The moons had finally passed, and while Alas had seen plenty of Crunch and the rest of his pack they had not had time alone together. Now she returned silent and wanting more then just her next training lesson. Now she wished to talk to the dark blue alpha. She wanted to speak to him of her feelings, of what she had learned of her own pack, of her concerns, of their future, and of his wounded cousin's strange behavior. So many things were on the pink healers mind as she slid through the dark forest her nose carefully trying to pick out where Crunch was.
Alas feared stumbling into the injured Musketeer, or Twix who did not seem to like her, or even Gracia, for now she wanted only to speak with Crunch. Her heart gave a slight flutter as she thought of him and she blushed shaking her head at her head over heels behavior. "Tonight is for important matters..." she muttered soflty to herself.

After having introduced Alas to his family, the alpha had slept hard in the little area that he had claimed in the den. Even with the scent of fish heavy in the air, the large deep blue wolf had slept well. That was up until Musketeer started to slack on his patrols and the Alpha began the traditional pacing of the border.
As Crunch rounded the border in the direction of Alas' pack, he looked sorrowful. The two had alot to talk about, and he needed to give her another lesson in fighting. But as his deep eyes looked around the alpha couldn't help but also remember he owed his sister a talk as well.
Oh the memory of the questions being shot out was embarrassing. Where had that Gracia came from? He didn't know and personally Crunch never wanted to see that one again. His kind sister was suppose to be quiet and shy, not competing with Snickers in in-subornation.
Coming around a group of trees the alpha caught a fresh trail of Alas' scent. His heart fluttered up, this the male was still amazed by, but maybe knowing Alas like this...It gave him some knowledge that he didn't have to always be a brute. The soft voice tickled his ear.
"And what important matters would that be fair Alas?" he questioned coming into a clear view smile in place.

Alas was so caught up in her thoughts she almost bumped into Crunch. She gave a startled gasp at his words and flushed. "Crunch! I was just...you.." She laughed and cleared her throat.
"I'm sorry...I meant to say I was just looking for you. We have much to talk about..and I believe I have another lesson due." She smiled softly and moved to give his muzzle a light lick.
It was hard to put aside the emotion she felt around this male, but she knew she had to explain everything to him, though some she feared. If Crunch realized that her pack was a danger would he ban her from his lands?

Crunch didn't step back when Alas walked into him, instead he kindly nosed her cheek. It did his heart well to see her safe, but something in her scent had him concerned even as she gave a soft laugh.
The blue ears perked up and the alpha tilted his head at a partial angle. Searching eyes looked over the soft pink healer and then with a straightened head, he nodded once. "That we do and yes the moons have passed for your next lesson to comply."
But seeing something in the lighter brighter eyes, the large male nudged her neck. "What is bothering you first, please tell me Alas. You look like you have seen a pup killed."

Alas sighed and sat down looking at the male before her she tried to sort through and find the words to explain. There was so much to discuss, Twist wanting to meet him, her suspicions about Twist, Musketeer's injury, and of course her feelings for him. She frowned and pawed at the earth uncertainly before looking back at him.
"There is so much to say, and a pup has been...changed not killed but, in danger. I'm to ask you to meet with my Alpha, yet I almost don't want any alliances between you. I fear that she is in league with the lynx, that shes been manipulating everyone in the pack. I know how wrong that sounds how traitorous, but I would not say it if I didnt believe it!" She took a deep breath and looked at Crunch uncertain now that she had blurted out her thoughts.
"There is more...I need to tell you what happened to Musketeer." She shook her head at the thought. What could have compelled that silly silver wolf to get anywhere near humans.

The smile that had been on the male's maw had disappeared all together. Crunch listened closely to everything being said and just locked his jaw. Did he really want to meet this young and ignorant alpha?
"Working with the lynx that you wanted lessons from me to help protector her from." The male restated this fact out loud. He wasn't mad at Alas, hell the male hated seeing the pink femme leave his side, but he really didn't knowing of such a young alpha with adults following her. It never seemed right in his mind.
With a tired sigh Crunch nodded, "I know Alas, and you care a lot about your alpha. But I don't know. What type of tone did she have when she found out about my pack?" He could classify what was this ones true intension if Alas would be honest with the fashion her alpha had brought up the need to socialize with his pack.
"And how many wolves do you say are in your pack?" Crunch wasn't going to go into a meeting with another alpha blind. That was just down right stupid.
The thought of the other alpha halted at the mention of Musketeer. "What happened to him?" the large blue male had fallen back into the mode he had live in all his life. However, he wasn't growling as much, maybe it was cause Alas was near him and he didn't see the point of doing such a thing.

