some Defense Against the Dark Arts spells", she said, tapping her copy of An Elementary Guide To Defensive Spells.
"You'd think reading about interesting things would be at least half as interesting as doing them, but no... not really", she completed, sounding disappointed.

"I'm not sure fighting the darks arts is for me. It still hasn't sparked my interest at all... maybe it's the teacher..."

"Maybe... to be honest, I haven't paid much attention to him. Except whenever he brings in interesting things for the other years to... play with."
Sira folded her arms across her chest, giving the look that it upset her more than it actually should. "But, okay, I suppose I wouldn't even be ready to handle them", she continued, unfolding them shortly after, resting her hands on her lap.

"Yeah, it does look like more fun in the other years... still, I don't find the class difficult. I bet you, being a Ravenclaw, are doing great in it..."

Sira looked away, smiling. It's not that she couldn't take a compliment, but she didn't know what to say, either.
"It... seems to be going along so far", she nodded.
"Still... Think it's really like that?" she asked, facing the Slytherin girl again. "I sometimes wonder how it would've been if I had been placed in another house. To be recognized for more than smarts or wit. To be known for bravery, kindness, or even a sharp tongue... those traits seem to speak more to me than just being good at some classes."
Sira sighed. She wasn't unhappy at Ravenclaw or anything like it, and since her parents were Ravenclaws too, she never really expected to be placed anywhere else. But now that she was at Hogwarts, interacting with others from other houses, she couldn't help but wonder if she had been sorted into any other of those.

"Honestly, I think you'll eventually be known for who you are, not what you are. We're just all too new to have made any real mark on what's around us. I mean, even though we're sorted into different houses, I think people will come to realize how similar me and my sister are..."

Sira smiled a very apologetic smile. "Speaking of similarities in between... Aah... this is very awkward, but... could you remind me of which one you are, again? Naida or Kiandra? I've been wondering since you got here but didn't know how to ask", she confessed, feeling like a bit of a fool.

Naida smiled, she had been getting this a lot for the last 11 years. "I'm Naida. Kiandra would have been telling you about some boy by now..." She laughed. "And while we're in the moment of not quite knowing names, I know I was on the train with you, but I totally forgot your name. I'm so sorry..."

Sira shook her head repeatedly. "It's fine, it's fine!", she said, feeling a bit better about not being the only one with memory shortage. "It's Sira."

"That's right, that's right!", confirmed Sira. "Although I haven't really talked much with anyone since the year began... In fact, if we don't count a word or two exchanged with a girl in the Ravenclaw common room, this is the first actual, proper conversation I'm having."
"How pathetic", she added to herself.

Naida tilted her head to the side. "Really? Weird. How do you get by in classes and stuff?" She felt she was always talking to someone around her. Poor girl...
