System Colonization Mission - OngoingThe time has finally come. After several new systems have been discovered, the Beta Quadrant Exploration Initiative has finally permitted the claiming and colonizing of unclaimed systems throughout the Beta Quadrant. Systems are to be colonized for the Governments of those who claim them, and are required to upkeep and defend this new territory as well. Failure to do so shall result in the removal of the system's claim. If the colony is founded by those other than the Federation, Klingon, or Romulan Governments, they are at their own discretion and to be treated as independent parties.
Optional Programs to assist the creativity: [

Before claiming a system, an exploratory mission is to be held by the Captain interested in the territory.
A TOTAL OF AT LEAST FIVE DETAILED IN CHARACTER POSTS OVER A COURSE OF SEVERAL DAYS OR WEEKS IN CHARACTER TIME IS REQUIRED BEFORE ANY SYSTEM CAN BE CLAIMED. SIMPLY SCANNING A SYSTEM IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. If the system is to their liking, they may stake a claim on the territory. However, if a rival government wishes to dispute the claim, they may do so on their own terms. Claims are to be sent to Deep Space 12 and the Quadrant Communications System for recording. Any disputes are to be resolved between the involved parties, and no outside forces are allowed to act. Due to the small number of available systems, only one claim per person ((member)) is allowed at this time, unless a group decides to colonize a system. However, once claimed, members of the group can not split off to claim their own systems as it is a group commitment. This mission does not require permission from Deep Space 12 to undertake, however, a claim must be sent once the exploration mission is completed, or the system cannot be claimed by the party in question.
Patrol Missions - *Ongoing*The Patrol Route is simple, starting at the bottom right corner of
Sector D-12, continue down along the right side of
Sectors D-13 and D-14 until you arrive at the bottom right of
Sector D-14. Then, continue along the bottom of
Sectors E-14 and F-14 until you arrive at the bottom right hand corner of
Sector F-14. Continue up along the right hand side until you arrive at the bottom right of
Sector F-13. Make a diagonal approach across sector F-13 to the opposite corner at the bottom right of
Sector E-12. Finish the last leg of the route by following the bottom of
Sector E-12 to arrive back at the beginning at the bottom right of
Sector D-12. Do to this being a Patrol Mission, you must not exceed Warp 5. One Post, at least, per Sector. Can not be a one liner post. This mission should be broken up over a day or two real time, and should take place in the respective Deep Space threads unless entering a sector where a system is present. For the
Romulan Patrol Mission, follow the same basic square pattern, but around F'vau instead.
----------> Course Correction (Beta Cestus Patrol): Avoid the Dunari system and navigate around it. The area has been claimed as Alliance territory as with the space between.
Available Patrols
Federation/Klingon/Independent Patrol Mission - Reward 10,000 CreditsSince the recent liberation of Beta Cestus III by the Cestian Alliance, the Federation has decided to keep a watchful eye on the area in the case that anyone makes any waves in the sectors nearby. No Federation ship is allowed in the area itself, unless first granted permission from the Cestian Alliance. Independents are free to move in or out, as are Captains of the Klingon government. Shields can be raised, but Weapons are to remain inactive. The USS Trial and the USS Nautilus, are already engaged in the route. However, two ships are not enough to patrol the entire perimeter. The Federation has also called upon any Klingon vessels in the area to assist.
Romulan Patrol Mission - Reward 15,000 CreditsWith the new liberation of Beta Cestus III, the Romulans have moved their patrols to the space around F'vau. Two Firehawks are already assigned, but more vessels are needed. Patrols may be done under cloak, or with Shields and Weapons fully charged. All ships entering and leaving the territory are to be stopped and questioned. If they prove suspicious, they should be brought forward to the Command Vessel of the Romulan Government. Commander V'renek will personally make sure that any trespassers or potential enemies are persuaded not to cause any problems in Romulan territory.
I'm an Explorer, not an Escort! - Ongoing
(Reward: 50 Credits per day of travel at cruising speed - 7,500 Credits)
(Must have a total of 11 posts. 2 in DS12 - 8 in Deep Space - 1 in Hephaestus)
(Posts must be at LEAST 5 well-written sentences. Details are GOOD) The findings of the exploratory mission to the Hephaestus system have been astounding. As such, the Federation Council has decided to send a very large number of exploratory missions to the system located in
Sector M-15. They have enlisted the help of
Federation,
Independent, and
Klingon vessels to act as escorts for the science vessels, most of which are very small and not heavily armed. You will escort the science vessels to the system, and then head back to Deep Space 12, escorting a different science vessel home that will have already been in the system for several weeks. Notify Deep Space 12 of Departure, and Arrival, on this mission. As the science vessels are easy targets, there is a possibility of hostile forces, so be on guard...
Mission Limited to 1 Time per OOC DayBeta Cestus Resource Transport - Ongoing
(Reward: 40 Credits-per-Ton up to total of 600 Tons - 1 ship only)
(Must have a total of 7 posts. 2 in DS12 - 4 in Deep Space - 1 in Beta Cestus)
(Posts must be at LEAST 5 well-written sentences. Details are GOOD)The asteroid belts of the
Beta Cestus System located in
Sector E-13 are held by the Romulan Star Empire. Ever since their annexation of the planet by the Rebel Forces, now called the Cestian Alliance, the Romulans have been relocated to an extensive mining operation of asteroids containing Dilithium Crystals. However, with the new Cestian Alliance seemingly getting stronger, and with more ships sent to patrol, less of the materials have been getting mined. Thus, they have enlisted the help of any able-bodied
Romulan vessels in carrying the material to Deep Space 12 for processing. As a reward for their loyalty, they have allowed the vessels to keep the Credits otherwise gained from the shipments. Notify Deep Space 12 of Departure, and Arrival, on this mission.
