User Image

This is the place where you can leave your suggestions, comments, etc about the guild newspaper.

Tell is if you liked this issue, if you didn't like this issue. Tell us what you liked or didn't like about it.

Tell us what you'd like to see in future newspapers, such as which herb, gemstone, god, etc that you'd like to read about.

Tell us what new articles we should have.

Just tell us anything really. We love to hear our members' feedback. And don't worry about hurting anyone's feelings. We need constructive criticism and your ideas to be able to make this newspaper better.

Here are some ideas/suggestions that have been given so far:
- A beginner craft practitioners section (how to get started)
- An advanced craft practitioners section
- An animal totem section
- A magickal creatures section (dragons, unicorns, faries, etc)
- A current events article. What's going on in the pagan world that we, a smaller, more secluded, audience should know about.
- Featured author of the month. Maybe not even author, but book. Like a book review.
- An astral projection/bilocation section
- A newspaper staff
- A featured Pagan artist/album section

So, we've had some great suggestions/ideas so far. Let's hear some more! Or maybe you could just tell us your thoughts on the current suggestions.

Okay, the...um...photoshop on the meditation article's...title (if you'd call it that) could use some work. Maybe it would look better if you had erased the background between her arms and her body.

Or maybe it looks funny that way. I don't know...try it, see if you like it, if not...don't use it.

Some things you just have to do with trial and error.

Yeah, I know, I did it really quick and wasn't thinking about that. I'll fix it right now before I forget about it. Thanks. smile

Edit: I found a different image that I like better, so I used a new one instead. 3nodding

And of course it was the only error I found...because it had to deal with my article. LoL

Really, it was just a suggestion. But if you found a better image...better images are always better.

Lol... I had thought the same thing. Not a big deal. It just encouraged me to actually find a better image, which I had been putting off for weeks. And I did... well, in my opinion it's a better image. 3nodding

I thought the articles very well thoughtout & put together. I expecially appreciated the article on amethyst, with the current topic about it going on in the main forum. I also enjoyed the spell article; I'm going to have to try out that house plant spell- as I sure don't have a green thumb.

A suggestion:
Considering the age-base on Gaia (mostly teens & pre-teens) I think it might be better to have some more user friendly recipes in the paper. Personally as a teen/preteen, I didn't have much experience cooking and I think more members might try out the receipes if they were abit simpler. smile
I know I would smile

That apple butter does sound good though. Anyone who makes it- want to send me a jar? xd

Thanks for that suggestion. I actually agree with you on that. I'll try to get a really simple, beginners recipe (or two) in there, as well as a more advanced one for people who are more experienced with cooking. How does that sound?

I think that sounds awesome! smile

edit: For future issues, I'd like to learn more about rosemary and/or cumin and I'd love to hear more about birthstones- in particular Ruby.

We did rosemary in our October issue. 3nodding

Thanks for your suggestions, I'll see about getting an article on cumin and rubies.

Does anyone have any thoughts about the current suggestions/ideas that are included in the first post?

I like the idea of having a dedicated staff - obviously if other members wanted to submit articles and such they would be welcome, but having a core group to work on the newsletter would be helpful.

I also like the ideas of having sections for different experience levels.

Also having an events section - it might be nice if it was divided by region and have a member or several that are from that area be responsible for gathering info on "local" events.

Just my 2 cents!

Actually about the recipes, I wouldn't mind more advanced one, I'm a bit of a cook myself. Instead of having recipes put into the newspaper why don't you make a cook book?
