.Forever... Post and Continue This On
[You don't need to officially join. Just post and continue on from there based on the information within the first post. By the way, this is modern times at night.]
Again. She was walking down the road again. Walking down the road alone. Utterly alone, with nothing. Nothing, but her own mind. Her memories were something she wished to push away, replace them with something better but yet, no matter where she went, no matter what she did; they were still there, looming over her like a dark cloud.
It was strange, even nostalgic from time to time, how this road seemed so familiar, to be winding in the same way as the rest. First leftwards, then rightwards, then back again until coming straight, straight into a city or a town. She smirked, remembering the first time the road had been like this, and remembering the times after that the road was like this.
“How long has it been?” She muttered to herself, her gaze lifting from the road and ahead to the lights she saw before her. “A week? A month? A year?” She laughed slightly, the smirk engraved onto her face. “How long has it been? Since I last had a place to call home?” She muttered again, her smirk had turned into a sick smile, one that was bone chilling and sinister to anyone who dared look. She sighed and brought her hand up to face, feeling the smile on her face, the way the lines went across her skin. She paused, her hand stopping on her cheek.
One…two…
She slapped herself, her cheek a bright red and her face back to normal. The same blank face she had whenever she came to any town or city. The same blank, sad, lonely face she had, which she tried so hard to keep. Even in the worst situations, she always tried to have the face, the same heartless, indifferent face, but it never seemed to last.
She stepped clumsily on the side of the road, swaying this way and that. Her lack of sleep slowly sinking in. It wouldn’t matter if she got to the town or not, whether she lived or not. It wasn’t as though she had anywhere else to return to. No one would care if she fell down, right here on the side of the road, and slowly drifted off into sleep, not knowing whether she would wake up or not. Whether she would live or not.
She felt her knees buckle, she had travelled too far, too long. She fell face first onto the dust on the road, the gravel hitting her smooth, pale face, and that alone nearly knocking her out. She starred at the road a little longer. Wondering if someone would come, if someone would drive by and bother to stop, to help her out. She doubted it though. Who would help out someone like her?
Covered in dirt and filth, her hair unkempt and in horrible condition. A small figure, hardly considered to be anything and seemed as though living on the streets as natural. A black trench coat covering her body, keeping her warm from the cold and the hood usually up, covering her face. Of course, if anyone stopped by they would notice a sixteen year old girl, hardly old enough to even be out at a time like this, laying face first into dirt, unconscious, or nearly so. Shoulder length hair brown hair, blond highlights, and pale skin. Appearing to be sick, or even worse.
She laughed slightly again, her hazel eyes flickering in and out of consciousness. Only a little more… She thought, looking to the town only a few miles away and back towards the road. Only a little more until I get there. She smirked for a moment. Hopefully someone will come…. She thought, as her smirk started to fade and she began falling into unconsciousness. ...Together.

Rayne smiled, as the breeze brought a faint scent to her nose. Tilting her fair skinned face to the sky she breath it in. Weakness.. She smiled to herself, small fangs peaking from her lips. Slowly, almost lazily she sauntered her way down the street. Most of the streets were empty, only the main streets were crowded with cars, and teen girls and boys trying to convince their school of popularity. Her once weak and feeble mind was now hightened and ready to pounce. Her senses told her to move left, as she walked in and out of curved alleys linking towards the end of town.
She licked her soft lips, moistening them for her up coming feast, and lifted her hand to comb through her dark, wavy, tangled mess of hair. She had not fed in days, her blood lust had sub sided for the moment, but now it was undeniable. Weakness, and fatigue were a taste she liked in her meals, such as any human would like an extra spice or something sweet with their food. She was not about to chase any mortal when she could easily seduce anyone else for her pleasure. Her skin prickled of the thought of the sweet blood she longed to enjoy.
Not much longer. She was still walking, her bright green eyes fixed on the upcoming wall, the night chill bringing her comfort, as if the wind was wrapping her in its arms and comforting her, and she turned the corner she saw her prey, she smiled, then forced a worried look to her face.
Relaxing her features she made her way toward the girl, who was now collapsed against the wall. "Oh my dear!" She cried raising her hand to her lips once she got into human sight. She rushed forward, the girl was illuminated by a street light overheard and she could see the dirt that covered the girl. "Are you all right hunny!?" She reached for the girl, her voice soft and soothing as a mother's would be to her child. She frowned, the girl was unconscious. With great care she tucked her arm around the girls body, being attentive not to wake her, she cradled the girls neck in her hand. She leaned in, kissing her neck gently, fangs bared, then she pulled back, shaking the girl gently. I can't feed on this girl yet.. She's to dirty..
She growled at herself, she knew it wasn't just the dirt that the girl was caked in, nor was it the fact she had no emotion when she was unconscious. It was her human habits for caring about people who were in peril. Which was very unbecoming of a vampire. [[Good?]]

