Heh... Hehe... Have I told you about my baby yet? That is, my copy of Depraved and Insulting English. Oh, such a glorious lexicon of archaic insults I have never before laid eyes upon.
acrotophiliac n - A person who is sexually attracted to the stumps of amputees.
burke v - To murder by smothering
blissom v - To copulate with a ewe; said of rams (and less frequently, shepherds).
demivierge n - A woman who is sexually promiscuous but retains her virginity.
fireship n - A diseased prostitute.
gugusse n - A young homosexual with a penchant for priests.
intromission n - Insertion of the p***s into the v****a.
microphallus n - An abnormally small p***s.
sacofricosis n - Habitual rubbing of the genitals through one's pant pocket.
kordax n - A p***s dance performed by horned figures in the Dionysian festivals of ancient Greece.
hemothymia n - The irresistible desire to murder.

Once upon a time there was a comedy skit with this theme... it was called "bulbous bouffant" but I don't remember what the guys who did it called themselves... damn funny, though.
Not that unusual, but I like "manky"... but perhaps I just have a thing for British slang (watched a lot of BBC before my tv died).
::::shrugs and wanders off::::
Later smile

There's a manky cat down the road from where I live...
My favourite word is 'verisimilitude'.

From the Latin veritas, -atis - f + similis, -e n; later verisimilis, -e. Probably also passed through French at some point...

Here are a couple of words that just... taste 'yummy' when you're saying them.. (At least, they do to me. Forgive me, I'm a strange individual.)
Arcane - there's just something about it. Most people at least have an idea of what it means, but how many people use it regularly?
Defenestration - throwing someone or something out of a window. It's such a wonderful word, and it just sounds so painful!!

Kazemuki From the Latin veritas, -atis - f + similis, -e n; later verisimilis, -e. Probably also passed through French at some point... Means 'to have the appearance of truth or reality'.

atrixa Means 'to have the appearance of truth or reality'. Yupyup. And then it was bastardized by the French. Stoopid surrender monkeys.

Kazemuki You mentioned defenestration. That is insta-win. Yay! Someone else shares my love of the word?? That makes me very happy! I first came across it in The Tamuli - David Eddings. At least, that's the first time I remember.

AH, I got it from my Latin class. Every week, we've got to fill out a sheet with four or five words and include the definition, Latin roots and forms, meanings of said roots, and related words from said roots. Fun stuff.

I feel really stupid mentioning these words, but they are regular words that I think sound funny. Fork and Purple.
Another word that I enjoy is Hippopotomonstrosequippidaliophobia, it is, get this, the fear of long words. Silly in my opinion. How are they ever going to tell anyone what they fear. I am quite in love with the phobia's, some of them just make me giggle, like the fear of something being to the left of you, how do you survive??
