The world of Gaia, once a beautiful and pristine place, has become infected. There is a plague of human-like creatures that defy logic with their reality-bending powers, and they threaten to breed and overrun the four continents of Aekea, Barton, Durem, and Gambino. The major cities have been lost, but fortunately, there are groups fighting back across the globe. Situated in structures known as Guilds, these warriors seek to live in a world that is free from the garbled cry of, "no0b plz giv gold lol!!!1!"
This is something of an experimental roleplaying game where the players create a personality for their own Gaia avatar (which, of course, can be spruced up with the magic of TekTek). The world is quite obviously a reworking of the Gaia World, blown up into global proportions; and the enemies are parodies and satires of the idiots that hang around in the main forums. Due to its nature, this roleplay would not be very nice, nor very serious; I kind of envision it as a cathartic experience for the players, especially the ones who've spent some time in at least the General and Extended Discussion forums.
Perhaps the biggest draws would be ease of character creation and the chance to wail on what irks you most when it comes to Gaia (in literal form, of course!). I wouldn't expect very much from players, just so long as their posts aren't completely unreadable and/or garbage. Some may also be enamored of the (fairly simple) battle system that will be in play.
This is purely to judge interest in this idea; if there's enough interest, I will create it.
