It had been nearly a week since the foals had been born. They had been left comfortably snuggled in their baskets since then and that made him nearly as anxious as their birth had. He didn't know when they would emerge... Or if they would need extra time. How long had Nostalgia's young ones remained in their baskets?

He made his way back into the cavern, setting a small basket of apples down. They were the last ones he'd been able to find and he figured that they would make sweet treats for Kochu and, possibly, their foals.

He nudged his nose harder against the opening between basket and lid. It had grown so stuffy in his little home, he could hardly stand it! The voices on the outside of the woven cage made it all the more tempting to leave his basket home, so, growing more curious, the little foal continued to push his muzzle forward, attempting to knock the lid entirely off.

She leaned down and touched the end of her nose to the lid of the basket that had almost come open. She couldn't just leave him stuck in there when he wanted to come out so bad. "Careful little one." She spoke softly as she nudged the basket off his head.

She wiggled slightly as she heard sounds she didn't recognize along with ones she did. Flicking her ears she nudged at the top of her basket and imidetly set it back down. There were big things out there!

"Two little crows..." He murmured softly, teasingly as he moved towards the second basket that had shifted, touching his nose to the cover. "Come, little one... If you're ready you'll be safe."

She continued listening to the soft sounds coming from outside, curling more comfortably within the basket. She'd let whatever was outside keep moving for now... And she'd listen... And wait.

He could feel the long things on his back begin to twitch as he tried to stretch out, still uncomfortable by the restraining basket. Turning around to give them a glance, he didn't know what to think of them at first. They were almost see-through and light colored, unlike the dark body he seemed to share in similarity with the creature in front of him.

Turning back to the gentle voice's owner, he suddenly noticed that she too had those funny things on her back. He was just like her!

Finding it amusing, he tried to laugh, a simple and small noise escaping from his newly used windpipe.

She smiled as the little foal tried to stretch. It seemed he had gained her wings even if it was a bit bigger than she remembered boys of her breed to be at that age. "Careful little prince. Your wings are going to take a bit of stretching before they're useful."

She blinked as the lid was lifted off her basket. It wasn't so bright in there but it was bright enough compared to the darkness of the basket. Blinking until she could see properly she rested her head on the edge of the basket and watched what was going on.

Leaving Kochu to tend to the other two for the moment he moved towards the third basket... The quiet one. He leaned down, tapping on the lid lightly with his nose before tilting his ears towards it to listen for a response.

Her eyes flickered as she heard the sound above her basket, head tilting so that she could eye the lid for a moment before tapping twice in return. That little movement made the lid twitch slightly before falling still.

He chuckled softly, glad that there was nothing wrong with the third foal. He tapped lightly on the basket once more. "Come out, come out wherever you are..." He said softly. "... Everyone else is waiting for you."

She tapped in return again before slowly attempting to stand, legs wobbling beneath her as the basket lid fell back away from her head. Pale pink eyes were wide as she gazed up... Before quickly falling right back down.

He wiggled at her suggestion, and attempted to rise up on his new legs. Still quite wobbly, he managed to topple his way out of the basket, and from the cavern's ground then attempted to stand up once again. It was alot harder than it looked!