 .Forever... [^^ Go Procrastination!]
She could feel her body shaking. Back and forth, back and forth. She coughed slightly, attempting to get out what dirt she may have swallowed when she fell down. She coughed again, this time stronger, and opened her eyes to see someone looking down at her. It was hazy at first, just a shape with a light over top, but, as her eyes adjusted, she noticed that her head was on this person's lap.
It didn't take long for her to bolt into a siting position and move away from whoever it was. When the initial shock subsided, she took a good look at who it was, a young woman perhaps, sitting in front of her. She blinked a few times, not noticing that she had already gotten into a defensive stance and quickly dropped it.
She probably just found me.... She thought, blinking a few times. Though how long did I go out? It doesn't feel like quite a long time. She raised her hand to her forehead, covering her eyes from the light, which was causing her a headache, not to mention the fact that she had gone from lying down to standing in mere moments.
She moved her hand a little over to look back at the person before her. It seemed as though she was worried about her. With a slight sigh, she spoke to her, "Ummm... sorry for that." She paused, "If I scared you, sorry. It's just that, I wasn't expecting anyone... really...."

Rayne reached out her soft hand to the girl, placing it over her own. "I was afraid you had been attacked." She said, her voice like silk a trick vampires often used to calm human nerves. "But you didn't seem injured in any way, so I thought I would wait with you until you woke up. Just in case someone horrid came by." She slowed her voice as she spoke to the girl, not wanting to cause her any suspicion. Or in case anyone decided to take a bite from you before I did. She forced herself to add silently. Proving to herself she was not going soft. Something about this girl struck the small cords of emotion inside of her which she kept at a distance from everyone else. Had somehow the girl whilst unconscious made a connection? She shook her head to rid herself of theses thoughts as she studied the girls actions. She did not seem to be very frightened of her situation. "Your so dirty, don't you have a home to wash up to? I'll take you there!" Brushing her the dirt from the girls hair of her smooth black skirt she stood, once again offering the girl her hand. Rayne felt older, as she had dressed for today. She had been playing the sophisticated women today, her shirt hung loosely under which she comfortably wore her favorite corset, although now that no one wore them, she hid it well.

.Forever... She listened as the woman before her spoke. She seemed to be caring, and honestly it made her feel better that the person she had run into wasn't some psychopath who probably would kill her. She nodded, to show she understood. "Thank you for waiting though-" She paused when she asked about her home. She glanced to the ground, could she tell her? Well, she'd have to or else they would be suspicious, right? To just walk off after lying in the dirt unconscious for who knows how long, saying that you would be fin would only make this person worry more. It wouldn't be good to do that, she could tell.
She looked back to the woman, giving a small sigh, "Well, to be honest, I don't have a home. I did originally, but..." She paused, glancing away again. "Let's just say, there was no reason for me to be there anymore." She glanced up again, after being brushed off by this woman and noticed that she had stood up as well. She had just noticed that they hadn't yet exchanged names, "Umm... I'm Amelia.... and you?" She asked as she stood up straight and brushed herself off to get whatever dirt this woman hadn't gotten off, not that she needed to brush Amelia off. ...Together.

Rayne smiled as the girl stood beside her. Her complection was soft but rough at the same time, not words in english could describe what she saw in the girl. "Mistress Rayne." She said softly. "I live in the old mansion just outside of town on the east. Its been abandoned for some years, I have a few house guests there, but you welcome to stay until you can find another place to go." She was pleased with herself, she had choosen a good word for 'other vampires' and the 'blood bonded'. I'm getting better at convincing of humans, I haven't even had to tap into her mind. She thought to herself. She was already scheming how to get her inside the mansion without attracting the other vampires, so she wouldn't frighten the girl, it was obvious she couldn't be left alone. She was more pleased by the fact she had not seen through her motherly lady facad. Rayne being a mere 40 year old vampire, her normal appearance was the age of around 17, and in these modern times, no 17 year old girl could pass for a adult.

.Forever... "Its nice to meet you Rayne, though-" She paused once again, thinking a few things over before deciding that she really shouldn't go. "I honestly can't go. I wouldn't like to impose and I'm actually heading somewhere. I've been traveling for some time and... well...." Amelia guessed she was rambling now. besides the fact that she wouldn't want to impose and that she had somewhere to go, she knew that she should never head out with strangers, that especially included those from other towns. As well, she had referred to herself as 'Mistress'. Last time Amelia checked, no one used that term anymore, and she said she lived in an abandoned house. Obviously if she lived there, it wouldn't be abandoned. She shook her head. "I really do thank you Rayne, but I just can't. I'm sorry." ...Together.

Rayne nodded. "Alright. Well if you ever need anything don't be afraid to holler." She smiled turning away, she couldn't believe the girl really believed that she was just going to leave her. No, she was going to be sure to keep an eye on this girl, she had already placed her own aura around her to keep away all other predators within at least 30 miles who were looking for a meal. She felt proud, she knew the girl was getting a little antsy, so she did not hesitate to turn her back on her, she almost thought she might follow her any way, or stop her to ask again. "And you wouldn't be imposing if I invited you." She added quietly, smiling to herself.

