The apcalypse is supposed to be the destruction of the earth. I believe that John covers it in Revalations. I think that the revelation of the earth is one of the most disscussed and argued thing in the bible. It is very to understand what is supposed to happen. All I know, is that after the Trumpets ring, Jesus will come and take those who where murdered for their belief in Jesus. Then he will take all those who have died to heaven then he will come for the believers that are still alive. After the Rapture, which is what I just described, there is supposed to be a tribulation. Basically it is three years for anyone to say that they believe that jesus died for our sins and was risen as our savior. After those three years, seven will follow where Hell reigns on earth. And then finally, at the end of those seven yars, God will destroy the earth with fire. Please remember, I am not a biblical scholar. Many of the things I said is to my understanding and may not necessarily true. But, if you are interested in knowing more, read revalation and maybe ask your pastor.
