Okay, so my friend and I decided to cosplay as Lolitas for a con we plan on attending in February (Anime-Arkansas), but she was worried she couldn't find anything to wear or that would fit her.

I told her not to worry because I remembered seeing someone post in my lolita guild about plus-sized online stores for lolitas. But I can't seem to find the thread, or remember who the user was that posted this...

Anyways, My friend Megan would greatly appreciate it if someone could send the links my way (she doesn't have Gaia.)

Sorry if this is against the rules, I just didn't know where else to post this. xD

These shops will do plus-sized clothing if you request it:

Fanplus Friend
In the Starlight
Anna House [In Hong Kong dollars, not US/AU/CN Dollars]

Depending on he measurements, she might actually fit into Baby or Meta items that have shirring, so look at their sites as well:

Metamorphose
Baby, the Stars Shine Bright

There is also a community on LiveJournal for plus sized lolitas which may have more information on sizing for brand items above:

EGL Plus

Also, you might want to keep in mind that a lot of girls who wear lolita are not going to take kindly to having the style called "cosplay".

Boconnotto pretty much covered the best places to get plus-sized clothing (besides making it yourself).
And she is very right about lolita=/=cosplay. It's fine to wear to cons, but it's not an anime character that you can dress up as. It's a street fashion.

Hmm I read this and instantly got offended...I dread to think what the other girls on here will think if they saw that you just called the Lolita fashion 'cosplay'.
Like EGL Goddess has just said, it's not cosplay, it's a fashion that most of us ladies and gents wear day in and out. It's also a lifestyle..not just a cosplay...

Thankyou boconnotto for posing those links for this member.

Resho please consider your words in future posts, please don't refer to Lolita as cosplay otherwise this guild will turn into WW3!

Thanks!

She said she was cosplaying "as" lolitas, not "wearing lolita cosplay".

I don't see why everyone here got so offended.
