Umm...
I have a good inventory. I think every so often I need to gather up about 50k and go try and do something totally new with my avatar, because I can have pretty much any color avatar with pretty much any other color avatar and have a moderately nice avatar.
But good items to have:
Visors
Those goggle things. Torque shades?
Grecian gloves
grecian sandals
oculus and some basic wigs
I have the pink antionette, an egyptian, and the elemental hair
peasant gloves
all the paper head items
pretty much all the stockings and socks
lots of sandals
chest items, like pins. Skull pins, g pin, the clover pin. And ties.
anklets, the golden ones.
I use gold a TON, so I have certain gold items I ALWAYS have on when I do gold. It's a gold head item, like laurels or a circlet or crown if laurels don't work for whatever reason, usually the gold locket, gold bracelet, gold pocket watch, and gold anklet on left leg to counter the bracelet and pocket watch on the other side.
a good variety of colored main equips.
A good ATer is up to their eyeballs in accessories.
Those are really my staples. Of course, I'm an ATer, I almost always match and I definitely color coordinate. But these are all good items that I use quite a bit, and are very versatile.
OHOH PIMPIN CANES AND COOLERS ARE GREAT. omfg, for purple in the midsection. <3
