Merry Meet!
This is just a thread where you can share about your beginning experiences in Wicca. I love to make these threads cause I love hearing peoples thoughts and stories.
Well, I guess I'll start off::
I started Wicca when I was about 15,but I didn't fully get into it till now because of parental reasons.-I found Wicca when I was facing alot of trouble in my life and my friend told me about her religion and how it made her feel at peace. I became interested, and began my Year and a day study. My parents and my entire family is christian so, right now if I was to tell them, it'd probably be an exorcism by the whole family..
Now, its your turn ^_^

lol i know how you feel. i really don't remember why i started but i think i was 10, now im 16. it made me a better person and a better friend, than i was 6 years ago. it made me more peace of mind too. when i first started i remember that i locked my door (with 4 locks) and i turned around for one second and i looked back at the door and it was wide open. and really scared me cause i was the only one home plus i had the only key to one of the locks around my neck.
it also makes me feel at peace. not a lot of people at school really like me and i guess just turning to my other friend who years after i became wiccan she told me that shes one too i guess know i have someone i can talk to without worrying that there going to laugh at me or that its going to get around the who school

I remember I started in seventh grade. My best friend at the time got me one of the books for christmas because in her words: "Well, you liked the show Charmed so much, I thought you should know something about the religion behind the show." So I read the book, and something about it felt right, like that was where I should be. I've had to keep it on the DL for parental reasons too.
Its been eight years, and I got a little careless. Stupid me went and set her myspace religion to wiccan and my aunt found it...she's been drilling me for information on Wicca, trying to disprove everything I say about it...and her sister things I need to "Find God" again (my whole family is some denomination of Christian).

I started lookingt at Wicca as an alternative religion when I was about 16. I was unsure about it because I was raised a Christian. It wasn't until I broke up with my finance and went to College that I began to embrace the religion. I was about 18. now I am 21, belong to a small coven of five and have been initiated. I am more comfortable with myself than I have ever been. the funny part is, I am still have some of my Christian beleifs.

ok, Well I used to go to church when I was a kid and i was not a kid that had a lot of money. My parents were divorced, mom in school... and well, u know. Well, it became apparent that, to me, all the curches were about was MONEY!!!!! So I wanted to find something else, and BAM like a fist out of nowhere, I found Wicca. It is all about how I want it to be, how I precieve. I guess u can say the goddess had a special place for me... And I am more happy about everything than I have been in my whole life!

My story is a little strange. Ever since I was little I use to dream of this that would come true. Because of this gift I told myself to stop dreaming because I was scared. I was probably about 8! Later in my years, perhaps at the age of 11, I had weird day dreaming visions. Visions of places I've never been to. I ignored it and went on with my life. Ever since I was little I had a strong obsession with Egypt. Couldn't figure out why but I had everything Egypt. My projects were based off of Egypt so on and so forth. When I was about 18 I was flipping through a book and came across a picture. It was the same place I saw in my dream years ago except it was the front view. It was a temple in Egypt. It was Hatshepsut's temple. From that point on I started telling myself to dream again and again. I didn't have much luck but I was, with out realizing it, strengthening a gift of visions. Paganism and Wiccan practices slowly fell into my life without me realizing. It wasn't until one summer my sister invited me to a festival. It was a Pagan festival. It was lots of fun. I felt so at home and I understood everything people talked about. It was like I grew up there. It was a wonderful feeling. I guess I practiced the Wiccan and Pagan practices before I even knew they was a practice! I follow Baset and Sekhmet and Isis in my guides as my goddess'. I however do go by the God of the Hunt and Osiris and Anubis. There is a little bit more to the story but I think I'll leave it at that!

As a child, I was taught about the threefold law as well as the elements and animals. When I became a teen I learned about divination and expanded into mediating to the astral plane. The only thing is that I was not told that it was wiccan. About five years ago, a friend of mine introduced me to a book about wicca. It was almost everything that I was taught in my childhood. I have been practicing ever since. I enjoy studing celtic and druid traditions and beliefs. I love meditation because it keeps me balanced.

I discovered Paganism in 2006, when I was about 14, and thought it seemed like something I'd like. After reading more, I found more out about Wicca and realized that it was everything I believed, everything I needed. Since then, I'm kept at learning more and try to learn new things about Wicca as much as I can. I consider myself Wiccan despite not dedicating or being initiated because I don't think that they are required. I'm also eclectic and solitary.

Though I was christened as Episcopalian I was never really raised in any particular religion. When my mom started investigating Judaism I realized that I wanted a hands on religion. Wicca turned out to be it.
I found my first book on witchcraft at a local library when I was around 13. It creeped me out so I didn't mind it too much when the book was stolen from the library immediately after I returned it. I know now that the book was BS.

Well, my story is different and wierd. My parents told me ever since I was able to talk, I spoke English and so unknown language they just called it jeberjaber. I can still talk in that language and understand what I am saying. One day out of the blue I started having visions of the furture and past. In one of them I was an Atlantian princess. In another one I was an Egyptian princess who died after 6 day in the desert without food or water cause she ran away. Because her parents arrange a marriage to her step brother. Then when I was 13 I had a vision that I was some rocker girl who was on drugs and slit her wrists and died. When I was 15 I started mediating and really got into Wicca, then I made so bad mistakes and stopped. Now I have studied and researched alot that I hope I want make those same mistakes again. I need someone to send me some e-mails of spells and things to do with Wicca. My e-mail: Serena-Gold@hotmail.com
