Transwarp Gate The Transwarp Gate is generally closed, and does not lead anywhere. However, if activated by a ship on either side of the gate, an aperture will open, and allow ships to pass through the conduit to the other side. This allows a large number of vessels to be directed through the opening at once, but only in one direction at a time. Only the highest levels of security clearance will allow the gate to open and allow passage through it. The Gate may be used under special circumstances to allow a ship to cross into the Alpha Quadrant, or allow ships from the Alpha Quadrant to enter the gate for reinforcements or other such duties. The gate is defended by 8 turrets of its own, and also lies under the field of fire created by Deep Space 12. The Gate also has its own shields for defense. "The Journey Begins"Captain's Log Stardate 61407.3 -
After our final shakedown tests and drills nearly six months ago, Starfleet has finally given us our first major assignment. It would seem that all the initial bugs with the ship have been phased out, and we're ready to go into full-term service. The crew is anxious to get to the Beta Quadrant and begin our duties as Command Ship of the area, and also to explore the unknown territory that lies beyond Deep Space 12. Its funny that a ship with the name "Ragnarok" would be created for exploration, but an explorer she is. The most advanced sensors and computer systems in Starfleet as well as the most advanced tactical systems are present on this ship... Let's just hope we won't have to use much in the way of the tactical systems. Bridge to Captain Kazamaru, we're nearing the exit of the Transwarp Conduit. You'd better get up here. I'm sure you don't want to miss this.Captain Ryugi Kazamaru looked up as he was summoned by his First Officer, Commander Taggart. They'd entered the Transwarp Gate roughly two hours ago and they were nearing the exit in the Beta Quadrant. He ended his log and stood up, tapping the communicator badge on his left chest and replied. I'm on my way.He stood up and exited his quarters, nodding to several crew members along his way to the turbolift. Once inside, he ordered to be taken to the bridge, and made his way there, his green eyes checking the data on his P.A.D.D. and his right hand stroking his dark blond hair. The turbolift stopped and the doors opened with a soft swish. Captain on the bridge! As the Captain walked onto the bridge of the starship, the bridge crew stood at attention, awaiting his orders. He took a moment to look them over, taking a deep breath and speaking. At ease...
Ladies, gentlemen, what we're about to embark on is a mission that represents exactly what Starfleet stands for. We're here to uphold peace in the New Frontier, the newly explored quadrant, and of course, to do some exploring ourselves. We'll go where no one has gone before, and see whats out there. It'll be a long assignment, but we'll bring all of us home to tell about what we've seen. If Admiral Janeway and her crew could do seven years in the Delta Quadrant alone, we can sure as hell can deal with this. Now, take your stations, and lets get started. The Captain finished and his bridge crew jumped to work, manning their stations and preparing to exit the Gate. * * * * * The Transwarp Gate suddenly burst into life as an aperture opened, showing the blue conduit of energy before a ship emerged, the Command Ship of the Beta Quadrant Exploration Initiative, the Ragnarok Class Vessel USS Ragnarok, NX - 75000. The first ship of her class exited from the Transwarp Conduit with a flash and carried on towards Deep Space 12 at one quarter impulse, ready to begin her duties...