.Forever... Amelia gave a short nod to Rayne, "Thanks. And I'll make sure to drop by when I can." When she turned on her heel to continue on the way she was heading, she managed to hear what she last had to say. Amelia walked off though, deciding not to answer. She would be imposing, even if she was invited. That would happen no matter what, especially if Rayne paid attention to the news.
Amelia was glad to be away from that woman once she left the alley way and went down what appeared to be a main street. She got a bad feeling, like a chill, from Rayne. Though she seemed nice enough. perhaps it was just because she couldn't bring herself to trust anyone that she felt she had a bad vibe from even the nicest of people. I'm too suspicious. She thought as she turned around another corner.
Gurrrr....
Amelia glanced down to her stomach, clutching it. She had completely forgotten that she hadn't eaten, or slept, anywhere in quite a while. She stopped walking and leaned against a near by building while she watched people walk by. She didn't stand out too much, that was good. She reached into one of the pockets in the trench coat and pulled out a few coins. Only enough for a meal.... She sighed as she glanced around. Perhaps just walking in would be better. At least I'd be fed. ...Together.

Rayne smiled to herself vanishing for a moment, she reappeared at her mansion and was greeted by a less friendly vampire. "Do you always have to prey on everything you smell?" He said with a growl. Rayne returned his question with a seductive look and purred. "Yess." She laughed, brushing off his rudeness as he followed her through the house into one of the various sitting rooms. "I don't suppose you would share?" He asked, his voice rather dark. Rayne sighed, her patients growing thin. "No." She said it rather bluntly, avoiding long conversation she let herself slide into on of the soft, old-styled, cushioned chairs. His eyes scanned her and he frowned. "Mind picking me up a meal then?" Rayne looked up at him steadily, her green eyes growing darker into a sadistic jade. "No, and unless you intend on amusing me, leave my presence now before I decide to make a meal out of you!" Her words came out in one long low growl and the opposing vampire was gone immediately, it was then she let herself relax, to sort out the days events, and why she had not killed the girl instantly.

.Forever... Amelia smacked herself on the forehead. What good would that do me? She sighed and stopped leaning on the wall. She could head to a diner, but she'd use up her emergency money. She could beg for money, but that would mean more attention being drawn to her. She didn't need that right now. As well, if she headed to a diner, that only meant that there were probably tvs in there. Almost all televisions in diners were either turned to the news or sports channels.
She turned towards the east. Amelia couldn't head there, but she could take Rayne's offer, even though she knew she really shouldn't. She started off eastwards, heading back from where she came and turning left. In a little while she would be at the house, she only hoped that Rayne's other guests were as nice as she was.
In a little while, she had pulled away from the main street and had gone to where Rayne specified. At first she thought she was lost, with all the alleys and the fact that it was dark out, but within due time, she had managed to find the house and stood outside, gazing at it.
It did seem abandoned, but perhaps she referred to it as being abandoned because that would be the only way that Amelia could find it by outward appearances. Taking in a deep breath, and praying that she would be okay afterwards, she walked up to the door and rang the doorbell, waiting. ...Together.

Emilio opened the door slowly. His dark gaze falling upon a rather dirty wandering girl, but she didn't seem to be lost. He recognized Rayne's aura around her immediately. He put on a smile and stepped aside. "Rayne is in the sitting room, I'll show you the way." He said kindly, shutting the door behind her he began walking without waiting to see if she would follow. After a few turns her knocked cautiously at a white oaken door. "Yes?" Rayne's whimsical voice called from behind the door. "A guest." Emilio replied sullenly, trying to keep a smile from his lips. "Let her in." Rayne called, and the door slid open easily, revealing Rayne lounged in a soft cushioned chair, whined glass in hand. She had changed her outfit into jeans and a layered T, with one strap falling idly off her shoulder. She smiled at the girl. "Hello, have you decided to take me up on my offer?" She kept her voice smooth and motherly as she had spoken Amelia before, also forcing her fangs to appear human length which was becoming difficult with a glass of blood in her hand.

.Forever... Amelia got that bad vibe again the second the door was opened. The man who opened the door hadn't even bothered to ask why she was here. This reminds me of those horror movies I used to watch when I was younger. She thought as the man led her through the house, barely speaking to her. Amelia's vibe got stronger once the white door was open and she saw Rayne. Taking a glance around before stepping in, Amelia nodded. "Yeah, I guess. I felt kinda bad after you helped me and I just left. So..." She trailed off as she looked at Rayne who was lounging around. Amelia gave a slight shrug, continuing on, "I just felt as though I should pop by."
She tried, with all the might possible, to keep her stomach from growling. If it did, that would be quite embarrassing. Then the thought came to Amelia to ask, "Umm... Rayne, do you have any televisions in this house?" If she did, Amelia would like to see what news was brought up, if not, that was too bad. She just hoped that the images wouldn't be shown. She had seen enough of those when the story first came out. She guessed by now they wouldn't need to show them due to the fact that they had run the story for so long that most people would know the images either way. ...Together.