Alas watched as the smile vanished from the alpha's muzzle, but she had expected as much. What she was saying was far from joyfull news, it was difficult to explain. She looked down and nodded, "yes the one I thought needed protection."
She made a quick count in her mind and frowned. "There are six adults in the pack, including myself and the one kept prisoner in the caves below the cliffs. Then there are about five pups, but they are on the verge of adolecence." Thinking of the young ones was what distressed Alas the most for she feared they were the most corrupt.
"I started to suspect Twist when I spoke to one of the pups, he was...brainwashed like some sort of...I don't know. It felt so wrong to think that of my own alpha! Crunch if you could only see and hear for yourself sometimes the things Twists days the way she acts! She has the power to be rid of that Lynx, but why hasn't she done it? Then the other day we came across a wolf that had been attacked by the lynx, it was horrible Crunch. She was incoherent, but I heard her muttering under her breath about an evil alpha's orders. I haven't come to the conclusion alone Crunch, I'm afraid for anyone in the pack who hasn't already been brainwashed. I don't want to bring your pack any harm either, but Twist wants to meet you. I didn't know what I could tell her...except that I would tell you."
The pink female seemed to deflate as she tried to think of the best way to phrase what she had to say about Musketeer, she did not want Crunch to worry. Alas was certain the young male would make a complete recovery, she had pulled out the arrow easily and seem that the area was clean. There wouldn't even be any visible scar.
"Musketeer...was helping a female lone, he was trying to find her water. He stole it from a human encampment some ways away, and they shot him with an arrow as he fled. I double checked and his tracks were covered, he asked me for help and I patched him up. He'll make a full recovery...I just didn't understand why he did it." Alas sighed softly, but at least she had explained the more difficult matters. If Crunch wanted her gone now then any talk of their future or feelings would be voided.

Listening closely to everything Alas said, the alpha stood with an impassive look. When Alas told him the about the wolves that she was counting, Crunch added a couple more.
"So about fifteen wolves, but I'm also going to count that lynx. Can't be too safe, especially if you're suspecting Twist of not being who she says she is," Crunch stated and looked dead into Alas' eyes. "As for the reasoning for not chasing off the lynx, if she isn't working with it, I have no idea. No feline would live in my lands with my knowledge. Lynx are infamous for their trickery."
THe blue male paused and looked at Alas, when she mentioned the attacked wolf, Crunch didn't know what to say. So he said nothing. Crunch was listening to everyword that came out of the healer's mouth. The mention of the young alpha wanting to meet him, it didn't really bother him, but the location and how many wolves did.
"Who all is to meet and where?" The bitter tone could not be covered up, but Crunch wasn't about to sacrafice any of his pack for this derranged alpha he didn't even know.
However, the large male locked his jaws at the mention of Musketeer. Working it out, Crunch then thought the words over, "He was helping out a lone female." The human incampment might have made the aggressive alpha flip and snap, but looking at Alas. Crunch would have done the samething, possibly smarter, but the same thing. Looking towards the den, Crunch now understood why the silver male hadn't been around.
"I can't repremand someone over something I would do."

Alas nodded at Crunch's words, she felt badly for telling him her thoughts of Twist, but Crunch had a right to know what was on her mind. If her Alpha was indeed as wicked as Alas feared, then it could put him in danger. While her loyalty knew no bounds, Crunch had earned that loyalty before Twist.
"Twist made it extremly clear she wants only the Alphas or perhaps Betas of the two packs to meet for safety reasons. I believe meeting in the land between your two territories would be best as well so that neither has any advantages."
Crunch's tone made her heart sink, but she understood the way he felt for his family, his pack. His words about Musketeer made her look at the blue alpha curiously before nodding. She wondered then if the corpse colored female had managed to win over the silver charmer. She certainly hoped so, it would give Musketeer better focus.

