How are winners chosen?

Dear Gaia users,

Now is your chance to show everyone your own unique style AND get rewarded for it! We are proud to announce The Gaia Avatar Arena -- a weekly contest where everyone votes for their favorite user created avatar. The top rated avatars will get rewarded with gold.

Do you get anything for being chosen?

1st place: 50,000 gold and placed into Avatar Spotlight on the front page
2nd place: 30,000 gold
3rd place: 20,000 gold

4th to 10th place: 10,000 gold each.

Can someone be a spotlight more than once?
Yes. You can even win MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE SAME WEEK! O_O

Now everyone can help vote for the avatar to be in the spotlight!

Every week, each user will get one chance to vote for one other user. By Sunday night, all the votes will be gathered and the winner of the spotlight will be shown on Monday morning. When the winner is announced, then everyone will be able to vote again for next week's winner.

So take your time to look for the best looking avatar. You can make a difference!

We've started using the voting system from users. We look at the ones with the most number of votes and select two from there ourselves.

How did members vote?

Voting for someone was done by clicking the [vote] option under their post.
YOU COULDD NOT VOTE FOR YOURSELF!
Once you voted, the page refreshed showing a message like this.
