Arsenic black, braided mane shadowed his eyes from the blinding sun on this particularly chilly afternoon. He was walking in a field that had a few trees here and there whose leaves were making the wonderous change of color. The grass was long and tickled his legs with every step he took. It was a nice area to walk in, but boy was he getting sick of being alone all the time.
Now he was just purely jealous of his sister. His sister had a mate and children. Arsenic had yet to come close to finding himself someone. Why did that bother him so much? He'd always been more of a loner. Quiet and observational. Hopelessly romantic, yes, perhaps that was the reason it bothered him so. Either way he probably wouldn't have a mate for a long while anyways. Best to just forget about it.
His icey eyes scanned the area for some form of water, for he was rather parched. They landed upon and very small stream. He hadn't even heard it's water's running, but it would do. He trotted towards it and bent his head down low to taste the cool liquid, which nummed his throat. It was clear and fresh. Delicious.

Fall. This was her month. The black mare moved silently through the feild, the leaves crunching softly under her hooves. Her braided mane fell over her left shoulder, waving back and forth as she moved. Her tail gently swished back and fouth in a breeze. Her crimson eyes searched the feeled, looking for others so she may talk to them. The quiet mare enjoyed her alone time but everyone wants to be with another for a little bit.
Her eyes caugh a flash of white on a sea of red. The white rose belonged to a..small stallion. Well, size wasn' everything after all, Tetra thought to herself. He was..busy. She didn't wat to bother him. She simply stood a few feet away from him, waiting for him to finish. Her eyes took in everything about him.

Arsenic's ear flicked as he heard the crunching of leaves from nearby. It was hooves that made his sound, somehow he could tell. He lifted his head slowly to meet eyes with a black mare. He quickly broke the eye contact, instead turning his attention to her highlighted mane and the crimson markings on her back.
But he couldn't just stand there and stare at her could he? That was just plain rude. "Um...Hello?" He soft voice drifted out uncertainly, as if he didn't know if he was doing the right thing and could be scolded at any moment.

"Hello..." The mare answered in her typical quiet voice. "Pleasent fall day, we are haven't? Soon enough the clouds will darken and snow will fall from the sky, dancing to the ground. Poetic, is it not?" She looked up to the sky, speaking in an mythical tone to her soft voice. She looked back to Arsenic after a momment with a soft smile. "My name is Tetra."

"Yes, the snow will fall and softly kiss the earth with cold embrace, as white as the very rose on my shoulder." He smiled. His voice became a little more sure, more certain that it was okay to talk to this mare, Tetra. "I'm Arsenic."
