After teaching Thanda a little bit more about flowers and their properties, Rishi couldn't help but feel proud of himself. Not only did he seem to be doing a good job at it, he wasn't hopeless either! But, it also helps when the one that you're teaching is interesting and understand, and Thanda was all of that. He definitely enjoyed her company and was having fun sharing his time with her. It has been far too long since he's done this with anyone, the last time he had done this was with his family in the past.
His tail flicked slightly as his lime green eyes gazed forward, today was a nice day.

The golden cheetah was happy to be having a rest, she enjoyed learning but it was tiring sometimes taking in so much information about so many flowers. For now though she was laying beside the leopard, yawning a little.
"So what are we going to do today then Rishi?" She looked up at him, her orange eyes staring at his green ones. They were beautiful. She loved eyes, each creatures eyes were so different but all so beautiful. Even the cruelest of creatures had amazing eyes. Oh how strange it was.

Ears flicked as Rishi turned to look at Thanda. Her question made him stop and think for a bit. They've done plenty of learning and such for today, that it would be a perfect time to take a break. Though, what to do. He pondered for a bit, "We've done plenty today that a break would be a breath of fresh air. Plus, we can't be working all the time or else things would get boring rather quickly!" He purred softly while is lime gaze looked around there.
Here in the savannah, he was not in his natural element, but Thanda definitely was. Curious, he looked to her, "Have you ever ventured into the jungle, Thanda?"

She listened, her orange eyes on him constantly, or at least till he metioned the jungle, then she looked around a little.
"I have often wondered what it would be like in there but I have not ventured inside, it's not a place a wandering cheetah would go on her own." It was her long way of saying yes she would love to visit the jungle.

Not too entirely surprised by her answer, Rishi rarely saw cheetahs come into the jungle. It was just a different element for them. But, with that it made him happy to hear that she wanted to go and see it. Which would definitely be a nice break since he knows of just a place to visit. With a large smile, "I'm glad to hear that...I know of a place that we can go and relax for the day. I like to go there when I want some peace, it's kind of like my hiding place."
He got up and looked at Thanda, "Just make sure you don't stray too far from me or else you might get lost." It was definitely easy to get lost in all those trees. "And then that would definitely not be a good thing."

"Sounds interesting."
She got up stretching her long legs, her tail flicking a little behind her. They were an odd pair to be travelling together but she didn't care too much. they seemed to get on well enough, they both didn't like lions. It all seemed to work in some way or another.
"Oh that sounds terrible, I won't be getting lost, honest. I would not want to, sounds somewhat scary." She smiled at him, just a little worried about the idea of getting lost in somewhere she couldn't run.

A smile graced his maw as Rishi replied, "It's a charming place, that's for sure." He flicked his tail as silence elasped between the two as he led the way towards the jungle. While he has a place that he calls his own in there, it's not very often that he is actually there. The leopard likes to travel around and search for plants, and then sometimes along the way meet a friend or two.
Ears flicked back to Thanda as he made sure she was close by, he didn't want to lose her in the midst of the jungle. His gaze then returned to the looming jungle up ahead. He knew the way to his special place by heart, he could wander to it with his eyes closed. "The jungle's very different than the savannah. They both have their special properties and I can't say I like one more than the other." He purred softly, as he glanced around, watching out for anything that could happen. Curiously, his gaze settled back to Thanda with a soft smile, "Do you have any family, Thanda?"

She smiled and listened carefully to what he said. She could imagine the two being very different though of course she had never put herself in a place that meant she couldn't run if necessary. She was small, as were most cheetahs and a leopard or lion could kill her easily. She was better at running then fighting.
"Family?" She was a little taken a-back by the question. It was unexpected. "I had a mate once... and with him I had five cubs. Three boys and two girls but they were wanderers and left at a young age. I have not seen them for a very long time and my mate? He could be dead for all I know. He left aswell so I am alone and though I have family, I wouldn't really call them family. What about you?" If she said, he had to. She did wonder what had happened to her children sometimes, she missed them so much.

As he walked through towards the beginning of the jungle, the trees started to grow tall and thick. They had begun to litter the grounds, making the sunlight dim as it strained through the leaves. Birds could be heard chirping off in the distance. Rishi's gazed looked back at Thanda as she spoke. Her answer really surprised him, he would have never imagined she had a mate with cubs. But then, when he looked at her, she would be a good mother. There was just something about her.
His gazed looked around, making sure they were on the right path before he turned back to reply. "I'm by myself now, have been that way since I grew up and was ready to leave my parents. I have no siblings, no mate or cubs yet. But, I would love to have a family someday," He smiled softly at the idea, "I'm surprised to hear you say that you've had a mate and cubs before. But, it's disheartening to hear that you haven't heard from them since. Kind of makes me want to see my parents again, to make sure they're still out there somewhere. But life can be cruel at times and we just have to make the best of it."