Stardate 61798.2The Transwarp Gate suddenly flared blue and revealed the conduit within as a single small vessel disembarked and slowly made its way towards Deep Space 12. The station had been expecting this light vessel, and quickly made room at a docking port. The vessel would soon enter the station and dock... Quote: Ship StatisticsCost: *PROTOTYPE - NOT PURCHASABLE* Ship Name: USS Arrowhead Ship Registry: NX - 75580 Ship Class: Arrowhead Class Runabout Primary Role: Advanced Scout Secondary Role(s): High-Warp Transport Vessel System StatisticsHull: 1000 (Ablative Hull Armor - Reduces Hull Damage by 40%) Shields: 650 (Regenerative Shielding - Reduces Shield Damage by 40%) Shield Emitters: 325 Engines: 800 Sensors: 500 Warp StatisticsCruising Speed: Warp 7 Emergency Speed: Warp 9 (5 Hours) Weapon StatisticsPhaser/Disruptor Arrays: 6 Phaser/Disruptor Types: 3 Type I Pulse Phaser Cannons/4 Type VI Phasers Max Volley: 2 Pulse Phasers/2 Type VI Phasers Fore: 2 Pulse Phasers/2 Type VI Phasers Aft: 1 Type VI Phaser Dorsal: 1 Type VI Phaser Ventral: 1 Type I Pulse Phaser Port/Starboard: 2 Type VI Phasers Torpedo Tubes: 2 Max Volley: (2 Fore) (1 Aft) Torpedo Types: Micro Quantum Torpedoes (Fore Only) Type II Micro Photon Torpedoes (Fore/Aft) Torpedo Stock: 10 Micro Quantum Torpedoes / 30 Type II Micro Photon Torpedoes NotesThe Arrowhead Class Runabout was designed as an advanced scout as well as a high-warp transport craft for ferrying important persons to and from destinations. The ship's weaponry was designed after the highly successful Defiant Class, and her warp drive was created using ideas first utilized on the Ragnarok Class. The Regenerative Shielding allows the small ship to take a beating and still use her powerful engines to outrun most threats. But the arsenal of advanced weaponry onboard makes the Arrowhead Class a force to be reckoned with, even among starships three times its size. The ship can be flown by as few as 1 crewmen (ideally 2), but can hold approximately 20. Facilities include science, tactical, and helm in the cockpit, a dining area and room for cargo in the aft compartments, and a hatch to the engineering section in the far aft portion of the ship. One Jeffries tube is located under the floor of the cockpit, and can be used as a means of travel to any section of the ship in times of emergency. If the design proves successful, the Arrowhead Class may serve to replace the older Danube Class, as well as become standard equipment on most larger starships.

Stardate 64346It had been a long time since anything noteworthy had come through the wormhole, mainly just cargo ships and construction vessels flitting between Quadrants. Today, however, would break that trend. The Transwarp Gate flared into life, a swirling blue conduit coming to life as it did so, but it was a few moments before the new arrival made its way through the gate, the reason why immediately apparent . . . The vessel, considerably larger than the majority of the Starfleet vessels seen around Deep Space 12, made for the station at one third impulse, the powerful engines of the Arcadia making the short journey to its designated docking port a short but elegant one. Quote: Ship Statistics Ship Name: USS Arcadia Ship Registry: NCC-21017 Ship Worth: (-Classified-) Ship Class: Ambassador Class [Refit] Primary Role: Exploration Secondary Role(s): Science Vessel, Heavy Cruiser, Diplomatic Vessel System Statistics Hull: 9000 [All damage reduced by 40%.] Shields: 3600 [All damage reduced by 40%.] Engines: 4500 Sensors: 3300 Warp Statistics Cruising Speed: Warp 8.5 Emergency Speed: Warp 9.65 (Two Days) Weapon Statistics Phaser/Disruptor Arrays: 12 Phaser/Disruptor Types: 12 Type IX Phaser Emitters Max Volley: 10 Fore: 3 Aft: 2 Dorsal: 5 Ventral: 5 Port/Starboard: 7 Torpedo Tubes: 6 Max Volley: (16 Fore) (8 Aft) Torpedo Types: Type IX Photon Torpedoes Torpedo Stock: 285 Photon Torpedoes Notes This latest refit of the Ambassador class, one of many the class has seen since its birth in the early part of the 24th century, is a significant upgrade - phaser emitters have been stripped out, upgraded and added, the engines have been replaced, the class no longer damaging subspace and now capable of keeping up with newer ships such as the Akira and Defiant, and sensors have been completely overhauled, giving the aging spaceframe a new lease of life; the Advanced Starship Design Bureau confidently estimate this refit will prolong the retirement of the Ambassador class by another thirty years or so.