"So the power of the packs are to meet, you wouldn't want to be around the meeting would you?" he asked Alas. If this was to go down, then the family he had plus the love for Alas, Crunch wanted the right wolves to be there.
"The location was that what I thought would work. Do you know how many wolves she is going to bring with her?"
Crunch looked at Alas as he spoke and seeing a flash of pain in her face, he stepped forward and nuzzled her. "Alas, don't worry. The only thing that I want to know is where is Musketeer? I haven't seen him since before his patrol a couple days ago."

"It was made rather clear that my presence at the meeting was unwanted." She kept the unhappy tone from escaping into her voice. Alas didn't like the way Twist seemed to switch around from a sweet caring alpha to an irresponsable and seemingly cruel one.
"I assume it will be her and one other, the beta puppy perhaps..."
She relaxed slowly at the nuzzle and returned it gently licking the blue males muzzle. "He wanted to recover a little bit away from the packlands so he wouldn't bring any danger to anyone, he's not to far from a patrol spot. I'm sure he'll feel better in a week or so...might limp for a while, but that too will fade."

"Then you would be returning to your pack when the meeting commences?" Crunch needed to ask this question. His heart didn't like not having Alas around, heaven forbid the younger and presumably more restless alpha and her comrade do something foolish.
"Well, since I don't have an alpha female, at this moment," the dark blue eyes looked at the healer and gave a half smile, "I'll most likely bring Twix with me to the meet, for I know she won't let me go alone." However, when ever Alas spoke of her alpha and those that were higher in rank, it confused him.
Most alphas wanted those of experience and quality at their side, yes Twix was his sister, but she knew how things were to run. Plus, spirits forbid, if something was to happen to him on a patrol, at least Crunch would know his family was in good paws.
Then the tone shifted again to the silver cousin of Crunch's, the alpha nodded his head, "Very well. That is always good to hear."

"I will head towards the ocean and wait there...I would like to remain in the area between the two territories, but I don't want Twix angry or suspicious." She was trying to have faith in her young alpha.
She gave Crunch a soft smile and nodded at his words. "Your sister will ensure your safety and she seems to be diplomatic at that...though I did get the feeling she didn't approve of me." Alas held back a slight frown, after all there would be plenty of time for her to try and win Twix over. She felt badly at the beta had looked at her so dissaprovingly, the last thing Alas wanted was to cause a scuffle among siblings.
She looked at Crunch with a soft nod about Musketeer, but remained silent on other subjects. Though she wanted to speak about what lay between them she felt the time was wrong for such a conversation. If they did not talk about things now though, would they ever get the chance again? Perhaps I should seize the moment while I can... the pink healer thought to herself.

Crunch nodded in understanding, it would kill him to see this Twist claim a conspiracy rumor with Alas over speaking to his family. So he didn't say anything on the subject.
Though Alas spoke right of his sister, the alpha just smiled back at her. "That she will, but for your case. She just doesn't want me to go nuts over the first female I meet, no matter how beautiful and kind they are. Possibly she wanted someone more like me to be mate, but that just doesn't fit with opposites attracting now does it?" With his last words Crunch winked one of his red lightninged covered eyelids at the soft pink femme before him. He truly was a different wolf around Alas, but that was a good thing....or so he hoped.
Though there were new matters pressing, Crunch remembered the reasons why Alas originally came back to the land. Would he seem like a bad alpha if he didn't go straight to his family and discuss these new issues with them?
Ah, those matters could wait, he had made a promise to Alas to train and plus talk. They still had a lot to talk about between them and their hearts.
"Alas, do you still want a lesson and talk about...well us? or are you ready to go back to your pack? I know you don't want your alpha more upset with you then she seemingly is."

Alas slowly moved to lay down deciding she had best get comfortable if she was to broach a subject that might take them some time to work through. She nodded at Crunch's words and gave him a soft smile.
"I hope I can change her mind..." She smiled at Crunch as he winked and streached out. She gazed up at him a long moment before nodding softly and looking down.
"I want to dicuss matters between us...it's important. Even with things so unstable...I want you to know, how I feel about you." She gave a slight smile. "A lesson at this point might not be such a bad idea either..."