She listened to him and felt so sad for him. "Do you like it on your own?" She was curious, the poor thing had been on his own for so long now. She hated being on her own but since leaving her mate and becomming a lone female, well she had been on her own often but had found a way to distract herself. She had hunted constantly, even when she wasn't hungry, just to keep her mind distracted from the lonliness she kept feeling.
"I don't like being alone, its not really fun. I do agree though, you do just have to make the most of life. It's not easy though." She looked at the floor as she spoke. She was feeling a little ashamed of giving up on her family and not looking for them. She just wanted to move on though, leave it all behind and start again.

Ears pricked forward as Rishi turned to look back at Thanda. "I like it on my own, but at the same time, I feel lonely very often. It's nice to have time to think or do whatever I feel like, but it doesn't feel as good when I'm with someone." He loved company, especially when he got to do something fun or meet someone new. His green eyes caught her downward gaze and could only wonder what she was thinking about. Perhaps she was thinking about her family that she has not seen in such a long time. While he didn't know the whole story about what had happened, he wouldn't let that hold any judgement on her.
His tail flicked slightly as he could slowly hear the trinkling of water. They were close! Excited, he walked a little ways ahead before his favorite spot came into view. A medium-sized pond with a small waterfall. It was so quiet and perfect here, a place he liked to enjoy. His green eyes looked back at Thanda, "I love coming here, it's nice and tranquil. Plus, it's even more special when I have someone with me," He paused, "It's not all to easy to let the past be what it is, but it's nice to think about what the future holds. You never know, you might find yourself some company." And with a smile, he went to the water and put his front paws in. It was nice and cool to the touch.

Thanda looked at his as he spoke feeling really sorry for him. She was about to say something to him when he showed her his place and she stopped.
"Wow it's just so beautiful." She was amazed, it was just so gorgeous. She looked around while listening to what Rishi was saying. She couldn't help but smile at what he said and as he walked to the water she followed him and nuzzled his side a little.
"Thank You for bringing me here, this place is gorgeous!" She looked in the water at their reflections and lent slightly against the leopard. He was right, it's not easy to let go of the past, but somethings it is the best thing to do.

As Thanda nuzzled his side, Rishi couldn't help but smile warmly in return. He took his paws out of the water and put them back on the ground. She had surprised him as she leaned against him, that was unexpected. He turned his head to look at her, he couldn't help but feel content with her company. He clearly enjoyed it and not only that, they could help one another in many different ways. His tail flicked slightly as he replied, "You're very welcome!"
His ears flicked before he glanced at the water, their reflections were there in the water. "I like to come here often, there's usually no one here since it's kind of secluded. A perfect place to get away from all the worries of life and to relax!" He paused, "I remember, when I was little. One of my favorite things to do was come here and play in the water. I'd remember having so much fun, it's memories like those that make me look towards the future with a smile. You have to have something to hold precious to you."

She smiled as he removed his paws from the water, she placed her smaller ones in the place where his had just been. She was much smaller then him in many ways and she found it comforting that she was able to be around someone who was bigger then her and so much nicer as well. It made her feel secure.
"Memories are wonderful things Rishi. I never really played much when I was younger. My siblings were taken by lions so mother became protective over me. I love her very much, she gave me a good childhood but it meant I spent more time with her hunting then I did playing. Means I am a good hunter though!" She chuckled. "Even if I am all old now!" She giggled a little and looked at their reflections. She was so grateful to Rishi, he was a good friend.

Green eyes watched Thanda curiously, Rishi couldn't help but smile warmly as she placed her paws in where his paws just were. Her paws were so small and dainty compared to his larger, bulkier paws. At her words, his eyebrows shot up in surprise before he shook his head. "You're not old, Thanda! Don't think that!" If she was old, than he was old too! There was so much he still had left to accomplish in life before he got old, but he never really thought about age. It wasn't something that was all too important to him.
His ears flicked forward before he looked up at the sky, noticing that it was getting darker. It wouldn't be long till the moon took over the sky and the jungle would be pitch black. He couldn't let Thanda go now, perhaps she would stay with him? He glanced at her, "Being able to hunt is a very good skill to have! When I had first started learning, I was awful. It took me a long time till I was good enough," He chuckled softly. "It looks like it's going to get dark soon and I can't have you wandering through the jungle during the night, Thanda. Please, come stay with me." Afterall, he'd never forgave himself if something happened to Thanda.
