Maybe it was due to my lack of activity on our guild. (School is a killer) or maybe I am just a pure genius (Okay not.) But, I was on Gaia one day thinking "Dang. Our Guild needs more members!" So I popped on over to the guild forum. I thought about posting on the Organization/Military Guilds subforum.

Problem? There's a lot of details to include that I haven't though of. So my plan, throw in details about the following that you would like to include.

Quote:
Aim of the Guild What is your guild about? What do you hope to accomplish, what purpose do you serve? All that should be in here.
(Copied from the Guild rule thread thingy)
Open to attack? In the O/M, you can be open to attack, or not open to attack. If you are open to attack, that means other O/M Guilds that are open to attack can attack your guild. If you are not open to attack, that means you will be immune to other people's attacks. However, if you are not open to attack, you cannot attack someone else. If you do attack someone else, then you are flagged for being open to attack.

Story The background story of your guild, how it was formed, why, by who, anything interesting happened before that should be known. You should also set up the plot as it stands now.

Description This contains many diffrent parts, the basic description of your base, including- size, location (geographical location and above/underground), stock, units inside ect. It also includes anything else that you have to describe by the way of your base/equipment.

Defenses What do you have in the way of defenses for your guild, establish what they are, how they are used, and how it affects other players.

Rules
What are the rules of your guild? What are members/non-members allowed to do. Please note that your guild cannot allow rules that would violate the TOS (this includes cybering by PM). You should also have a section of how users can apply to your guilds here.

Member list Who are the members of your guild and what are their ranks?

Alignment Is your guild good, bad, neutral, lawful, chaotic or something in between? Describe the values/code of your guild here.

I plan on making some nice, camo, pics and spiffy up the thread so it could catch eyes of the wandering.

So add in your thoughts, opinions, whatever. We can include more to than what was quoted. So let your imaginations run!

Our story? That ain't too hard.

The Barton Army was formed during the 2007 Water Festival. Determined to bring victory to Barton Town, our small group fought together until the very end despite the impossible odds.

Although victory was not ours that day, we knew we'd won something far better than a shiny pixel trophy. Even though Barton's defeat was obvious, we were having such a good time together that it didn't really matter. Every time another team's superweapon fired, we'd just strap ourselves down, weather the blast, open the windows and drill a few holes in the wall to let the water out, and keep going.

When it was said and done, many of us didn't want to break up the group, and so the guild was made. We will continue to uphold our standing orders of protecting Barton Town and its citizens should a crisis ever arise.

Well, I have two versions.

The A-Team version (by the way, who here actually remembers that show?):

During the Water War of 2007, a team of crack commandos was formed. Later, they broke out of prison, for some reason, and are based somewhere in Barton.

Now, they are all successful soldiers of fortune. If you need help, and if you can find them, then you can hire... The Barton Army!

And Tom Yansy's first novel, Operation: Red Water:

Since the attempted assassination of Barton's own Damian 'Ian' Von Helson by the Aekean government 2 months prior, tensions within the continent of Gaia have risen to match the brutally hot temperatures of the Gaian weather.

But on August 7th, 2007, the first strike was made in a joint attack by Aekea and Durem, a mass bombing of the Barton naval base Diamond Harbor. The gloves are off, but with Gambino declaring its neutrality and with odds stacked 2-to-1, can Barton prevail?

Now, follow the journeys of the hallowed Barton 2nd Batallion, a fighting force of 600 fighting men and women dedicated from protecting their homeland from the Coalition of Aekean and Durem. A thriller packed with action, drama, and mystery, this novel captures the real-life events within its pages.

"From the Halls of Monte Haluna to the Hills of Henessy, never before have I read anything as... realistic in a military fiction novel," raves the Washington Post.

The Boston Times declares, "This up and starting writer [Tom Yansy] has really put himself in the spotlight for months with this tremendous novel. Exhilerating from cover to cover, you would want to read this book over and over just to relive some of the experiences those Bartons went through."

"Stunning... This book truly capture in accurate detail the accounts of the brave soldiers of the Barton Army during the Gaian War," proclaims the Barton Historical Society.

Lol, nice way to use the Marine anthem. How does it really go anyway? I forgot it. I used to know the air force one for the US too. Now all I now is the RCAF song (HUZZAH!) and "Hell of a Way to Die".
Btw, I re-read it, and I finally understand what is going on!! yay!

Here you go Doc, the lyrics to the official hymn of the most badass fighting force on the face of this planet, the United States Marine Corps. Can I get an oo-rah?

From the halls of Montezuma
To the shores of Tripoli,
We fight our country's battles
In the air, on land, and sea.
First to fight for right and freedom,
And to keep our honor clean,
We are proud to claim the title
Of United States Marines.

And here's a little something to sing along to.

Hoo-ha! Like we used to say at Band camp!

I actually considered leaving Canada in a few years to join the Marines, because someone told me they accept Canadians because we're like bff's, but then I decided to stick with Canada.

But I could fly (Cant, because I have damn glasses and I can't have my vision fixed and then fly) I'd go to the U.S., because all we have is Griphons(did I spell that right?) and F-18s. Oh and Seakings, but I'm not proud of them...

Because that got me into my kick-a** military mood, time for another song! Wether you like it or not!

RAF Marchpast Trio (wtf does that mean?)
Through adversities we'll conquer!
Blaze into the stars!
A trail of glory!
We'll live on land and sea
'till victory is won!
Men in blue the skies are winging
In each heart, one thought is ringing,
Fight got the right!
God is our might!
We shall be free!

The RAF MPT isn't as awesome as the Marines. But then again, we do have

Oh What a way
What a Helluva way to die
with a rifle up your....

You get idea. I know the entire thing by heart, its fun to sing with my squadron on survival weekends. (cadet squadron, I'm not quite military yet neutral )

Especially since finally got my grouping good on my squadron`s rifle team. But instead of shooting you between the eyes, I have a habit of shooting to the right and down...

Oh and it`s probally more dangerous with me serving...

With my personality, I shouldn't be allowed 100 meters within the vicinity of any explosives. Or fighter jets. Or bombers. Or bombs. Or any weapons whatsoever if they don't people to get killed. But in enemy territory, that's a different story...
