Here is just some information on the elements hope you enjoy <3

*The magical elements have correspondences with the tarot cards as the four suits. The four quarters (directions of the universe as used in magick ritual) and the Archangels also correspond with these same elements.

Element - Suit - Quarter - Archangel
Earth / Pentacles / North / Uriel
Water / Cups / West / Gabriel
Fire / Swords / South / Michael
Air / Wands / East / Raphael

ELEMENTALS
**The magical elements are said to be peopled by spirits and mythological entities called elementals or nature spirits. These are grouped into four main categories:

Earth:
Gnome
Dwarfs
Elves
Brownies
Hobgoblins
Leprechauns

Water:

Undine
Nymphs
Tritons
Mermaids
Mermen
Sirens
Harpies
Salamander

Fire:

Jin
Genies

Air:
Sylph
Faries
Angles

**Elementals are usually only visible to those with clairvoyant sight and are more likely to be seen at night in the mountains or country away from cities -- especially if you are tired or sleepy. Although elementals exist naturally, it is also possible to create one which will exist for a limited time -- no elemental has immortality. A created elemental is called an 'artificial elemental'.

**To the Ancients, elementals were the physical explanation of the universe. However, some contemporary occultists see them only as symbols for forces and otherwise not 'real' at all. Another word sometimes used for elemental is 'familiar' (usually in medieval witchcraft); the term is ambiguous, as it might merely be an ordinary household pet such as a dog or cat.

YIN YANG
**Chinese philosophy and acupuncture talk of yin yang. This is the idea of polarity, or opposite pairs, as shown:

Yin
Water
Contraction
Cold
Feminine
Moon
Negative
Passive
Ebb
Wane

Yang
Fire
Expansion
Hot
Masculine
Sun
Positive
Active
Flow
Wax

**The list could go on. In Chinese literature it is quite long. Some occultists suggest everything can be similarly arranged into related opposite pairs.

SIMPLE MAGICK
**Here is a simple magical technique you may wish to try. It is a variation of affirmation to help you to achieve your goal (magickal or otherwise), find a word or short phase which sums up what it is that you want to accomplish. Write the word (or phrase) down 10 times each day until you achieve success.

Actually, I was taught that wands = fire and swords = air. All the tarot decks I've worked with thus far confirm this.

What Wiccan works with archangels? They're a part of Christianity, not Wicca.

D: actually...
Quote:

And as far as Wicca goes Wands = Air, and Swords = Fire.

Tarot and Wicca = two different things my friend.

Archangels are found in a number of religious traditions, including Islam, Judaism and Zoroastrianism. In Biblical Christianity, the only archangel ever clearly named as being of the order is Michael;[2] Gabriel, named in Luke, is typically considered to be an archangel

So yes you're right...but, Typically the Christian religion calls them Angels except for the few High ranking ones. And, Archangels/Angels are a completely different thing than the christian religion itself.

Angelology the study of Angels, say yes there are Archangels in the Christian religion but, that doesn't mean that they are the only Archangels. And, this is just elemental representation.

First of all, where does that quote come from? It's not in your original post.

Secondly, I understand they are two different things, but that doesn't mean they don't use the same symbolism.

Thirdly, you
*The magical elements have correspondences with the tarot cards as the four suits.

Well, in the tarot wands = fire and swords = air. Therefore by the above statement the elements would have the same correspondences.

But Wiccans don't work with Archangels. Elemental or otherwise. And since this is (according to the Guild's name) a Wiccan forum, I don't understand why they are being mentioned here.

Yes, those that work with Angelology do. That's why they are mentioned.
