 Talitha rolled around in her pile of turkey feathers, wondering where everyone was. "Did I miss a game of Hide and Seek?" she wondered out loud, burrowing herself into the turkey feathers until only her floofy tail could be seen.

Lexis was walking by curious as to where every had disappeared to. He walked by a pile of turkey feathers and smiled, remembering his adventure with Talitha. He walked a few more steps and then paused. Wait a second...
Lexis turned back to the pile of turkey feathers and noticed a very familiar tail. Smiling, Lexis said, "Hi Talitha!"

Talitha's head popped out of the pile, "Dagnabit! You found me!" She sat up, snuggling her feathers back into a pile. "Do you know where everyone else is?" she asked.

Lexis shook his head. "No, everyone just disappeared. Maybe we're in a different area? That makes more sense than everyone disappearing into thin air. Why were you hiding?" Lexis could have sworn that Talitha's hiding days were over after they caught and released that turkey.

"I thought we were playing Hide and Seek..." she ducked under her tail, a little embarrassed by her explanation for some reason, "It was plausible..."
(I need to reorganize my Namrah's journals >.>
I have the explanation for Talitha's hidings in there somewhere...)

Lexis laughed a little. Not really at her theory, since it did seem plausable, but at just at her embarrassment. He didn't mean it in a mean way of course. After all, why would he be mean to Talitha? She is really nice. "I suppose it'd make sense," he said smiling, "it might account for all the people and namrah who disappeared. Still, where's the seeker? Usually it's not too hard to find the seeker."

"Well, you weren't hiding, maybe you were the seeker?" she said, peeking over her tail at his laugh. She blinked and frowned a little, "Did I say something funny...?"

Lexis shook his head. "Not really." Now he was a little embarrassed. Perhaps he should think before letting laughter escape from his mouth? Especially considering how shy she is around most males. No need to make her even more timid. Or paranoid. "I suppose I shouldn't laugh if you don't say or do anything funny. I'm sorry."

Talitha narrowed her eyes a little, sinking down to peer at him from under her tail, "Then what were you laughing at?" She gathered her turkey feathers a little closer about her.

Lexis realized that there was no backing out of this one. Sighing, and hoping that she didn't get too upset at him, he said, "It's just...you looked embarrassed. It was...just a little cute and I felt like laughing." Lexis thought over what he had just said and felt even more embarrassed. He tried to revise it by saying, "Uh, cute like a...kit type cute! Not..." He then grew just a little too embarrassed to finish that sentence. He and his big mouth. He realized why some people referred to it as a trap.

Talitha winced and burrowed into her feathers until once again only her tail stuck out. "Oh..." she replied, sounding a little scared, a little more embarrassed, and a little disappointed, "Like a kit..."

Lexis heard the slight disapointment in Talitha's tone and felt more embarrassed than ever. Sure, the action she just took that made him laugh was almost kit-like, but he really didn't think of her as a kit. His mind filled with questions that he could barely fathom an answer to. How did he feel about Talitha? Did he like her? Did she like him back? He forcibly stopped the cycling of thoughts to prevent his head from spinning so that he could properly comment. "I didn't mean it like that. I don't think of you as a kit." He stopped his mouth right there to prevent himself from saying something stupid.

Talitha hesitated, then peeked out from her pile of feathers. "You don't think of me as a kit?" she asked, "Then why did you say you thought I was like a kit?" Her green eyes looked guardedly out of the feathers, filled with a mix of uncertainty and something else she wasn't sure about.

Lexis carefully phrased what he was going to say to that while still being as honest with himself as he possibly could considering all the uncertainties. This was very delicate territory and he didn't want to give a bad response, "I said that I thought what you did was sorta like something a kit would do. I didn't mean to imply that I thought you were like a kit, because I don't. You're an adult like myself, and I think of you as such."

She perked up a little bit at that, then looked down, playing with a feather, "But you laugh at me when I do kit-like things... You don't like it...?"
