 Ixa'Taka tumbled through the jungle, glad to get away from his sisters for a while. He crouhced down, waggled his tail, then lept at a beetle that promptly flew away from him, and he would repeat the process, such was how he had gotten away from his family in the first place.
In all honesty, Ixa was probably the clumsiest leopard cub ever to walk, but he was quite unaware of it, seeing as the only leopards he knew were family, and they never called him clumsy. He crouched down again, flicked his tail, and pounced at the clever beetle, that had just flown over a rock and was perched on the other side, leading Ixa's leap to bash his head straight into said rock. "Owwww," The cub said pitifully, one eye closed as he rubbed his forhead with his paw, pulling out debris that he had gathered in his trip through the lush lands.

Chui grumbled lowly to himself, wondering why, of all the days, there had to be no lunch anywhere to be found. It was particularly unpleasant since he hadn't found any breakfast either, and he frowned and took a seat in a small clearing, salmon eyes scanning the immediate area around him. It was empty, at the moment, so he moved quickly to a small set of boulders nearby and lay down. If he couldn't have lunch, at least he could have himself a nice, peaceful cat-nap.

Or....not. Chui opened an eye lazily, its gaze landing on a small leopard cub who'd just knocked his head rather hard against a nearby boulder. He chuckled and lifted his head, both eyes now open to watch the cub. "Are you alright?" he asked, reaching out with his paw and gently grabbing him by the scruff of his neck to have a closer look at him. Chui set him down and smiled. "So. Where are you parents?"

The moment he was picked up, Ixa's instincts kicked in, putting him into the kitten-like position of one picked up by its mother, but he was normal again once he was set down. "Yeah, I'm fine, I've just got a headache now..." Ixa said, rubbing his head once more before deciding that he wasn't going to get any better than he was now. "I just guess I wasn't paying enough attention to where I was going," he said with a sheepish grin. "My parents are back there," he added, gesturing behind him with his paw. "My name's Ixa'Taka, by the way," he said cheerily, despite the throbbing head. "Ixa for short, if you prefer."

Chui chucked lightly, knocking the cub's head gently with his paw. "Next time just be more careful," he said. "Besides, it's not like you could eat the beetle. What were you gonna do when you caught it?" The older male smiled and lay his head back down, though his salmon eyes' gaze never wavered from Ixa. He suddenly remembered back when he was a cub, how he had been all alone as well. "Would you like me to take you back to your parents?" he asked, then continued, "Oh, and I'm Chui."

"Nice to meet you, Chui," Ixa'taka said with a nod. However, the adult had asked a very good question. "Well, I don't know what I was planning for it once I caught it..." He thought about it for a moment, but he couldn't get anything to come to mind. "That's a good question," he said looking off in the direction the bug had gone for a moment before turning his attention back to the adult. "Maybe I would've let it go again and tried to catch it again?" He suggested with a sheepish grin. He thought just for a second before responding to the leopard's second question: "Yeah, I wouldn't mind being taken back, if you won't mind keeping me company," Ixa said with a smile. He rose quickly to get to his feet, but one paw caught behind the other, having him land on his chest. Blushing under the fur, he corrected himself and got to his feet, ready to go.

Despite himself, the antics of the little cub very much amused him, and when Ixa energetically got up, he followed in suit with a laugh. "Well I don't think you'd be doing the beetle any favors by playing catch and release with it." The older male began walking, shortening his strides so the Ixa could keep up with ease. "So, do your parents usually let you wander off in the jungle?" he asked, a bit the adult in him beginning to surface. He couldn't really help it, knowing that if it were his cub he'd get pretty upset that he just randomly wandered off without permission or supervision.
